Asset Procurement Manager, Okinawa, Japan (2012 – 2015)
- Manage and systematically replace furniture assets and lounge equipment for over 140 dormitories and residences
throughout Okinawa, Japan and Korea; oversee the procurement and obligation of $ 4.3 million dollars’ worth of
program funding.
- Prepare and submit annual budgets in excess of $5M for collateral equipment to Marine Corps headquarters.
- Evaluate and recommend suppliers for furniture installations, removals, and asset disposition for the continuous
improvement of service members’ quality of life.
- Coordinate transportation request for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Research and identify improper historical trends in asset tracking reports, saving employees’ time in submitting
adjustment transaction.
- Initiated and processed requisitions, purchased requests, reports of survey, cash collection vouchers, statement of
charges, inventory adjustment reports, equipment status reports, acquisition reports, material readiness, and other
reports required by higher headquarters.
- Created a Microsoft Access database to track all furniture that has been received and processed for distribution within
the warehouse.
- Conduct meetings with customers in order to plan, conduct, and implement business processes for projects related to all
facets that support operations.
- Prepared Requests for Proposal and Request for Bids for furniture contracts and collateral equipment.
Store Manager Okinawa, Japan (2011 – 2014)
- Researched, analyzed, interpreted, and applied Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) rules, regulations, and
procedures in managing General Services Administration (GSA)-affiliated retail store, holding position typically
assigned to manager one rank higher.
- Evaluated storage and distribution systems for potential introduction of automated controls and systems of data flow
and reports, and/or other combinations of work involving program management or review, analysis, and
