Monday 25th
April
Nota huge amountof progress.Todaywas
spenttryingto importmyalreadywritten
chaptersthat I thoughtI wouldhave access
to howeversomethingwasstoppingme
fromaccessingWattpad (the site Ihad been
writingthe storyon previouslyinmyown
time) soI spenta large portioncopyingit
ontoa worddoc until Dave advisedme to
try propercopyingitand pastingitintoan
email thatI couldsendto myself togetit.
Once I did that, I spentthe restof mytime
editingthose chaptersandtryingtofinish
some parts I hadleftblankas I wasn’tsure
whatI wantedto put inthere yet/howto
bridge thatplotpointintothe next.
I alsochangedsome of the language,phrasing
and overall scripttofitmore withbeingan
audiobookstyle work.Suchas changing
readerto listenerinthispassage andthinking
abouthow partssoundedstiff andhow
changingthat wouldhelpwith the soundof the reading.

I spenttoday sortingout the scriptsome more and planningwhoIwouldaskto try out formy
projectas narrators andvoice line roles.Ifeel likeIcouldhave beenalotmore productive because
the script part shouldnotbe takingme this long, but itis slowingme down.

May
Today hasnot beenamazinglyproductive Ihave done some more workonthe scriptbut more so
goingback intothe PowerPoints,worddocumentsetcof the FMP to try and improve these parts
because Iam waitingforaudiofromthe people,Ihave gottenconfirmationaboutintenttowork
from.I didnot do myself anyfavoursbywaitingalittle bitlongerthannecessarytosendoutthe
scriptto people because Icouldhave done ita couple of daysearlierthanI did.

Today I have alsonothad any audioback from people, soIhave beenkindof twiddlingmythumbs.
Goingback throughPowerPointsandworddocumentshasbeendone againbutIhave not really
beenmakingenoughprogressthisweek.

Monday 9th
Overthe time off throughthe studydays lastweekandthe weekendIwentaheadandrecorded
myself doingblanketnarrationsincludingvoice linesforthe charactersreadinthe narrator style so
that I wouldhave audiotoworkon and somethingthere formyprojectif mypeople didnotgetme
whatI neededintime.Todaywasspenteditingoutthe mistakes,failedlinesandpickingthe onesI
likedthe mostandstringingthemtogether.
Tuesday 10th
Last nightI wentaheadand recordedsome more of the narrationso I couldtake the plotfurtherif I
wantedto.I spenttodayeditingthatinto the projectinpremiere proandnow have a good15
minutesof fullyeditedandreadytogo narration,justneedingdiegeticaudio andthe othervoice
linesif Iwere toget themintime.

Monday 16th
I got a lot of diegeticaudiosdone overthe time off onstudydays andweekendsandspenttoday
editingthose andputtingthemin.Ihadone issue where acouple of the audiosIwas usinghad
accidentallybeenrecordedinthe wrongformatandwere technicallyvideoswithcomplete black
footage soI had to discoverhowtoeditthe filesandremove thatsoI couldplace theminto
premiere pro.Imanagedto dothisfor twobut one wouldnotwork forsome reasongivingme an
error aboutsecurityprivilges.
Tuesday 17th
I was able toget the otherdiegeticaudiofromthe day before replacedwithacorrectlydone file and
alsogot more diegeticaudiosonowable tofill a lotmore of the 15 minute runtime makingitfeel a
lotmore active.The projectisessentiallydoneenoughthatIbelieve thiswouldbe anacceptable
productbut I intendtoget premiere proathome anddo some more work onseeingif there is
anythingelse Ican doaround diegeticaudiobecauseitstill feelsabitweak.

Monday 23rd
I beganmy evaluationtodayaswell as recordinganothernarrationforthe entire project.Imade
some goodprogresson the evaluation,fillinginall butone slide withafew paragraphsof content.I
alsomanagedto getthe entire approx. 15minutesof scriptrecordedinthe new narrationhowever
the studiospace we were usingwasnot greatwithbackgroundaudioand reverbinone of the
rooms.ThismeansI will have todo some editingtothe audioIhave gottenif I want to use it.
I have alsostartedspendingmylunchesandbreaksinclasssqueezinginasmuchworktime as I
couldbecause I am runningup to the endof my deadline butamembarkingona large attemptto
put ina differentnarratorif possibleandsortout voice lines butalsostill needto doworkon the
feedbackIhave receivedfrommytutorDave.
Tuesday 24th
Today I have spentmylessonsworkingonpartsthat
have beenidentifiedbyDave asmissingornot good
enough. Ihave gone throughmy researchareatrying
to touch itup and addmore detailsandIhave been
tryingto finishoff mybibliographyand work
schedule onmyproposal.
AgainI spentlunchesandbreaksinlessonsworking
on myPowerPoints/worddocumentsand those
thingsto try to getmy entire thingdone beforethe
deadline.

Wednesday 25th
Today I have spentmylessonsworkingon parts
that have beenidentifiedbyDave asmissingor
not goodenough.Thistodayhas beenrecreating
my pre-productionPowerPointbecause Iseemto
have saved itin the wrongplace and lostit. I got
mostof it done in myfirstlessontodayandhave
spentmylunchworkingonother gapsin my
documents/PowerPointsandfeel thatIam
nearlycompleted.Hopefullyworktonightwill get
me there but I donot thinkI have time to
complete myeditingonmyprojectforthe voice
linesfornewnarrator,I have successfully
removedbackgroundaudiofrom the recordings
but the parts withreverbwhere we hadtoleave
the properstudio, Ihave not managedto clear
up yet.The good newsisthatI keptmy alreadyedited versionwithmyselfasthe narrator and sole
voice as a protectedfile thatIcan justuse as myfinishedproductstill.Itwill make itfarless
enjoyable because havingmultiplevoiceswouldprobablyhave made itmore engaging, butIdon’t
thinkI will have enoughtime tonight.
