CONCEPT The game is a pleasure-generating activity that is performed with a purpose external to itself if.   (B Russel. 1970). The game is a vital activity with high involvement in the emotional and great importance in the socialization process of every human being, especially during childhood, a period in which they develop physical and mental capabilities contributing heavily to acquire and consolidate in a creative patterns behavior, relationships and socialization.
CLASSIFFICATION Exist very much ways to clasiffication a games Ice breaker. Cooperative games. Revision games. Symbolic games.
How to choose games A game must be more just fun. A game should involve “friendly” competition. A game should keep all of the students involved and interested. A game should encourage students to focus on the use of language rather than on the lenguage itself. A game should give students a chance to learn, practice, or review specific language material.
General benefits Affective:  Encourages creative and spontaneous use of language.  Promotes communicative competence. Motivates. Fun. Cognitive Reinforces . Reviews and extends.  Focuses on grammar communicatively.
Class dynamics Student centered. Teacher acts only as facilitator. Builds class cohesion.  Fosters whole class participation. Adaptability Easily adjusted for age, level and interests. Utilizes all four skills.
Advantage Through games children experiment, discover and interacted with their environment. Games are a welcome break from the usual routine of the language class. Motivating and challenging. Help - students to make and sustain the effort of learning - encourage many learners to sustain their interest and work. -the teacher to create contexts in which the language is useful and meaningful.
Provide language practice in the various skills-speaking , writing, listening and reading. Encourage student to interact and communicate.  Create a meaningful context for language use.  Integrate students. Enjoyable and meaningful. Integrate the four skills in the English class.
Disadvantage A game must be noice. A game generate disorder. They speak in Spanish not in  English.
