California Sun Cups (Camissonia bistorta) is a native annual/perennial herb that grows 1-2 feet tall with bright yellow cup-shaped flowers from March to June. It is well-suited for wildflower beds, prairies, and containers due to its early and long blooming period. The plant requires full sun, sandy well-drained soil, and winter/spring watering followed by summer drought. It is drought tolerant once established and re-seeds readily on bare soil.
