up angle to express to way she is feeling
about seeing the helicopters fly over her
house. The use of cinematography used her
is a low angle shot, when she is looking up
at the helicopters. By using these types of
camera angles we can get a better view of
the helicopters as they vastly approach the
White House where the president can be
put to safety. They use these types of
camera angles because it shows the
emotion a lot better while using a close up
shot to express her excitement of seeing the
helicopters fly over her house.
Throughout the helicopter journey to the
White House the camera angles they
mainly use is either tracking shot or a pan
shot because it gives us a better view of the
helicopters as they fly over to the White
House, while looking at various different
objects in Washington DC such as the
Abraham Lincoln statue. They use these
various tracking shots because most of the
opening credits are in the helicopters so;
they want the audience to get a good view
of the helicopters due to the great tracking
shot.

showing a reflection of what he is looking
at which happens to be the Abraham

my opinion I think the director has done
this because as he looks out of his
helicopter it could express how powerful he
is and what he is charge of around his
country. While they fly past the Abraham
Lincoln statue it uses a pan shot to show
how fastly the helicopters are moving
through the sky and how low they are flying
to see many things around Washington
DC.

helicopters look real as they fly really low,

The story line of this film, White house
down. Is based on a group of terrorist’s that

three but they do not only want to destroy
the world they want millions of dollars
before they let the president escape alive
and un-harmed.
To me this is a good story line that the
director has chosen because it gives the

Editing
Techniques
Throughout this film thy have used a good
amount of Editing Techniques to make a
certain scene look better. For example they
have used CGI to make the helicopters look
real when they are flying at such a low
altitude by doing this the director is making
the president seem very powerful in this
world so he can do whatever he wants.
Another editing technique that they have
used is the early morning setting to show a
race against the sunrise so the president
can get to safety before everyone wakes up
and see’s the president’s transportation
across the city.
Title Credit
Design
The directors use of credits in this film,
come in to the scene in an easy fade in and
out motion as they do this transition to the
screen it is not interfering with any of the
helicopters so we can get a good view of the
helicopters. The credits are also all put in
block capitals and it is put in a very formal
way to show the president is very formal
and powerful due to his escorted rides
across the city in the helicopters showing
he is very good at what he does because he
is well protected by his people due to his
great presidential service in America.
