This document summarizes a research project studying representations of Circe and Aeëtes, two Greek deities whose classification as mortal or immortal varied in different texts. The project aims to understand mechanisms governing expressions of immortality among Greek gods and how gender paradigms influenced religious and political thought. Findings may help modern creators working with Greek myths, especially in video games and screenwriting, to bridge the gap between classics scholars and modern media. The research is funded by the Foundation for Polish Science and EU Regional Development Fund.
