This document provides the design details for a specific flat stage right set piece for a play. The flat includes a fire escape ladder to indicate it is upstairs and add realism. The color scheme is pale beige and dark brown bricks to portray a realistic Manhattan flat from that time period. Additional dirt and scruff will be added with dark brown and black paints to emphasize the lower social class context.

This is the design
for my specific Top
flat Stage Right that
I was responsible
for. After
researching the
play and the
context of the
Manhattan flats I have decided to include a fire escape ladder on my flat to
help show that it is the upstairs of the flat and adds to realism.
The colour schemes is a pale beige background and dark brown bricks to help
portray the realism of the flat I will also dirt and scruff up my flat with dark
brown and black paints to help emphasise the context of Manhattan at this
time and to show how they are in a lower social class.
