Match on action is an editing technique for continuity
editing in which one shot goes to another shot of the
action of the first shot held. This creates continuity, it also
distracts the views attention and causes effect.

The 180 degree rule means there is a scene that usually has two characters.
There would be an ‘imaginary line’ between them and all the shots in that scene
would be filmed within the line of 180 degrees.
