 Quality monitoring & Approval for all stages of construction and pre-commissioning up to final acceptance, to
ensure compliance with applicable standards and project specifications
 Performing daily basis follow-up on all outstanding issue of project progress, safety, materials, submittals,
queries, quality, and punch list items
 Conduct mechanical QA/QC inspection activities on pipes and equipment during, material verification at
vendor, fabrication shops and at construction site. This includes piping, welding NDT, Hydro tests, Hot-taps,
and Tie-ins
 Conducting interviews for Contractors’ QA/QC mechanical inspectors
 Reviewing technical quality procedures for all the required project activities
 Conduct punch listing on the finished lines/segments and all related documents
 Conducting and generating project exception items list
 Review project specifications for welding processes, base metals, filler metals, heat treatment, and NDE

 Select appropriate WPS, and if required, qualify a new WPS/PQR

 Monitoring Welder performance and conducting visual inspections of welds and repairs of welds in
accordance with company procedures and international codes of practice.
 Check, inspect and test incoming welding materials.
 Interviewing and selecting welders and verifying qualifications of welders for project requirements.
 Coordinating with clients to undertake procedure qualification test and inspections of prepared test
specimens and witness destructive tests.
 Identifying and preparing welding procedure specification (WPS) & PQR for jobs as per project
specifications.
 Providing verification of electrodes baking and holding temperature including control and issue.
Undertaking workshop verification of welding machine and electrode baking and storage, to ensure
equipment meets job requirement specifications. Providing technical guidance for welding sequence and
distortion control.
 Conducting fit up and dimension inspections as per inspection and test plan (I&TP) and review
radiography test films.

Genrec/Afrox pipeline – 86 kilometres long. This pipeline consisted of two 256mm OD piping that were fabricated
to ASME standards and carried Oxygen and Nitrogen respectively. I was completely involved on this project from
material procurement, trench specifications and inspections, welding, NDT, internal and external protection and
ground temperature recording, barometric pressure recording and final inspections with the client.
I was also a member of the “Inspection and Pressure Testing Specialist” group on this pipeline project.

This pipeline consisted of two 256mm OD piping that were fabricated to ASME standards and carried Oxygen and Nitrogen respectively. I was completely involved on this project from material procurement, trench specifications and inspections, welding, NDT, internal and external protection and ground temperature recording, barometric pressure recording and final inspections with the client.
