a young man, he was interested in theatre and
anatomy.

fashion houses like Allegri, Bagutta, Hilton, Sicons,
Gibo, Montedero and Tendresse.

• In 1973, he opened a design office in
Milan at 37 Corso Venezia.
• He founded his fashion house, Armani,
with his friend Galeotti on 24 July 1975.
• He is considered the pioneer of red-
carpet fashion.
• He was the first to ban models with BMI
under 18 after Ana Carolina Reston
starved herself to death due to anorexia
