Why was the Ford company so great? Henry Ford did more than just have a factory FIRST assembly line in America Educated his immigrant workers Cut the work week down Increased wages Industry was booming at the time, helped people to go with it A car was not seen as a luxury because the middle class could afford it The company itself was so different, as well as the product
What is the Source conveying? Price- affordable to everyone Tells people that the car will give them freedom- allow people to accomplish their dreams Car represented the ideas America was built on You can make yourself through your business, and your business is made through the car
Why so Important? A car was more than just a way to get around, it was a way to start a business, that was a big part of the 20’s, business Shows people that they could have freedom with the car Shows that the 1920’s were roaring- in this aspect The industry was on the rise and the Ford Model T car only pushed it along By having the car industry prosper, others could too
