Tattoos Are A Symbol Of Sexual And Bodily Freedom
The practice of tattooing has been used around the globe for ages, particularly in tribal societies.
However, there has been an increase in this type of body art in Western society over the last
century, regardless of its savage like connotations. Tattoos are viewed by many women as a
symbol of control over their bodies, which challenges their historically rooted dependence on men.
In this paper, I will argue that although tattoos are a symbol of sexual and bodily freedom for
many women, men often interpret this symbolism to mean not simply that women have freedom to
make decisions about their bodies, but that women will be promiscuous in their decision making.
This interpretation affects interactions and perpetuates stereotypes about tattoos on women s
bodies. In Western society, research shows that men are sensitive to a range of physical cues in
women, such as a low waist to hip ratio, larger breasts, effective cosmetics use, revealing clothing,
and even wearing the color red signals sexual receptivity (Mehta, Psychology Today). Tattoos are
yet another physical cue. Men and women realize the symbolism of sexual and bodily freedom that
tattoos portray, but for some reason men think tattooed women will be promiscuous in their
decision making. I will begin by offering reasons for this promiscuous stereotypes development in
Western society, followed by its effects on male female interactions and finally some insight on
stereotype reinforcement. In Christine

In degenerative spondylolisthesis, radiographic findings include a spinous process below the

Annabel Beam s Life In The Movie Miracles From Heaven
Miracles still exist in today s world and Annabel Beam s story is a very touching and exceptional
example of one as portrayed in the movie, Miracles from Heaven . Annabel had an incurable
condition that was likely to lead to death but Jesus changed her life. What should have been a
deadly accident cured Annabel and when she awoke she had been to Heaven and back. Jesushad
spoken to her and told her that he was going to heal her, and that he did. Annabel experienced a
true miraclein which her incurable condition was cured. She met with Jesus in Heaven and her
whole life was changed in one accident where the result contradicted natural law, making it a
miracle. Annabels life was turned upside down at age four when her stomach and intestines began
not working correctly. Annabel s mom, Christy, told MOnique Crawford about her daughter s
condition, ...pseudo obstruction motility disorder, which is an incurable condition that had plagued
Annabel her entire life. This led to many emergency surgeries and lots of time spent at the doctors
office. Due to Annabel s condition, prior to the fall, she was unable to live a normal life as Kathy
Schiffer explains, Despite taking ten prescription medications, she still couldn t eat or drink
normally and she required a feeding tube. Annabels life was moving closer to death when at age
eight she went outside to climb a tree for fun. Suddenly the branch she was sitting on snapped and
Annabel took a harsh fall into the hollowed out core

Arguments Between Socrates And Meletus
Socrates, the magnificent philosopher of the old Athens, was known by his wisdom. He was led to
court because of some accusations that became serious charges and led Socrates to death at the age
of seventy. In this essay, the argument between Socrates and Meletus will be examined based on
the accusations of corrupting the youths, believing in other gods instead of gods of Athensand
making the weaker argument appear stronger and their refutations that show Socrates was actually
accused of being a smart speaker.
So as to protect himself against the charges of offensiveness, Socrates calls Meletus to the stand to
question him on each of the assertions. He starts by condemning Meletus for saying Socrates is
guilty of meddling, of inquiring ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He asks Meletus whether the charges from his deposition are true; that he ruins the youths by
Teaching them not to believe in the gods in whom the city believes but in other new spiritual things
(26b) to which Meletus reacts that it definitely is. Socrates starts by approaching Meletus for an
explanation of the charge. He asks whether the allegation is that he has faith in new divinities or is
it that he doesn t trust in any god at all, and hence it is his skepticism that defiles the youths (26c).
Meletus answers in the positive to the charge of skepticism it is Socrates agnosticism that ruins.
Socrates then utilizes his well known strategy and turns the men of Athens attention to
thoughtfulness regarding the irregularity in the charge that he presents new spiritual things (27b
28a). He goes ahead to demonstrate that Meletus case of confidence in new spiritual things is in
inconsistency to agnosticism which cannot hold to any spiritual view. Socrates practices various
basic analogies to strengthen this point. He says that faith in human activities involves confidence
in people, that confidence in horsemen s exercises involves confidence in horses, faith in
woodwind playing involves a confidence in woodwinds, and henceforth confidence in spirits
(which are generally the offspring of the gods) likewise involves belief in the divine beings

Essay about Plane Crash
When I stepped into the large neatly organized white polished plane, I never though something
would go wrong. I woke up and found myself on an extremely hot bright sunny desert island
filled with shiny soft bright green palm trees containing rough bright yellow hard felt juicy
apples. The simple strong plane I was in earlier shattered into little pieces of broken glass and
metal when crashing onto the wet slimy coffee colored sand and burning with red orange colored
flames. After my realization to this heart throbbing incident I began to run pressing my eight inch
footsteps into the wet squishy slimy light brown sand looking in every direction with my wide
open eyes filled with confusion in search of other survivors. After finding four... Show more content

As I slowly turned my small almond shaped eyes I saw greediness of some survivors and I knew
rules needed to be given. As the glowing bright mustard colored sun arose my bright pink
chapped lips began to move. I began setting rules such as everybody needs to help each other,
they need to be fair and not greedy with the food or resources, everybody needs to help on any
project that we do to get rescued. You cannot go past the tenth apple treeuntil we run out of food
and lastly if any of the rules are broken you will not be able to have any food for the day. As I
slowly moved my head in a clockwise direction I saw their faces filled with shock but as they
began discussing these rules to each other they agreed. Three days later, as I was walking back
to shore the ocean blue water seeped through my feet cooling them from the heated sand. As I
stood there my eyes widened, my eyebrows pushed together and I was angered and shocked.
David, one of the survivors, was running past the tenth tree. I quickly began moving, my heart
was pacing I could hardly breathe, I was running so fast that my feet began to burn. I finally
caught him stretching my arm forward and pulling his red filthy soft shirt. I quickly brought him
back to shore and called the other survivors. As his punishment David had to be starved for the
whole day, as the other survivors saw the pallor of his skin, and pain from

The Suffrage Of The Nineteenth Amendment
In the 1900 s women did not have the same rights as men. They weren t allowed to do certain
things and are not considered equal. Once women started to protest this, the whole nation got
involved and there were some disagreements. The amendment was first proposed in 1878 to
Congress but not seriously considered. In the early 1900 s a Representative proposed the Susan B.
Anthony Amendment to allow women the right to vote. After the amendment passed in the House
of Representatives, the Senate also passed the amendment. The vote then went to the states and it
was one shy state away from the two thirds requirement and it was all up to Tennessee to break the
vote. The decision was all up to Republican Harry T. Burn who was against the amendment but his
mom was the one to change his mind. With a change in Tennessee s vote the amendment officially
passed the nineteenth amendment on June 4, 1919. The whole question is who supported and who
opposed the passing of the nineteenth amendment? The people who obviously supported the
nineteenth amendment were the women across the nation. Some more than others but in some
way all women wanted to be treated equal. There were even some men who supported the
amendment like Frederick Douglass who was a former African American slave. Even though it
seems like a lot of people want this amendment to pass and agree to equal rights, there were people
who did oppose to the passing of the amendment. Being mostly men, an even bigger group

Obama wasted no time putting health care reform on the agenda, stating that they can t afford to
put health care reform on hold any longer. And at looked like an easy victory for the president, at
first. Failure, was not an option, it would be viewed not only as a failure but failure to govern,
and an inability to use the 60 vote majority that they had in the Senate as well as the significant
margin that they had in the House. If the Obama Administration failed, then there would be a
tremendous political price to pay. Emanuel knew the political price that administrations paid
when it lost the battle for health care reform. Sixteen years ago, he had worked in the Clinton
administration, the Clinton effort to do health care was a classic example of a simple minded
approach to an incredibly complex and messy political issue. Basically, Clinton delivered a one
thousand page plan onto the doorstep of Congress after a year and basically said, Pass this plan,
my wife came up with it, and it s a good plan. The chairmen, at the time, who had been there longer
than them and was going to be there longer than them, killed the bill. Around the same time the
Harry and Louise ads stated popping up and they just cost and cost the Administration in the
Clinton years. They were handed a devastating defeat and Emanuel had seen it all. Yet, Sixteen
years later, Obama is attempting healthcare reform again and as chief of staff, he would

Malvolio Twelfth Night
The role of Malvolio in Twelfth Night is, generally, being the target of Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and
Maria s pranks and foolishness. At the beginning of the play, he is very easy to find intolerable, due
to his killjoy like behaviour and vanity. However, by the end of the play, the audience mostly feel
sorry for him, because of the malicious way that Sir Toby and others treat Malvolio. Despite this,
Malvolio is one of the main sources of comedy, due to his gullibility and, as some say, his
foolishness . My argument is that Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Maria are the real fools of Twelfth
Night Sir Toby in particular. Fool a person who acts unwisely or imprudently; a silly person. My
first point is Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Maria are the real fools of Twelfth Night, since they create
the foolishness, while Malvolio is simply a victim of their foolish behaviour. This foolish behaviour
is the pranks that Sir Toby and others pull and Malvolio is a victim of it since he is the victim of
all their pranks. For example, Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Maria forged a love letter from Olivia,
addressed to M, O, A, I (Malvolio). In this letter, Olivia says Remember who commended thy
yellow stockings, and wished to see thee ever cross gartered . Malvolio falls for this and wears
cross gartered yellow stockings. Another display of their pranks is when Sir Toby, Sir Andrew,
Maria and Fabian tie Malvolio up in a dark room Come, we ll have him in a dark room and... Show

foolish throughout the whole play. Also, Malvolio takes himself seriously and isn t aware of what

If anyone visited Fremont, California, they would be stunned by the outstanding features that the
city contains. Fremont has many characteristics that make it a first rate city, although it has just
as many horrible destinations within it, too. There are three particular places in Fremont that in
my opinion, are the three most excellent features of Fremont. The first place is Mission Peak, a
local mountain, the second place is the Fremont Main Library, and the third place is the Tesla
Factory, a manufacturing plant. The first fantastic place in Fremont, as told above, is Mission
Peak. Mission Peak is a local mountain that many people use to exercise. In fact, Mission Peak is

knowledge on a particular subject, a person wouldn t be able to succeed in that topic. Since the
Fremont Main Library has so much useful and entertaining books, over 300 people go to the

The Tesla factory, one of the world s most advanced automobile factory, is a great place within
Fremont for many reasons, of which there are three that I rate the most important. First of all, the
Tesla Factory provides over 6,000 people with jobs, which allows many families to be able to

Pope Pius XII and the Jews Essay
The twentieth century was marked by genocides on an monstrous scale. One of the most terrible
was the Holocaust wrought by Nazi Germany, which killed an estimated six million European Jews
and almost as many other victims.
During this dark time, the Catholic Church was shepherded by Pope Pius XII, who proved
himself an untiring foe of the Nazis, determined to save as many Jewish lives as he could. Yet
today Pius XII gets almost no credit for his actions before or during the war.

the prospect that Pacelli might be elected his successor.

What Factors Contributed To The Civil War
INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
Strengthening U.S. Foreign Power and Influence
The Union defeat of the Confederacy resulted in a strengthened U.S. government, which led to the
defeat of the French in Mexico, the confederation of Canada in 1867, and the purchase of the
Alaskan territory.
After the fall of the Confederacy, U.S. leaders were able to deploy troops to the Texas Mexico
border to help resist the French intervention in Mexico. This pressure, combined with Mexican
resentment, led to the French Emperor Napoleon II to abandon his quest for Mexico.
Meanwhile in the North, Canadian politicians feared a resurgence of the U.S., and some U.S.

government whether it would be just a confederation of separate states or one nation with a national
government, and whether a nation that stated all men were created equal with a right to liberty
would continue to allow the practice of owning slaves.
The Civil War was the result of basic differences between the free and slave states. After Abraham
Lincoln was elected President in 1860, vowing to keep slavery out of the territories, seven states
from the South seceded from the Union and established their own nation. Lincoln and most of the
people from the North refused to recognize this new nation as being separate from the U.S.
The war was triggered at Fort Sumter near Charleston, South Carolina, when the Confederate
Army claimed this U.S. fort as their own on April 12, 1861. They forced the federal troops there
to lower the American flag and surrender. President Lincoln sent U.S. forces there to try to
suppress the Confederates. An additional four states seceded to join the Confederacy. By the end of
1861, several battles had already been fought in Virginia, Missouri, North Carolina and South
Carolina and nearly one million men confronted one another along 1200 miles from Virginia to

Violence In John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men
No scene of violence exists for its own sake, in reality and in literature. John Steinbeck exhibits this
concept in the literary work Of Mice Men. Violent scenes and events assemble this post civil war
novel to unravel a twisted and somewhat unexpected climax. The climax is not the only purpose
that the violence serves, however. These implicitly gruesome scenes fulfill foreshadowing,
emphasize existing concepts, acknowledge seemingly irrelevant events, and present themes. From
the first pages of the book, John Steinbeckdescribes Lennie as huge and tremendously strong. This
theme of being stronger than one realizes is carried on all the way through to the end of the novel.
Naturally, violence has to be implemented to support this theme.... Show more content on

Small moments such as seemingly irrelevant conversations were signified by acts of violence.
The smallest moments signified by violence is the conversation amongst George and Lennie in
chapter two in which George tells Lennie Don t you even take a look at that ____. I don t care
what she says and what she does. I seen em poison before, but I never seen no piece of jail bait
worse than her. You leave her be. Followed by Lennie crying out I don like this place, George.
This ain t no good place. I wanna get outta here. This exchange of words is the first indication of
foreshadowing to Lennie killing Curley s wife and general evidence that terrible events are to

Essay about Huntington s Disease
Huntington s Disease
Huntington s Disease is a genetic autosomal disorder which effects the brain. It affects about 1 in
20,000 individuals. The symptoms of the disease do not start to occur until after or around 40 years
of age. With the onset of the disease the patient starts to gradually deteriorate intellectually, this
deterioration also causes involuntary movements. Scientists have only recently found the section of
the gene which causes Huntington s disease, and this is allowed them to devise pre symptomatic
tests. However, a cure for the disease is yet to be found.
Symptoms
The symptoms of the Huntington s disease vary from person to person. They can be grouped in two
categories: Abnormal involuntary movements and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is said that Huntington s disease was first introduced to Australia by a Somerset woman who
arrived in Tasmania aboard the Arab ship in 1842. She had thirteen children; eight with her first
husband and five with her second. Five of the six females and four of the seven males inherited the
disease.
Causes of the Disorder
This disease is genetically inherited and is a dominant characteristic, therefore unfortunately the
offspring of a victim has 50% chance of inheriting the disease.
The DNA contains four types base: A (adenine) and T (thymine), G (guanine) and C (cytosine).
These four letters make up the genetic alphabet and they spell out the commands for every single
cell and organ of the body and also determine all the characteristics of the person.
In 1993 it was discovered that a segment of DNA on the arm of chromosome 4 is linked to the
HD gene. They found that at one end of the HD gene, the combination CAG is repeated too
many times. In people without HD this CAG is repeated 5 to 35 times. In people who are affected
by HD, CAG is repeated over and over again between 36 and 121 times.
The CAG combination codes for a protein called huntingtin. Why the increase number of CAG
causes HD is still unknown. It is thought that too much of the HD protein makes them obtain some
new, abnormal property. This is true in two

Dumbest Generation Essay
There have been many claims that Generation Y, or millennials, are the dumbest generation to
have lived. However, millennials, while they don t hold extensive knowledge, know where to get
the information needed and can access the information they need for research quicker than past
generations due to search engines. Millennials also can change their tone to match their audience
generally better than past generations as well. Does this mean they can be considered the smartest
generation? Possibly. Millennials today seem to care more about where to get the information
they need rather than retaining it. For example, they know they can access the Google search
engine. This shows that, according to Begley (Source 2), Gen Y s ignorance of facts reflect not
dumbness, but choice. This lack of knowledge does not prove that millennials are dumb, but that
they have access to a lot of information if they choose to use their sources, and since this
information is readily available, they do not have to necessarily retain facts. Also, contrary to some
beliefs, the access to search engines don t make the generation dumb, but it rather changes the way

This is because millennials are generally on social media where they are writing to their Facebook
friends, or Twitter followers, on almost a daily basis, which in turn means there s a large possibility
that they are writing more than past generations. In Source 7, Thompson states Lunsford s team
found that the students were adept at what rhetoricians call karios assessing their audience and
adapting their tone and technique to best get their point across. The modern world of online
writing, particularly in chat or on discussion threads, is conversation and public, which makes it

Bad Blood or Just New Blood
Bad Blood or Just New Blood
Bastille s Bad Blood can be addicting even though individuals respond differently to the same
type of music. We sometimes hear it at various places we go to. It surrounds us and is a
fundamental part of our lives. You cannot escape it. Music is part of our lives . Music is
transmitted in different ways like someone who is trying to get a message through, or it can just be
an expression of ones ideas and the overflow of emotions. That being implied remembering the
Beatles of the 60 s had the same effect on individuals, and why this happens is somewhat of a
mystery with all the groups out there striving for fame. Smith tells Rolling Stone. I m completely

The album seems to be a repeat of the same catchy tunes from the first album Bad Blood but with
some additional songs added to it. Best to buy the second Album unless you re a collector, and
just hope that future additional albums have newer original songs on them. If this is a sign of
what is to come with this group then their fame may be short lived once the catchy tune where
off. When you listen to the album Bad Blood the rhythm is catchy kind of humdrum and simple
in ways with all the songs though the lyrics are different. Lyrics alone cannot support success.
Bastille has its sights set on bigger things. Bad Blood is a sometimes catchy but ultimately fairly
brittle album, and Mr. Smith is a singer with character in his voice but without much power .
(Caramanica 2014) Sadly, Smith s own writing takes a downward turn. Where the mix tapes are
eclectic, intricately woven pieces, his material lacks the same creative flare. Too often Smith
relies on the same chord sequences, the same dramatic production, the same vocal melodies and
riffs. Individually the tracks are exciting and novel, but once the musical style is established Bad
Blood is far too safe. Smith s voice is missing dynamic range, resulting in an album that
collectively falls flat. It s a problem that s only exacerbated on the extended cut. Bad Blood is
desperately in need of a good trim, more variety and a tighter focus. What s so disappointing is
Bastille s potential. The album features

Different Versions Of Sleeping Beauty Stretch From The...
Various versions of Sleeping Beauty stretch from the middle of the Renaissance period to
contemporary settings. The Ninth Captain s Tale by Arabian Nights is the earliest, recorded even
before its 1550 publishing (cite). In Italy, Giambattista Basile writes Sun, Moon and Talia, which is
the first record of the Sleeping Beautytale in Europe. Charles Perraults Sleeping Beauty in the Wood
revises the tale, making it more children friendly and most similar to the Brother s Grimm version
familiar with many children. Common throughout these stories, the princess character s helpless
nature is romanticized, not to mention the popular story of a prince finding a sleeping princess and
the two living happily ever. Despite this fairy tales popularity, the several versions of Sleeping
Beauty endorse a submissive and powerless female by establishing a surreal, magical setting
around the sleeping princess character, dampening the alarming actions of the prince and systemic
lack of female agency. Magical elements present themselves throughout each of these fairy tales.
The princess character in each version is magically put to sleep or death. Perrault s version has a
fairy with a chariot of fire, pull by dragons. However, when the prince character is introduced, the
description of the surreal setting around the princess is emphasized, primarily the princess character
s place of rest. In The Ninth Captain s Tale, the mausoleum for Sittukhan is described as spectacular

Analysis Of James Madison s Federalist
In this paper I will be discussing what James Madison meant in Federalist number10. Federalist
number 10 an essay that wish written by James Madison on November 22 1787. It was a part of a
series of essays proposed my Alexander Hamilton. The Federalist Paper essays were written to
dispute the authorization of the United States Constitution.
In Federalist number 10 Madison recognized that there was many different factions. He says that
the republican government that is put together by the new Constitution will allow all factions to
express themselves and influence their workings of the government by getting all their members
elected and appointed to offices. Madison also indicates that a democratic kind of government
using the ideal of majority rule will tame the factions and cause them to work together. Madison
also claims that minority groups would be protected because the factions will have to negotiate
their differences.
According to James Madison this is his definition of faction; By a faction, I understand a number of
citizens, whether amounting to a majority or a minority of the whole, who are united and actuated
by some common impulse of passion, or of interest, adversed to the rights of other citizens, or to the
permanent and aggregate interests of the community.
In order for a faction to become bigger there must be liberty, Liberty helps factions grow. In today s
world factions are political parties or also known as special interest groups. Also in today s world

Pros And Cons Of Terrestrial Wildlife
Terrestrial wildlife is a key segment of tropical woods groups as pointers of environment
wellbeing and suppliers of critical biological system administrations (Ahumada et al., 2011).
Wildlife customarily alludes to undomesticated creature species, yet has come to incorporate all
plants, parasites, and different living beings that develop or live wild in a territory without being
presented by people. Wildlifecould be found in all biological communities. Deserts, woodlands,
rain backwoods, fields, meadows, and different zones including the most created urban territories,
all have particular types of natural life. While the term in mainstream culture as a rule alludes to
creatures that are untouched by human components, most researchers concur that much natural
life is influenced by human activities. This will cause the possibility of wildlife being extinct
before their numbers are known. People had verifiably tended to separate human advancement
from untamed life in various ways including the lawful, social, and good sense. A few creatures,
in any case, have adapted to rural conditions. This incorporates such creatures as tamed felines,
pooches, mice, and gerbils. A few religions pronounced certain creatures to be holy, and in present
day times sympathy toward the regular habitat has incited activists to challenge the abuse of
wildlife for human advantage or use. When productivity of wildlife decreases, people tend looking
for them in new area. This step would allow for

Essay on Edwin Arlington Robinsons the Mill
Lucius Beebe critically analyzes Edwin Arlington Robinson s, The Mill best. Beebe s analysis
is from an objective point of view. He points out to the reader that what seems so obvious may
not be. She notes The Mill is just a sad little tale of double suicide brought on by the
encroachment of the modern world and by personal loss. Thus meaning The Mill carries a deeper
underlying theme. Lucius Beebe expresses that a minor overflow of significant details has been
exposed over Edwin Arlington Robinson s The Mill, much of it concerned with whether the miller
s wife did indeed drown herself after the miller had hanged himself. Another, even more
provocative question has never been asked: did the Miller actually hang himself? Beebe... Show

Thus, Lucius Beebe points out that Robinson sets up the stanza as a sort of verbal chandelier, with
one clause hanging upon the meaning and mode of that before, and with the framework of past
perfect verbs giving definition and tone to the whole. Robinson achieves much the same effect in
the second stanza, which opens with the miller s wife sick with a fear that had no form, which
implies that the fear has a continuation in the past. Beebe implies that a certain poetic inertia
militates against supposing change, and much more is needed to indicate or certify such change
than exists. This hypothesis is reinforced by the rest of the stanza, a single sentence formed by a
pair of past conditional clauses. What he had meant, as direct object, parallels What else there was,
as subject, forming a nice balance of speculation within the triple layered clause. This is continued
within the second clause by what was hanging from a beam, forming a seesaw of supposition that is
given another push by the predicate Would not have heeded, another past conditional verb.
Beebe suggests that this back and forth structure intensifies the pervasive aura of speculation that
surrounds all we know of the miller s wife so far. This ongoing verbal balancing act also
underscores the connotative probability of

Detriments of Colonization
During the nineteenth century, Britain took control over Nigeria and India and tried to established
an industrialized society. After analyzing the impact of British colonization on the two different
countries of India and Nigeria, one can see how the impact of their control negatively affected the
culture and indigenous people of these countries in regards to their economy, religion, social
institutions and hierarchy, and political and government institutions.
To begin, colonization is establishing control over a country and their indigenous people. British
colonization occurred in the 19th century in India. During this time period, India was introduced

The British introduced Africans to democracy and a powerful leader instead of a traditional
council. The African people intertwined their beliefs with their religion. Their gods dominated
their political beliefs and set up a social hierarchy within their tribes but when Christianity was
introduced to their culture, the natives were forced to be ruled under their one king, which is
completely different from how the Natives ruled. Socially the Africans were subjected to British
influence as well. For example, in the Ibo culture, Polygamy was often practiced by men and
women. This happens between man and wife and is a culture in which man can have more than one
wife. This practice was quickly outlawed by the christian missionaries.
Overall, Things Fall Apart exhibits the detrimental effects on the native Nigerian people during

The fear s very existence is caused by the lack of easy to access chemistry information for the
public. Much of the knowledge the average American receives on a daily basis is through

Americans have with chemistry is in a high school lab. A survey by the Royal Chemical Society,
the oldest non profit chemistry society in the world boasting a membership of over 50,000,

Throughout the book of The Return of Martin Guerre, Davis makes several claims and
accusation against Bertrande that she clearly cannot back up with history facts. Her assumption
that Bertrande knew that Arnaud du Tilh was not her husband the entire time and that either by

In Macon County, Alabama, about 40% of African Americans had syphilis. Syphilis caused by a

to compare and contrast how blacks and whites develop the disease and the effects on each race.
Years before the study of the Negro was set to begin, a similar study for whites was conducted in

The retrospective study used case histories of those who had syphilis when they died not living

Difference Between Action Research And Action Learning
7.The difference between Action Learning and other action based techniques Action learning, in
contrast to action research, focuses on the learning and the action does not require the extension of
new knowledge in a theoretical sense. In action learning the participants select some issues, analyze
them, take some action and say on that action, while Action researchis a process by which change
and understanding can be pursued at the one time. It is usually described as cyclic, with action
and critical reflection taking place in turn. It is commonly done by a group of people, though
sometimes people use it to improve their practice. It has been used often in the field of education
for this purpose. It is not unusual for there to be someone... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The use of a team with a common project or problem leads to an action learning program which
looks remarkably like action research.
There were also some differences, on average, in field of application. Action learning was more
often used in organisational settings. Action research more common in community and
educational settings. Both action research and action learning may be compared to experiential
learning. It can be described as a process of learning from experience. The experience can be
something which is taking place, or more often is set up for the occasion by a trainer or facilitator.
Clearly, both action research and action learning are about learning from experience. The
experience is usually drawn from some task assumed by a person or team.
Action learning and research involve action and reflection on that action and have learning as one
of their goals. As experiential learning is the basis for both the learning part of both action learning
and action research.
You could also say that both action learning and action research are intended to improve practice.
Action research intends to introduce some change; action learning uses some intended change as a

The Road Of Immortality And Glory
The Road to Immortality and Glory
Gilgamesh and The Illiad are epics that tell a character s struggle to gain immortality and glory.
Gilgamesh and Achilles s motivations to gain immortality and glory are quite different. However,
their journeys in trying to achieve these things are quite the same. Through the journey of trying to
obtain immortality and glory, Gilgamesh and Achilles teach their audience the true way a person is
able to gain immortality and glory in life.
Although greatness, honor, and dignity are shared influences on the motivations of both characters,
their personal motivations for wanting to achieve such things are different. Gilgamesh s motivation
comes from the death of his companion, Enkidu. Gilgamesh states, Shall I not die too? Am I not
like Enkidu? Oh woe has entered my vitals! I have grown afraid of death, so I roam the steppe.
(59. lines 3 5) Enkidu s death instills anguish and panic in Gilgamesh regarding his own fate.
These feelings of uncertainty and anxiety send Gilgamesh on a pursuit to find immortality, so that
he can live forever. Achilles, on the other hand, is motivated by glory, respect, and honor. It is
imperative to Achilles that he be known as the greatest warrior. This title is crucial to Achilles
because of the immortal fame it would bring him. Each character s motivation for wanting to
personally gain superiority is different. For Gilgamesh, it took the death of a companion before
death and immortality became a fear for

Synaptic Long-Term Memory
To learn from stressful events, memories of these events must be consolidated into long term
memory in case a similar situation occurs in the future. In the normal process of consolidating a
memory, three different processes take place: synaptic long term potentiation or LTP, systems
consolidation, and reconsolidation (Depperman et al., 2014). LTP is a mechanism of
neuroplasticity that increases the strength of certain synaptic connections through the stimulation
of neurons involved in the connection. After an event happens, the new memoryis transmitted to the
hippocampus. Systems consolidation is the slow process by which memories are transferred from
the hippocampus to the cortex such that memories are no longer hippocampus dependent.
Reconsolidation... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
LTP is integral to the consolidation of fear memories and a fear network in people with PTSD. After
a traumatic event, the details of the event and the emotions involved are consolidated into memory.
The experience of stressful situations that occur after the traumatic event can trigger the
synchronized firing of neuronal pathways related to the current experience as well as to the initial
traumatic event. Through LTP, trauma related stimuli become associated with the stress and
emotions experienced during the trauma. Synchronized firing in response to situations strengthens
the fear network and also causes previously neutral stimuli to become incorporated into the fear
network surrounding the traumatic event (Kolassa Elbert, 2007). In this way, single elements
remembered from a traumatic event or even neutral stimuli can cause the entire fear network to
become activated, thus activating the memory of the traumatic event. Reinforcement of the fear
response by LTP is likely what leads to intrusive re experience of traumatic memories, especially in
nightmares. Whenever the stress response becomes activated, the entire experience of the trauma
becomes activated as well. Trauma nightmares usually occur during light sleep and disrupted REM
sleep (Raskind et al., 2007). One study showed that when

Nothing. Sadie and I stood there watched dirty Joe ride... I looked around and saw a crowd had

open mouths grown large and deafening wide eyes turned toward Sadie and me. They were jury

Thunderbird wine into the Holy Grail (56). When Victor realizes what is going, he comes to the
realization that how all white people see Dirty Joe is how they see all Indians, as a drunken
group of people. They see Victor and Sadie as Dirty Joe. Dirty Joe is the representation of all
Indians. To get this point across Alexie uses vivid imagery and symbols such as Thunderbird

on a reservation it something they can afford to get drunk off of. The Holy Grail is usually seen
as a cup holding happiness and substance in abundance. What those two thing correlation is that

Scenario: To open a Lemonade Stand in your local neighborhood.
Its summer time and the most important thing in hot weather is the need to quench your thirst.
What is a better drink then a refreshing Lemonade. Since long I was very much interested in
opening a lemonade stand, which I finally decided to have it implemented before the summer
season starts. After a lot of research and hard work I have come up with a business model that
would work efficiently in generating revenue and also help local community.
Brand:
The brand name that I came up with is a catchy and trendy word which I think represents the
product and justifies the product s need in hot season. The brand name would be GO COOL Real
Lemonade. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pricing Strategy:
Since the Lemonade business depends on lemon and sugar, our company will have to keep an eye
on the stock needed and the availability of the two item locally and internationally. Even though
the business will be at the peak in summer and will slow down in winter, a close monitoring on
the international prices is a must. The future plan of the company is to expand in other continents
by giving out franchise. So if it winter in US we generate business revenue from countries like
Australia and New Zealand where they would have summer. To keep standard pricing and profit
margin for the franchises, a detailed costing would be required. The things that are needed to be
considered would be Cost of Lemon, Cost of Sugar, Cost of water, Cost of container, 10%
overheads (labor, rent, utilities, etc), 5% franchising fee and 7% profit margin. In addition to this
pricing 2% price fluctuation will be added to the cost. With this calculation the company and the
franchises should make enough money to survive in the competitive market.
Global Market:
Even though the product can be packed in a container and can be sold globally, I would prefer to
have local franchises so that we can provide pure and authentic lemonade without preservatives as
we promised. Also, opening a franchise will give local people employment, which is also a way to
give back to the community.
If we stick to the plans and ethics, I think our company has a bright future

Juvenal Essay
Juvenal
Juvenal was a Roman Satirist active in the late 1st and early 2nd century AD
Biography: Born in Aquinum, Italy at around 55 60 CE and died around 127 or later. He is not
really mentioned by anyone except Martial, who calls him eloquent and describes him as living a
poor life kissing up to the rich. It is thought that his family was fairly well off, and that the first
step he made towards a career was when he became an officer in the army in the administrative
service of the emperor Domitian (81 96 CE) but was never promoted, which upset him. Upset,
he wrote a satire about how court favorites had an unfair influence in the promotion system, and
as a result of this writing he was given the boot and banished to Syene, a remote frontier town
(now Aswan in Egypt). His property was also confiscated. After Domitian kicked the bucket in
96, Juvenal made his return to Rome. However without any money he had no choice to be a
client on the charity of the rich. After a couple of years he was elderly, and living a more humble
life in Rome possessing a farm at Tibur with livestock and servants. Although generally pessimistic
his later works show a few hints humanity and kindness. No record of his death however he is
estimated to have died around 127. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also wrote at least 16 poems in Dactylic hexameter covering a large range of topics in the
Roman world. Additionally some of more well known works are vivid and frank.
Reputation: Juvenal s satires could be interpreted as a critique on paganism in Rome, ensuring his
works survival. Although forgotten after his death his work was later read and quoted by the
Christian propagandist Tertullian around 200 CE and a commentary on the satires was compiled
somewhere around 350 420 CE and has been studied since.

As the spokesman of the jazz age generation and impassioned American youth, F. Scott Fitzgerald
dealt with the effects a self absorbed lifestyle can have on a spirit and a society in his work
Babylon Revisited. Though Fitzgerald s literary works did not become success or popular till
after his death, Fitzgerald is now considered one of the greatest American writers of the 20th
century. In Babylon Revisited, Fitzgerald tells Charles J. Wales journey in the lovely city of
Paris by furnishing a detailed setting. Fitzgerald opens the story of Wales in a Ritz bar in Paris.
Fitzgerald insinuates that the bar and the people he used to socialize with had changed drastically
from the time Mr. Wales had been there last, But the stillness in the Ritz bar was strange and
portentous... It had gone back into France. (Fitzgerald, p. 365). Wales finds that all his friends have

understanding of the story. In order to provide the reader with an understanding of how Wales s
daughter came to live with her aunt and uncle, the reader needs to know that her mother is dead
and her father was not in a situation to be her father at the time of her mother s death. In order to
understand why the daughter s aunt is exceptionally cautious about allowing the child to return to
her father s care, the reader needs to know that she blames Wales for the death of her sister because
he locked her out of their house one night when she caught pneumonia. Fitzgerald effectively
supplies a descriptive story line that keeps the reader intrigued and does not require them to
constantly be guessing about what has happened to lead to the events happening in the story.

Sebastian Bach Inspiration
Johann Sebastian Bach was an inspiration and influence to those of his time and those today. He
was a German composer who played the violin, organ, harpsichord, and sang. He was, arguably,
one of the greatest composers in western musical history. Bach went through many obstacles in his
life to become successful, and that is why he is such an inspiration to me. Bach was born on
March 31, 1865 in Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany into a family of eight children. Only five of the
eight survived; therefore, Bach had three brothers and a sister. He grew up into a very religious and
musically inclined family. Johann Amrosius Bach, who was Johann Sebastian Bachs father, was the

Why People Should Participate In Track And Field
Physical activity partakes an importance in our lives, and a simple way to get active is to join a
sport. Many people do not consider themselves to be athletic, but with a sport like Track and
Field one does not have to be because it can be recreational or competitive. Therefore; people
should participate in Track and Field because it involves a variety of events for different strengths.
Track and Field contains multiple events. The sport divides into four main skills which include
sprinting, pacing , jumping, and throwing. This gives anyone the opportunity to figure out what
events fit their strengths. People who can sprint, for example, could do the 100m dash (a quarter
of the track), 200m (half a lap), or 400m run (one lap). The long jump, triple jump, pole vault or
high jump are events for people who can jump well. The long jump and triple jump involve
running a certain distance and then jumping at a certain point into a sand pit, however, the triple
jump challenges the individual with a hop , skip, and then jump into the pit . High jump requires
upper body strength to hoist oneself over the bar to achieve a certain height. Pole vault compares
to high jump, but a pole used to reach heights above 10ft. If a certain individual enjoys ... Show

or throwers together to compete. For a running event, a baton gets passed between each player after
their respective distance finishes. Field events do their individual throws or jumps and then add the

  • 2. Tattoos Are A Symbol Of Sexual And Bodily Freedom The practice of tattooing has been used around the globe for ages, particularly in tribal societies. However, there has been an increase in this type of body art in Western society over the last century, regardless of its savage like connotations. Tattoos are viewed by many women as a symbol of control over their bodies, which challenges their historically rooted dependence on men. In this paper, I will argue that although tattoos are a symbol of sexual and bodily freedom for many women, men often interpret this symbolism to mean not simply that women have freedom to make decisions about their bodies, but that women will be promiscuous in their decision making. This interpretation affects interactions and perpetuates stereotypes about tattoos on women s bodies. In Western society, research shows that men are sensitive to a range of physical cues in women, such as a low waist to hip ratio, larger breasts, effective cosmetics use, revealing clothing, and even wearing the color red signals sexual receptivity (Mehta, Psychology Today). Tattoos are yet another physical cue. Men and women realize the symbolism of sexual and bodily freedom that tattoos portray, but for some reason men think tattooed women will be promiscuous in their decision making. I will begin by offering reasons for this promiscuous stereotypes development in Western society, followed by its effects on male female interactions and finally some insight on stereotype reinforcement. • 6. Arguments Between Socrates And Meletus Socrates, the magnificent philosopher of the old Athens, was known by his wisdom. He was led to court because of some accusations that became serious charges and led Socrates to death at the age of seventy. In this essay, the argument between Socrates and Meletus will be examined based on the accusations of corrupting the youths, believing in other gods instead of gods of Athensand making the weaker argument appear stronger and their refutations that show Socrates was actually accused of being a smart speaker. So as to protect himself against the charges of offensiveness, Socrates calls Meletus to the stand to question him on each of the assertions. He starts by condemning Meletus for saying Socrates is guilty of meddling, of inquiring ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He asks Meletus whether the charges from his deposition are true; that he ruins the youths by Teaching them not to believe in the gods in whom the city believes but in other new spiritual things (26b) to which Meletus reacts that it definitely is. Socrates starts by approaching Meletus for an explanation of the charge. He asks whether the allegation is that he has faith in new divinities or is it that he doesn t trust in any god at all, and hence it is his skepticism that defiles the youths (26c). Meletus answers in the positive to the charge of skepticism it is Socrates agnosticism that ruins. Socrates then utilizes his well known strategy and turns the men of Athens attention to thoughtfulness regarding the irregularity in the charge that he presents new spiritual things (27b 28a). He goes ahead to demonstrate that Meletus case of confidence in new spiritual things is in inconsistency to agnosticism which cannot hold to any spiritual view. Socrates practices various basic analogies to strengthen this point. He says that faith in human activities involves confidence in people, that confidence in horsemen s exercises involves confidence in horses, faith in woodwind playing involves a confidence in woodwinds, and henceforth confidence in spirits (which are generally the offspring of the gods) likewise involves belief in the divine beings ... Once women started to protest this, the whole nation got involved and there were some disagreements. The amendment was first proposed in 1878 to Congress but not seriously considered. In the early 1900 s a Representative proposed the Susan B. Anthony Amendment to allow women the right to vote. After the amendment passed in the House of Representatives, the Senate also passed the amendment. The vote then went to the states and it was one shy state away from the two thirds requirement and it was all up to Tennessee to break the vote. The decision was all up to Republican Harry T. Burn who was against the amendment but his mom was the one to change his mind. With a change in Tennessee s vote the amendment officially passed the nineteenth amendment on June 4, 1919. The whole question is who supported and who opposed the passing of the nineteenth amendment? The people who obviously supported the nineteenth amendment were the women across the nation. Some more than others but in some way all women wanted to be treated equal. There were even some men who supported the amendment like Frederick Douglass who was a former African American slave. Sixteen years ago, he had worked in the Clinton administration, the Clinton effort to do health care was a classic example of a simple minded approach to an incredibly complex and messy political issue. • 13. Malvolio Twelfth Night The role of Malvolio in Twelfth Night is, generally, being the target of Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Maria s pranks and foolishness. At the beginning of the play, he is very easy to find intolerable, due to his killjoy like behaviour and vanity. However, by the end of the play, the audience mostly feel sorry for him, because of the malicious way that Sir Toby and others treat Malvolio. Despite this, Malvolio is one of the main sources of comedy, due to his gullibility and, as some say, his foolishness . My argument is that Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Maria are the real fools of Twelfth Night Sir Toby in particular. Fool a person who acts unwisely or imprudently; a silly person. My first point is Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Maria are the real fools of Twelfth Night, since they create the foolishness, while Malvolio is simply a victim of their foolish behaviour. This foolish behaviour is the pranks that Sir Toby and others pull and Malvolio is a victim of it since he is the victim of all their pranks. For example, Sir Toby, Sir Andrew and Maria forged a love letter from Olivia, addressed to M, O, A, I (Malvolio). In this letter, Olivia says Remember who commended thy yellow stockings, and wished to see thee ever cross gartered . Malvolio falls for this and wears cross gartered yellow stockings. • 19. Violence In John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men No scene of violence exists for its own sake, in reality and in literature. John Steinbeck exhibits this concept in the literary work Of Mice Men. Violent scenes and events assemble this post civil war novel to unravel a twisted and somewhat unexpected climax. The climax is not the only purpose that the violence serves, however. These implicitly gruesome scenes fulfill foreshadowing, emphasize existing concepts, acknowledge seemingly irrelevant events, and present themes. From the first pages of the book, John Steinbeckdescribes Lennie as huge and tremendously strong. This theme of being stronger than one realizes is carried on all the way through to the end of the novel. Naturally, violence has to be implemented to support this theme.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Small moments such as seemingly irrelevant conversations were signified by acts of violence. The smallest moments signified by violence is the conversation amongst George and Lennie in chapter two in which George tells Lennie Don t you even take a look at that ____. I don t care what she says and what she does. I seen em poison before, but I never seen no piece of jail bait worse than her. You leave her be. Followed by Lennie crying out I don like this place, George. This ain t no good place. I wanna get outta here. This exchange of words is the first indication of foreshadowing to Lennie killing Curley s wife and general evidence that terrible events are to come. Another moment that was acknowledged by violence is a conversation between George and Slim in which George says ...Why he d do any damn thing I tol him... This one statement out of his entire paragraph introduces Lennie s obedience as a theme within the book as well as evokes foreshadowing to George s process of killing Lennie; George uses Lennie s obedience to him to keep him from seeing the gun in his hand and giving him a saddening last moment. A subsequent example of the previous is also in chapter three following Carlson killing Candy s dog; Candy tells George, I oughtta shot that dog myself, George. She had thirteen children; eight with her first husband and five with her second. Five of the six females and four of the seven males inherited the disease. Causes of the Disorder This disease is genetically inherited and is a dominant characteristic, therefore unfortunately the offspring of a victim has 50% chance of inheriting the disease. The DNA contains four types base: A (adenine) and T (thymine), G (guanine) and C (cytosine). These four letters make up the genetic alphabet and they spell out the commands for every single cell and organ of the body and also determine all the characteristics of the person. In 1993 it was discovered that a segment of DNA on the arm of chromosome 4 is linked to the HD gene. They found that at one end of the HD gene, the combination CAG is repeated too many times. In people without HD this CAG is repeated 5 to 35 times. In people who are affected by HD, CAG is repeated over and over again between 36 and 121 times. The CAG combination codes for a protein called huntingtin. Why the increase number of CAG causes HD is still unknown. It is thought that too much of the HD protein makes them obtain some new, abnormal property. This is true in two ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. Dumbest Generation Essay There have been many claims that Generation Y, or millennials, are the dumbest generation to have lived. However, millennials, while they don t hold extensive knowledge, know where to get the information needed and can access the information they need for research quicker than past generations due to search engines. Millennials also can change their tone to match their audience generally better than past generations as well. Does this mean they can be considered the smartest generation? Possibly. Millennials today seem to care more about where to get the information they need rather than retaining it. For example, they know they can access the Google search engine. This shows that, according to Begley (Source 2), Gen Y s ignorance of facts reflect not dumbness, but choice. This lack of knowledge does not prove that millennials are dumb, but that they have access to a lot of information if they choose to use their sources, and since this information is readily available, they do not have to necessarily retain facts. • 25. Different Versions Of Sleeping Beauty Stretch From The... Various versions of Sleeping Beauty stretch from the middle of the Renaissance period to contemporary settings. The Ninth Captain s Tale by Arabian Nights is the earliest, recorded even before its 1550 publishing (cite). In Italy, Giambattista Basile writes Sun, Moon and Talia, which is the first record of the Sleeping Beautytale in Europe. Charles Perraults Sleeping Beauty in the Wood revises the tale, making it more children friendly and most similar to the Brother s Grimm version familiar with many children. Common throughout these stories, the princess character s helpless nature is romanticized, not to mention the popular story of a prince finding a sleeping princess and the two living happily ever. Despite this fairy tales popularity, the several versions of Sleeping Beauty endorse a submissive and powerless female by establishing a surreal, magical setting around the sleeping princess character, dampening the alarming actions of the prince and systemic lack of female agency. Magical elements present themselves throughout each of these fairy tales. The princess character in each version is magically put to sleep or death. Perrault s version has a fairy with a chariot of fire, pull by dragons. However, when the prince character is introduced, the description of the surreal setting around the princess is emphasized, primarily the princess character s place of rest. Madison also claims that minority groups would be protected because the factions will have to negotiate their differences. He points out to the reader that what seems so obvious may not be. She notes The Mill is just a sad little tale of double suicide brought on by the encroachment of the modern world and by personal loss. Thus meaning The Mill carries a deeper underlying theme. Lucius Beebe expresses that a minor overflow of significant details has been exposed over Edwin Arlington Robinson s The Mill, much of it concerned with whether the miller s wife did indeed drown herself after the miller had hanged himself. Thus, Lucius Beebe points out that Robinson sets up the stanza as a sort of verbal chandelier, with one clause hanging upon the meaning and mode of that before, and with the framework of past perfect verbs giving definition and tone to the whole. Robinson achieves much the same effect in the second stanza, which opens with the miller s wife sick with a fear that had no form, which implies that the fear has a continuation in the past. Beebe implies that a certain poetic inertia militates against supposing change, and much more is needed to indicate or certify such change than exists. This hypothesis is reinforced by the rest of the stanza, a single sentence formed by a pair of past conditional clauses. What he had meant, as direct object, parallels What else there was, as subject, forming a nice balance of speculation within the triple layered clause. This is continued within the second clause by what was hanging from a beam, forming a seesaw of supposition that is given another push by the predicate Would not have heeded, another past conditional verb. Beebe suggests that this back and forth structure intensifies the pervasive aura of speculation that surrounds all we know of the miller s wife so far. This ongoing verbal balancing act also underscores the connotative probability of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gilgamesh and Achilles s motivations to gain immortality and glory are quite different. However, their journeys in trying to achieve these things are quite the same. I have grown afraid of death, so I roam the steppe. (59. lines 3 5) Enkidu s death instills anguish and panic in Gilgamesh regarding his own fate. • 44. Synaptic Long-Term Memory To learn from stressful events, memories of these events must be consolidated into long term memory in case a similar situation occurs in the future. In the normal process of consolidating a memory, three different processes take place: synaptic long term potentiation or LTP, systems consolidation, and reconsolidation (Depperman et al., 2014). LTP is a mechanism of neuroplasticity that increases the strength of certain synaptic connections through the stimulation of neurons involved in the connection. After an event happens, the new memoryis transmitted to the hippocampus. Systems consolidation is the slow process by which memories are transferred from the hippocampus to the cortex such that memories are no longer hippocampus dependent. Reconsolidation... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... LTP is integral to the consolidation of fear memories and a fear network in people with PTSD. After a traumatic event, the details of the event and the emotions involved are consolidated into memory. The experience of stressful situations that occur after the traumatic event can trigger the synchronized firing of neuronal pathways related to the current experience as well as to the initial traumatic event. Through LTP, trauma related stimuli become associated with the stress and emotions experienced during the trauma. Synchronized firing in response to situations strengthens the fear network and also causes previously neutral stimuli to become incorporated into the fear network surrounding the traumatic event (Kolassa Elbert, 2007). In this way, single elements remembered from a traumatic event or even neutral stimuli can cause the entire fear network to become activated, thus activating the memory of the traumatic event. Reinforcement of the fear response by LTP is likely what leads to intrusive re experience of traumatic memories, especially in nightmares. Whenever the stress response becomes activated, the entire experience of the trauma becomes activated as well. Trauma nightmares usually occur during light sleep and disrupted REM sleep (Raskind et al., 2007). One study showed that when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Even though the business will be at the peak in summer and will slow down in winter, a close monitoring on the international prices is a must. The future plan of the company is to expand in other continents by giving out franchise. So if it winter in US we generate business revenue from countries like Australia and New Zealand where they would have summer. To keep standard pricing and profit margin for the franchises, a detailed costing would be required. The things that are needed to be considered would be Cost of Lemon, Cost of Sugar, Cost of water, Cost of container, 10% overheads (labor, rent, utilities, etc), 5% franchising fee and 7% profit margin. In addition to this pricing 2% price fluctuation will be added to the cost. With this calculation the company and the franchises should make enough money to survive in the competitive market. Global Market: Even though the product can be packed in a container and can be sold globally, I would prefer to have local franchises so that we can provide pure and authentic lemonade without preservatives as we promised. Also, opening a franchise will give local people employment, which is also a way to give back to the community. If we stick to the plans and ethics, I think our company has a bright future ...
