1. Food & You
Popular saying is
You are what you eat
Is it true?
Why is it so?
Let us examine
2. Ancient Indian Vedic wisdom
defined the thing swallowed by
a living being is its food. Same
for humans. Food come from
land. Known as beeja kshetra
Plants, mountains, mud, stones,
sand, minerals are from land
Animals- herbivores- eat plants
Carnivores -eat meat
3. By nature carnivore don’t eat a
flesh eating animal. Eats only
plant eating animal. Hence all
animals depend on plants for
food. Even aquatic living beings
eat aquatic plants. Some
humans are omnivores- eat both
plants & meat. Animal & human
excreta is manure for plants
4. Vedas said living beings are
based on food, food is based on
plants, plants are based on land,
land is based on water, water is
based on fire, fire is based on
air, air is based on ether
(akasha) akasha is based on
Mahatva, mahatva is based on
maaya (Mata-Sakthi) energy
5. Vedas said the food consumed
by humans is converted to Rasa
to Rakta to Mamsa to Meda to
Madya to Asti to Sukra. Sukra of
men when enters mother womb
merges with ovum forms embryo
So called modern science accepts
though their understanding is
very shallow.
6. Why a lion don’t eat a meat
eating animal eat only a plant
eating animal? Experiments
showed they refused meat of
flesh eating animals. Because it
is not their staple food. But
humans eat flesh is it right or
not? Think of nature’s logic here
as we have buddhi to use
7. Early man was a nomadic lived
on trees eating raw flesh. For 1
meal he has to run several miles
to catch his prey he is not sure of
his next meal. Then his body was
suitable to digest raw flesh. Why
people are eating over cooked
meat with many added
ingredients now? Think
8. After 3 changes in body food is
converted to mamsa. When flesh
is taken directly additional
biochemical functions take place
in the body release toxins, excess
urea, unwanted chemicals. Use
your wisdom here
For example each human is
unique regard to blood, prakruti
9. Adopt a community feed them
with same water, rice, plants,
vegetables, fruits grown from
same field. Women when they
conceive and deliver a baby give
birth to different blood groups
why is it so? Because we don’t
know individual full body
physiology
10. Individuals reared in different
environs do different functions
need different food. A BSF jawan
need tamasik food because he
need that retaliating ability. A
ruler must take a rajasik food
because he must rule & control
people. Purohit needs satvik
food he has to share affection
11. It has been proved that you are
what you eat. Food is a double
edged weapon it builds & rears a
man excess food makes a man
sick & cripples him. Recently we
are seeing in press that due to
wrong food pets are getting
diseases like obesity & diabetes
they are becoming less active
12. Animals which eat leaves, plants
are climbing hills easily. Humans
eating those animals are
climbing hospital steps with
difficulty are taken to bed in
wheel chairs why is it so question
yourself? Even vegetarians get
diseases because of wrong food.
Hence eat right and be healthy
13. Environs are crucial on animals
and humans. Listen to mind
shattering music for 1 hr. Listen
to Indian classical music in low
volume for 1 hr record brain
waves with EEG. You can clearly
see the impact on the brain.
Human is holistic, impact of
brain is on whole body.
14. Many studies are conducted on
this at Body Mind institute of
Dalai lama in Tibet. Studies at
CFTRI, AARI, NIMHANS today
30% of world population of
above 30 yrs are suffering from
reversible mental disorders due
to wrong food and hostile
environs.
15. Try excess spicy, oily, junk food
in large quantities 3-4 times /
day 4 weeks & observe.
Similarly take sober food only 2
times / day with salads, fruits,
juices, vegetables, nuts, dry
fruits with very less salt, sugar &
Oil no maida for 4 weeks feel
the difference
16. For comfort you must fill your
stomach with 50% solids, 25%
water keep balance 25% FREE
for proper, better digestion. Who
eat sugar sweets daily die of
mental depression and
metabolic disorders. Golden rule
is eat only when you are hungry.
No snacks between meals
17. For good health eat fresh, hot,
less spicy & oily food with in 45
min of cooking. Reheating food
make it poisonous. Storing food
in fridge make it stale. Sit
comfortably in calm environs eat
slowly chew well for better
digestion. Dinning table & idiot
box is a killer combo for health
18. It is ideal to have breakfast by 8
AM, Lunch by 1 PM, small snack
by 4 PM dinner by 8 PM go to
bed by 10-30 PM get up by 5-30
AM for healthy life. Spend only
on fruits for 24 hrs / week system
to relax & clean. Daily food must
have 50% raw food like fruits,
vegetables, sprouts, nuts
19. Ancient Indian wisdom says
Eka bhokte maha yogi
Dwi bhokte maha bhogi
Tri bhokte maha rogi
Chatur bhokte sada rogi
If you want to live healthy and
long eat less be a 99%
vegetarian for 360 days / year
