The Food Security Center at the University of Hohenheim in Germany works to reduce hunger and achieve food security through innovative scientific contributions. The Center takes a multidisciplinary approach to topics like sustainable food availability, access, utilization, quality and safety through teaching, research and policy advice. It awards up to 29 annual scholarships for PhD students and postdocs. The Center also conducts interdisciplinary teaching and training, demand-driven research, and provides capacity building and knowledge transfer services to support food security.
