classroom.

Topic- Our World (Chapter 4 Integrated
Curriculum)
“The whole curriculum also connects the student to the
community.Within the community the whole can grow in a
caring environment”.

Bread Around the World
Recipe:
Ingredients
2 ¼ tsp Dry Active Baker’s
Yeast
¼ cup Water
¾ cup Milk
¼ cup sugar
1 large Egg
¼ cup Butter
3 ½ cups Flour
1. Heat oven to 375*F
2. In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water
3. Sift and measure flour
4. Add milk, sugar, egg, and butter and HALF of flour to
yeast.
5. Mix with wooden spoon until smooth
6. Add enough remaining flour to handle easily
7. Turn onto lightly floured board; knead until smooth (5min)
8. Place dough in bowl and cover while dough rises in a
warm place
9. Divide dough into 3 pieces and braid the strands
10. Place on parchment paper lined baking sheet
11. Bake at 350*F for 25 to 30 minutes
