2. I love when I have those aha recycle moments, when I see a use for
something I’m about to discard. Such was the case recently with this empty
tissue box.
A AHA MOMENT
3. What I ended up with was an “envelope” to present either money or a gift
card in and…

5. 1. Gently pull the sides of the tissue box apart so that the box is flat.

6. 2. Turn the flat box over so the tissue opening is facing down and cut off the
two rectangular flaps.
STEP 2
7. 3. Turn the flat tissue box over and cut on the crease to the right of the tissue
opening.
STEP 3
8. 4. Turn the piece over so that the tissue opening is facing down and tape
down the flaps.
STEP 4
9. 5. Turn it over and either insert a bill or a gift card. You can then tape the
opening on the right.
STEP 5
10. 6. You will use the other side panel to make the gift tags. Fold the panel
lengthwise.
STEP 6
11. 7. Cut along the fold, punch a hole in the top and attach a ribbon. You have
two gift tags.

12. At Christmas, I filled empty tissue boxes with dollar bills. I used painters
tape to connect them end to end, folded accordion style and stuffed them into
the box. The look on the faces of my nieces and nephews as they pulled the
long bill chain out of the box was priceless. I found that idea on Pinterest.
