Do not take your friends for granted...they could be gone tomorrow! Here are some tips to help you keep your friendships strong and growing.

Friendship tip #1 – “I feel like you are taking me for granted” – If your friends every say this to
you then you need to listen up, understand without getting offended and give them your
undivided attention. People come into our lives and we get super busy or we just don’t want to
be bothered with anyone because we are in a funk. Understandable, but if you want to hold on
to your friends and you want lasting and meaningful friendships you have to remember to not
take them for granted. They could be gone tomorrow in many different ways. Someone you
usually see almost every day may one day be gone and you don’t see them every day anymore.
Did you get the chance to tell them how much they mean to you. Did you spend enough time
with them before they left so they know you want to be around them? Do it now, say it now, be
a good friend now because you may not see them again. If they walk out of your life not
knowing where they stand it could end the relationship and there goes your friendship you
actually cherish but you never said anything to let them know that. Don’t be too busy for your
friends. If they are too far away text them every now and then, shoot them an email, send a
card in the mail, facetime them, skype them, send a cute emoji on social media, or call them
and chat about what is going on in your life and listen to what is going on in their lives.
Friendship is important, and it can be a foundation to something more if it is meant to be. But if
it’s not, cherish that friend that you keep taking for granted but they keep popping in your
head. Say something before they give up on you.
