quality, delivery & increased volumes; approving vendors, and determining timing of sourcing of products to
provide for a stable & consistent supply
• Designing, developing & implementing packages for establishing long-term partnerships with suppliers;
negotiating contracts with vendors and ensuring strict adherence to budgetary controls
• Setting strategies related to vendor assessments and purchasing terms & conditions to ensure delivery of
on time at the best quality & value; assessing the performance of vendors based on various criterions such as
percentage for rejections and quality improvement rate; driving process audits at vendor’s end
• Providing in-depth analysis, spend analysis, supplier assessments, financial perspective and market analysis
to be used to improve the supply chain and help leverage the supplier base & reduce costs
• Regularly monitoring metrics such as status of supplier negotiations, sourcing cycle timeline, timeliness of
performance, savings realized and so on
