Michael Fauscette discusses how business is being transformed by social, mobile, and cloud technologies. Customers are increasingly congregating online and sharing their thoughts, while expecting to interact with companies through new digital channels. This is driving organizations to adopt social media strategies, leverage mobile apps, and provide content through cloud services in order to better engage customers.

Take a deep dive into the apps that enterprises are producing and using to create new lines of business and increase productivity. Moving beyond the basics to apps that truly increase ROI and create exceptional customer experiences.
• Learn how to create in house apps, the challenges around security and deployment, and the real-world use of apps.
• Understand the challenges that IT decision makers face when trying to build secure apps, including an in-depth look at real world examples of apps and how enterprises are taking advantage of these new mobile tools.
• Hear how a global cosmetics company headquartered in New York City is using iPad and enterprise apps as part of a global brand initiative.
• How this enterprise-wide program applies cutting edge technology to meet customer needs for the brand’s line of products and consultants.
Businesses and publications have been wrestling with “mobile publishing”
for a relatively short time. Apple’s iPhone was introduced in 2007, and
the iPad tablet in 2010. Other portable devices, like laptops, have been
around much longer. However, the modern smartphone/tablet phenomenon —
and the pressure created by the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend — have
created a sense of urgency that’s hard for businesses to ignore.
This presentation is designed to help developers think about the future of mobile app development and in the absence of firm standards, offers tips for choosing a pervasive software architecture for the Internet of Things, also known as M2M, the Connected World, Pervasive Applications, or Ubiquitous Computing.

Lotusphere 2012 - Harnessing the Power of Enterprise Mobility Robert Sutor
It's hard not to talk to an enterprise customer these days without getting into a discussion about Mobile. By 2012, the shipment of smartphones and tablets is expected to exceed that of traditional personal computers, including laptops. Enterprise CIOs want to use these personal mobile devices to give better access to their internal data and processes for employees, as well as enabling better purchasing and support services for their customers. Complicating this is the variety of devices used, employees who wish to use their own devices at work, application level and device management, cost controls, and security concerns. In this session, Bob Sutor will discuss his views on the foundational needs of enterprises for a mobile application platform, mobile device management, and security.
Smartphones and tablets … constant connectivity and mobility … these devices and trends have a massive impact on the lives of every business and leisure traveler.
But what has the industry learned since the idea of the always-connected traveler became the norm?
Where are the next opportunities for the travel industry in the mobile space?
And, perhaps most important of all, what are the rapidly evolving expectations of on-the-go customers as they interact more with travel brands via mobile devices?

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. "Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
