you might wish to talk about
• Practice using the appropriate language and expressions

the exam)
• Speaking time: 3 – 5 minutes
• There will be some time to practice in class before final exam week
• You only have to come to class for your scheduled day that week (you will
select your day the week before exam week)
Combined Conversation Situations:
On the day of the final, one of the conversation situations below will randomly be
chosen.
Note: These are example situations that you can use. However, it is also possible to
change the context of these situations on the exam day.
A. Unit 7 and Unit 9
Imagine you have a big problem! You forgot your boy/girl friend’s birthday and need to
buy a great gift to make up for it. Ask your partner for suggestions and advice on what
to buy. Ask and answer questions to compare the differences between the products
and ideas.
B. Unit 9 and 10
You have a big date, but you don’t where to take your boy/girlfriend. Ask your partner
for advice, suggestions, and directions to each possible place.
C. Units 8 and 11
Meet for coffee/drinks and talk about your last vacation and then ask and answer
about your future vacation plans.
BE CREATIVE and HAVE FUN with the SITUATIONS
