This document outlines a student project to plan and design a stormwater drainage system in Mbogwe, Geita, Tanzania. The project aims to address flooding issues during rainy seasons by designing an open channel drainage system over 1.2 km from the accumulation point to a discharge area. Methodology includes determining peak discharge using the Rational Method, topographical surveying, hydraulic design of the open channel using Manning's equation, and assessing water quality for potential rice cultivation. The student provides background on the area and problem statement, objectives, scope of work, significance, literature review, methodology, schedule, budget, and references.
