Interviews and observations are commonly used techniques in documentaries to compare people and events. Interviews may be continuous or split up with other footage. Dramatized sequences are sometimes used to recreate events the filmmaker couldn't capture. Mise en scene refers to how the director constructs shots, such as setting, props, and lighting for interviews.
This is the script to our Radio Trailer, it is constructed of a voiceover, sections of interviews from our documentary and also vox pops that have been included from the documentary as well.
This is the running order which helps us as a group complete our documentary without messing it up. It is a guideline in most ways because we follow it in order instead of being all over the place and forgetting where we are.

3. When in a TV documentary they use an
interview to make a comparison between the
two; observation sequences, this is when
interviews can either be completely un-
interrupted or they can be in fractions. It could
be split and information is then put between
the interview(s) The image or reconstruction of
the conservation.
4. The sequences are dramatised to show the
people and the events that the film maker is not
able to gain access in reality e.g. reconstruction.

one is going to believe
this…nobody.”
5. It is the argument within the documentary
itself, what the documentary is talking about.
The sequences can also be used to let the
audience make their own conclusions.
6. The mise en scene for this documentary is setting
the directors and producers use. When the
documentary makers gently construct the shot,
they use props and lighting in the likes of
interviews or when it comes to talking to someone
if in an enclosed space (not outside).
