In the Survival 101 assignment,all of the groupswere askedtochoose fourpeople toaccommodate a
bunkeras the humanpopulationwaskilledbythe AvianFlu.Ourgroup,“Crossingthe Border”chose to
keepthe doctor,whowill be a male,a universityprofessor,whowasafemale andtaughtphysicsalong
withengineering,ascientist,whowasalsoawomanand specializedinbiological andagricultural
science,andan armyofficer,whowasa male.
We chose the doctor to maintainthe healthof ourgroupof survivors.He will alsobe able to
teachthe offspringhowtoconductsurgeriesandhow to checkfor healthissues.
The universityprofessorwaschosenforwhenthe AvianFlusubsidedandthe survivorsare able
to leave the bunker,she willbe able todesignplansforbuildingsandphysicrelatedissues.Alsoshe will
be able to give some educationtothe offspringthatare born.
The scientistwaschosenforcontrol of the greenhouse.The scientistwillbe able togrow plants
for excessfoodandwill be able tocontinue growingfoodonce the earthissafe.She will alsobe able to
teachagricultural science tothe offspringandtothe survivors.
The army officerwaschosenbecause he will be able toperformphysical tasksforthe group,
