This document presents a rapid and simple spectrophotometric method for determining trace amounts of chromium (VI) in wastewater and soil samples using 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (HMBATSC). The method demonstrates high sensitivity with a detection limit of 0.014 µg/ml and a correlation coefficient of 0.9999, making it suitable for industrial applications. Results show effective recovery rates from various samples, confirming the method's reliability compared to traditional techniques.
