This document summarizes the current state and future plans of Foothill College's Energy Program. It discusses the introduction of an introductory clean energy course, the college's solar PV and cogeneration energy systems that meet 50% of electrical needs, and plans to obtain smart meter data. It also outlines proposals to the NSF to develop lab curriculum, accelerate the UCSC partnership, and foster industry collaborations. The core energy program will include courses in power systems, renewable energy, smart energy microgrids, and electric vehicles, supported by lab practicum experiences.
