1. This image that Steve McCurry has taken of this girl from
Afghanistan has soft skin and really bright eyes this may
have been what made him notice her in the first place,
although it looks like he has taken it outside it was actually
taken in a tent and in the day time and only natural light
was used in this image, also he has used a soft box or more
likely a reflector because you can see the white I her eyes
this is clear evidence that he sort of staged this image to get
the desired affect that he wanted on this girls skin and to
bring out her bright eyes even without the light they re
quite bright. This image also was the front cover of the most
respected magazine in America (national geographic). I feel
like the purpose of this image is to show the viewer that
there is beauty in poverty although the beauty isn't money
or how the city looks from a distance it’s the people who are
in it that give this place its beauty

2. Steve McCurry
Steve McCurry has taken this image because of
this woman's unique eyes and how they are
brown but with what isn't even hazel but gold.
This image seems to have been lit with natural
light and no soft boxes have been used. The way
he would have taken this picture would have been
the photographer walking up to his subject and
just asking if he can take a photo, the meaning
behind this image might be that this woman has
the same eyes as us and sees things the same way
we see things this could be because women who
wear this are usually discriminated against by
people who don’t understand and by taking this
picture the people who see it will see how
beautiful her eyes are and treat her how everyone
else is treated.

3. David Lazar
This image by David Lazar is of a little brazilin girl holding
a puppy, David Lazar has captured this girl being herself
but has made her pose for the image, in David Lazars
pictures the main focus is usually the subjects eyes, but
when compared to this image the main focus is her hands
because you can see every detail on her fingers but
compared to her face or eyes it doesn’t come close to the
depth of detail you see on her hand. Also he was able to
capture the dog and what seems to be the dog giving a
cheeky smile to David Lazar while he took the image. For
me the reason behind this image is to show us the viewer
that we are missing out and that we have lost connection
with our people and that they are amazing people and
can survive and we need to reach out and reconnect.

4. David lazar
This image was taken naturally by this I mean David
Lazar was possibly walking around where he was
planning to take images and saw this monk prey in
front of this huge stone of gold, but what shocks the
audience is how it balances on the edge the way it
does. With all the gold in this image this could mean
that there is something very positive about where
this man is preying, but also it puts into comparison
how small we as people are and that there is loads of
room for improvement.

5. Nick Knight
In this image Nick Knight has taken a load of
images and out them into one whole picture
using photo shop to make it seem like it’s a
dance and starts with subject being low to the
ground and ends with the subject which almost
looks like the person is about to fall over again
which would restart the dance routine and
continuing the cycle, but if you look closer you
can see that its multiple people all doing this
strange dance for it to end in darkness, the
people in the air were possibly held in the air by
wires. This image could mean that everyone is
different but can appear the same and I feel that
If this is the reason then that is amazing and its
also amazing that one picture can have such a
huge meaning behind it.

6. Nick knight
This picture was possibly taken to show how
people feel, we start with this woman all in black
and as you look down you see red almost rushing
out of her this could be her negative emotion as it
red and red can suggest anger. This woman has
been photo shopped to make this completely
blacked out body to bright red gushing out behind
her. This image could have not been photo
shopped because this woman could be in a red
dress and standing behind a white bored and
having a bright light shot right behind her and she
has moved a bit to make the end of her dress
creep around the corner to give it this affect.
