One Point Per Slide – Why It’s Important and How to Do ItStinson
PowerPoint presentations have come a long way from bullet points and ClipArt. Presentations have evolved with not only the presenter and the audience, but also our preference to be moved and not sold to. One of the biggest presentation trends is having only one point per slide. Check out our presentation to see why having only one point per slide is important!

The Great State of Design with CSS Grid Layout and FriendsStacy Kvernmo
For far too long we've been forced to reuse layout patterns that have worked in the past, creating a web full of sites that all look the same. Narrow timelines, browser support restrictions and lack of a true grid system have led us to create work that is "good enough".
I've spent years exploring how we can make the web a more unique space. With some of the newer CSS techniques available, we can start to make more creative designs. CSS Grid Layout is on the horizon and will play a major role in the design of our sites. Finally having a true, 2 dimensional grid will give our layouts much more flexibility and it is on us to explore the possibilities.
This talk was presented at CSS Day 2016.

Copyright, Fair Use and Creative Commons in the Digital ClassroomNaomi Bates
learn how fair use can be used for educators and students to inspire and help create responsible digital projects. Includes information on CreativeCommons and public domain, as well as many other resources and websites that can help guide the classroom forward
What do you do when you teach in a computerless classroom and you happen to be a technogeek? Moreover, you teach adult students who claim they have no time to work on their English between classes? And then, you notice that their writing is lagging behind their other competences? You can accept the situation, or you can try to change something.
Online forums can help here, by creating a real need for communication. While I haven’t flipped my classroom completely, I have managed to rotate it slightly. To motivate the students to write, I tempted them with authentic online materials, such as YouTube videos, short stories, non-fiction texts and webquests. In my presentation I will show how these serve as effective writing prompts. Moreover, they help both the teacher and the students explore their own interests and hobbies, which might not always be catered for in the textbooks.
This presentation was made to participants at the recent Comview 2012 annual conference (Victorian Commercial Teachers Association). It illustrates some of my favourite web2.0 tools to use in the accounting classroom, how they can be used and shares some classroom uses.

Hello, everyone. I would like to introduce myself to this network and spread word about myself because you have seen my first PowerPoint upload.
I want to take the time to progress my public recognition even further, by showing off my own profile, as well as what I want to do.
I've split up the process of what I want to do into five very important stages that you can also use it for your advantage. I'm describing each stage and what I've done, what I'm doing, and what I want to do.
Please take the time to follow this as well as do what's at the end of this presentation, which is simply following me on some sites. Anyway, have fun and please leave comments!

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
