2. The film will be of the horror genre. The film will open with a long shot of
a children’s playground with the focus being on the children’s swings as
it will be swinging without anyone playing with it then the institutional
logos and name will appear on screen.
The film will start of with Jonathan Willard the protagonist going to meet
his two friends who will be Simeon Curtis and Sebastian Higgingbottom.
They will be filmed from a distance on a steadicam shot to give the
audience the sense that they are being followed. Throughout their day
they shall live their life like nothing is going on but they will be watched
under the eye of the antagonist. The antagonist will be a ex friend that is
being bitter over their friendship as he was isolated from the group and
he was mistreated by them as they bullied him in the past. The will be
flashback scene as the antagonist looks back to their past demeanours.
He is planning to kidnap them to punish them for their past behaviour
towards them. Then after school they will go to the chicken shop and
Jonathan will get a call from the antagonist telling them to watch their
backs, so they when they leave they get chased down the urban streets
and run through the quiet rural areas of the park. As they run they hear
screams from the distance. Near the ending of the film they will need to
compromise with the antagonist for him to return their friend Sebastian
Higgingbottom.
When they compromise with the antagonist he will lead them to their
friend when they get to the location he will be gone leaving them alone to
dwell on their past actions and how they treat people. The antagonist will
be missing from the scene as he wanted to teach them a lesson rather
then get an apology and he wanted to keep his identity a secret from the
audience.
3. Characters
There will be four main characters with a couple addition extras that will be
used to add more emotion and make the scenes more realistic as we will be
shooting some scenes in school.
The characters will be wearing casual clothes like jeans and hoodies as they
are going to play teenagers that are dressed up in their stereotypical
clothing in the city where they are considered to be troublesome.
The antagonist will be dressed in all black as he is meant to be seen as a
scary daunting figure that is unknown to the audience and his character is
meant to be a mystery.
4. Locations
The locations that we use will need to be accessible at all times as this will
help with the filming schedule as we can decide when we use each locations
rather then having the work around the availability of the locations. They
are all feasible as they are easy to locate around the city and where we are
based.
