2. A gadget is a device or an appliance that has a useful specific practical purpose and function but is often thought of as a novelty. Gadgets are sometimes also referred to as gizmos. 3. There are 3 types of gadgets : Mechanical such as clocks and bikes. Electronic such as television and mobile phones. Programmable which most modern gadgets now come under such as iphones and a notebook computer.

Satellite Navigation Systems Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is the standard generic term for satellite navigation systems A GNSS allows small electronic receivers to determine their location to within a few metres using time signals transmitted along a line of sight by radio from satellites . The first satellite navigation system was Transit , a system deployed by the US military in the 1960s. or SAT NAV

5. The intended audience for this product are car drivers who drive a lot and need to get to “new” places. The main people that have these are taxi drivers and lorry drivers. You can expect to buy a sat nav at around £150. You can also buy cars with sat nav’s already in the car. The benefits of Sat Nav’s are that they stop you getting lost and they can also tell you if any traffic is coming up ahead so you can turn around. 78% of people felt more in control 68% less distracted 67% less stressed 45% more alert when using a navigation system. 62% of the drivers felt a navigation system made it easier to keep focused on the road. And according to the research, on average, when using a navigation system, you make 25% less stops and spend 35% less time standing still.

Personal Digital Assistant or PDA PDA’s are handheld computers, but have become much more versatile over the years and are also known as pocket computers or palmtop computers and have many uses: calculation, Clock Calendar Internet sending and receiving E-mails video recording typewriting and word processing address book making and writing on spreadsheets scanning bar codes, use as a radio or stereo playing computer games recording survey responses and Global Positioning System (GPS). Newer PDAs also have both colour screens and audio capabilities, enabling them to be used as mobile phones (smartphones), web browsers, or portable media players. Many PDAs can access the Internet, intranets or extranets via Wi-Fi. Many PDA's employ touch screen technology.

7. iPods iPod is a brand of portable media player designed and marketed by Apple and launched in October 2001. The line-up currently consists of: the original style hard drive-based flagship iPod classic the premium iPhone-like iPod touch the mid-level video-capable iPod nano the low-end screenless iPod shuffle. Former products include: the compact iPod mini (replaced by the iPod nano) the high-end spin-off iPod photo (re-integrated into the main iPod classic line). Like many digital music players, iPods can also serve as external data storage devices .
