Fast Food Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Fast Food" can prove to be a challenging endeavor, primarily
due to the multifaceted nature of the subject. The complexity arises from the need to balance
various aspects, such as the social, economic, health, and environmental impacts of fast food
consumption. Crafting a comprehensive essay requires delving into the historical roots of fast
food, understanding its evolution, and exploring its pervasive influence on contemporary
societies worldwide.
Researching the nutritional implications and health consequences associated with frequent fast
food consumption adds another layer of difficulty. Analyzing studies and scientific findings to
present a well-rounded perspective on the impact of fast food on public health demands
meticulous attention to detail and a nuanced understanding of the subject matter.
Additionally, addressing the socioeconomic aspects, including the role of the fast-food industry
in job creation and economic development, further complicates the essay. Striking a balance
between discussing the positive contributions and critiquing the negative consequences of fast
food on various societal levels requires a careful approach to maintain objectivity.
Moreover, the environmental implications of the fast-food industry, such as its contribution to
pollution, waste, and resource depletion, necessitate thorough research and analysis. Effectively
communicating these complex ideas to the audience while maintaining clarity and coherence is a
challenge in itself.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of fast food demands a comprehensive
understanding of its diverse facets. It involves navigating through a plethora of information,
critically evaluating various perspectives, and presenting a well-informed argument. However, for
those seeking assistance, it's worth noting that similar essays and more can be ordered on

Executive Management, Board Of Directors
In general, the corporations work towards meeting the end goal of adding value to its
shareholders and/or stakeholders, but the way this value is added and who is given
priority while adding this value depends on the perspectives (session1 slides)
corporations choose to fulfill the objective of the given corporation. Corporation
structures involve executive management, board of directors and its internal and
external stakeholders. The executive management are at the helm of running the
company, executing strategy and managing company operations, while corporate
boards are supposed to keep an careful watch and guide executive management

What Are The Arguments Against The Road To
Confederation Dbq
The road to confederation was the making of Canada it was the joining of Canadian
colonies. The British colonies wanted to make one large British North America.
Many people were with the idea and many people were against it this essay will
discuss why people were against it. The threat of american expansion into canada
happened because the Americans were against the confederation of 1867.
Documents 1, 7 will be used as evidence to support the idea of how people were
against the confederation.
The Americans believed in the manifest density, which meant that they were destined
to expand so that all of america was under their rule. The northern and southern states

There were then Fenian Raids, when a group of Irish Americans led a series of
attacks on the colonies in protest of Britain s rule of Ireland. This scared the
maritimes into uniting with the other colonies. On the west Americans were
threatening to take British Columbia with a rallying cry of 54 40 or fight . It was
clear that the americans were ready to take over all of north america. In document one
William Seward US Secretary of State says I know that God intends that this whole
continent shall be sooner or later, within the magic circle of the United States of
America . You can see that here the main idea was to take all the of North america
under the stars and stripes. In document seven George Etienne Cartier says We have
five colonies and in order to become a great nation, they need only to be brought
together under one central Government. The matter comes down to this, whether we
form a British American confederation or we will be absorbed into the United
States of America. Shall we be content to remain separate colonies, to maintain a
mere provincial existence, whe, by combining together we could become a great
nation It has never before been the good fortune of any group of colonies to secure

Improving Gun Safety
Improving Gun Safety There has been a sizeable debate on gun control and whether
or not important political figures or public safety should address the issue. Public
safety and political figures should address this issue because the two leading causes
of death are from gun wounds and car accidents. There should be tougher gun
restrictions in the United Statesbecause guns are bought with the intent on killing
another human being, which can be justified in self defense. However, there should
be requirements that the gun owner should be licensed, trained, and have lock boxes
for their guns because children can get to them, misuse them, and actually hurt or kill
themselves and someone with them. Restricting them doesn t necessarily mean

THE LOST SHEEP, LOST COIN AND LOST SON Essay
During Jesus life he was teaching in many different ways one of them was telling
the parables. Parable is an earthly story with the heavenly meaning. That means that
Jesus was making up a story in which there would be a real people, working of
doing something that was common at that times. Sometimes he used the values
whether material or spiritual, that were valuable in old times. So he was making
everything to make the story look more realistic. But under the close of the poor man
or woman and under the animal or a subject there was always something mach more
complicated, something about his father, himself, and the people that were following
the God or not. Jesus was telling the parable pretty often, usually the audience was tax

And another is to understand a parable like an old story about the God helping the
people mentally or something like that. When you are reading the parable about
The Lost Coin for the first time, the meaning of it might look like that to you. The
woman had 10 coins and she lost one them she tried to find it really hard, she spend
a lot of time searching for it with the lamp and when she finally found the coin she
was so happy. She is so poor and god helped her to find it. God is a good person
because he helps poor people might be your conclusion. Yes the God is good. But
the main topic, main idea, of the parable is deeply inside. By the character of a
woman Jesus meant himself. By the lost coin he meant a lost person or sinner. The
friends and neighbors were probably mentioned there as an Angels. The main thing
there is the house: very dark, lit only by one circular 18 inch window. The floor
was packed dirt, covered by dry reeds and rushes. 2 that represents the Earth. From
the Bible we can see that the lamp was needed to search for a small coin in the
house, even in the daytime. That means that Jesus needed something to search, for
lost people , something bright and important like fire. And that something had to be
the Kingdom of Good. In the old days the coin that the woman lost was called
drachma, which was equal to the Roman denarius, and worth about 20 cents today.
However, it had the purchasing power of about
The Value Of A Firm s Cost Of Capital Essay
Insert Creative Title Here don t forget to change paper name Calculating a firm s
cost of capital is highly important in capital budgeting as capital costs are used to
determine investment opportunities, which in turn determines the profitability of the
firm. This is true even if a firm knows that a particular project will be financed in a
particular way. For example, with debt, the firm must use the concept of Weighted
Average Cost of Capitalto evaluate all of their capital investment projects. 1 The
target capital structure, which determines the cost of capital, must be applied to each
investment opportunity because if all the cheap (i.e. debt) capital is used for one
project, only the expensive (i.e. equity) capital will be available for future
consideration. A later project could be considered unprofitable if evaluated with the
cost of equity, but profitable if evaluated with the Weighted Average Cost of Capital
(WACC). This can become confusing for the person evaluating the projects, but there
is an easier solution. The optimal capital budget results only when each investment
opportunity is evaluated with the WACC. Each dollar in the capital budget is
considered part debt, part preferred stockand part common equity. Of course, the
equity will come from either current retained earnings or the sale of new common
stock.
To find the WACC, the cost of each of the capital components mentioned above as
debt, preferred stock and common equity are calculated

Article: McDonald s need for speed inside CEO Steve Easterbrook s bold strategy to
transform the fast food giant.
In today s world, we are being surrounded by various organizations. However, each
organization has its way of being managed. In fact, this is shown in the various roles
managers play within their organization. We can examine this through two different
managerial theories, notably the classical school of management and the behavioral
school of management. Moreover, the article given in this assignment concerns the
McDonald s business. Keeping in mind the two managerial philosophies, I will thus
examine, and explain how McDonald s uses elements of the classical and behavioral
approaches to management, as well as state my opinion on which approach I believe
the company is better off with.
MCDONALD S AND THE CLASSICAL APPROACH.
McDonald s is a fast food restaurant available in different places of the world. In
fact, the fast food chain, is well known worldwide and has had much success. Upon
looking at the first stream of the classical approach; scientific management,
developed by Frederick Taylor, we can see that McDonald s in fact does
standardize the work that they do. According to Taylor, this method allows the
company to move efficiently . In your typical McDonald s everyone occupies
different roles such as a chef, food testers, managers, cashiers, cooks, supervisors,
cleaners etc. In fact from Fayol s administrative point, McDonald s possessed great

My Sassy Girl As A Hero s Journey
The Hero s Journey is an observation of the hero archetype in literature, as well as a
story template and idea. John Campbell s The Hero with a Thousand Faces details
each step a hero may pass through during his adventure. The book contains detailed
descriptions of each of the twenty one steps. Although, these can be summarized into
five basic steps: Call to Adventure, Refusal of the Call, Crossing the Threshold
/Passage into the Realm, The Road of Trials, and Return to the World of the Common
Day. The Heros Journey archetype is represented heavily in popular culture. My Sassy

The Girl throws up and passes out on the train due to excess alcohol consumption.
This is where Gyeon woo s journey begins. His call to adventure is the choice to
either help or not help The Girl. He initially dumps her at the subway but he turns
around, picks her up, and takes her to a motel. These are the steps Refusal of the
Call and Passage into the Realm respectively. The majority of the film takes place
during The Road of Trials step. This is the step that Gyeon woo articulates his
journeys goal besides finding love. He is continually surprised at The Girl s
beauty, brazenness and lack of respect for him. Even more odd, The Girl forces
Gyeon woo on a sequence of bizarre dates despite her flippant nature. After one of
these dates again ends in Gyeon woo carrying her back to the motel, he vows to,
...heal her sorrow . He overcomes this challenge by being supplicant to The Girl s
every whim. While not immediately apparent at the onset, the girl is sad and drunk
at the beginning of the movie because her boyfriend, who is the cousin of Gyeon
woo, had died one year previously. Gyeon woo s presence, which reminds her of
him, allows her to forget her boyfriend s death. His refusal to quit after suffering
abuse at her hands emotionally overwhelms her and they separate while making

The Importance Of Student Athletes
Many critics stereotype athletes to be these young cocky jocks who only care about
how they look physically and the big game that night. But clearly in today s society
student athletes are making a strong effort to destroy that reputation. By athletes
getting involved in the school s campus life as well at the community, they are
showing that their lives aren t all about sports. NBC News writer, Lisa Heffernan,
shows just exactly how students are becoming involved in the school in her recent
article titled CollegeAthletes Find Success in College and the Workplace . She
writes Athletes were more likely than non athletes to say that they had a professor
who cared about them as a person and were more involved with campus clubs and
organizations. (Heffernan). It is very important for an athlete to become close
with a teacher or professor, because being an athlete means road games and
possibly missing class which is never easy to do. Another statistic Lisa Heffernan
points out, is that sports kept students in school and at one school for all four
years. Statistics show that Despite the time demands of playing for a team, athletes
were highly engaged in campus life. They were far less likely to transfer (39% vs.
22%)... (Heffernan). A school s mission should be to better their students and want
them to stay at school for all four years. One way this is possible is by motivating
students to participate in sports as well as clubs and organizations.

Five Pillars Of Islam Research Paper
Throughout all of history, including in the development of the Middle East, religion
has been a major factor in both the unity and conflict amongst people. When going
into depth of religions in society, the similarities between them is unmistakable.
However, the differences and even the similarities within these religions have served
to divide people in the Middle East and all around the world. Judaism, Christianity,
and Islamare three core religions of society in the Middle East and are of no
exception to the basis of interconnection and separation between members of these
religions. According to the religionof Islam, Muslims must follow five basic duties
in which they must live their lives by, known as the Five Pillars of Islam. The first
duty is to make a declaration of faith, in other words, declare themselves a faithful

This dispute between Israel and Palestinian Arabs was caused by the conflicting
claims to the land given to Israel by the UN, which the Palestinians saw as
illegitimate. Creating the political sense of the dispute was the Balfour Declaration,
in which the British promised a national home for the Jewish people, but stated that it
did not include the existing non Jewish communities, also known as the Arabs. This
caused a massive amount of tension between groups of people over land available to
them within the region. However, the conflict between the Arabs and the Jews over
land was ultimately religious because the foundation of the problem was due to the
fact that Israel was holy to both groups. Furthermore, this conflict was prompted by
both political and religious reasons, and resulted in an obstacle for peace in the
region. Thus proving that different religions agreement is vital for the contentedness
of society, but ironically, their similarities can both prevent it and assist

Essay about The Bibi-Khanym Mosque
The Bibi Khanym is a congregational mosque, masjid i jami` in Persian, built by
Emperor Timur i Leng between 1399 and 1404 in Samarkand, present day
Uzbekistan. Emperor Timur remarkably expanded his small tribe into the Timurid
Dynasty, which lasted from 1370 to 1507. Timur showed great leadership skills and
also had an interest in architecture. The results of his artistic interests are especially
apparent in Samarkand, the capital of the Timurids during Timurs reign where art,
architecture, and culture flourished. The Bibi Khanum exemplifies the vision that
Timur held for Samarkand because of the monument s dominant and massive nature.

It was under Timur that Samarkand became one of the most outstanding capitals of
the then known world. It became a thriving city in which markets could be found
containing leather, spices, silk, and precious stones. It was also a city of great
architectural monuments where accomplished artisans and architects came or were
brought from around the world to build in this capital. Timur s goal was to
dominate the world and show the dominance of the Timurid dynasty. One of the
main motives behind Timur s efforts was the desire to control the trade routes,
which linked East and West. With great interest in trade, Timur had an ambitious
strategy to reactivate the Silk Road and make it the link between Europe and China.
In 1405, at the beginning of his last and greatest campaign, Timur died. Timur is
memorialized for his ability as a nomad chief to transform his tribe into an empire
using Samarkand as the capital to display the Timurid dynastic power.
Timur was not only a great conqueror but also an memorable builder. Whenever he
conquered a city that stood in the way of his army, he would bring back the artisans
and materials to embellish his royal city of Samarkand. When Timur was not working
on military efforts he was constantly involved in the building of these works created
in Samarkand. Although Timur built many of his architectural achievements in
Samarkand, he also created monuments in other cities, such as Shahr i Sabz which is

The Effects Of The Rwandan Genocide
Genocide refers to the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those
of a particular nation or ethnic group. The Rwandan Genocide began on the 7th April
1994 and ended in July 1994. It occurred as a result of the death of the Rwandan
president, JuvГ©nal Habyarimana, a hutu, who lost his life in a plane crash. This
sparked outrage across the country, where many Tutsis were attacked by extreme
members of the Hutu national ethnic majority. As a consequence of this 800,000
people consisting of the Tutsis as well as Hutu moderates were slaughtered. It was
one of the heaviest genocides that occurred in human history. The victims of this
brutal attack were the Tutsis, while the perpetrators were the extreme hutu
nationalists who took take control of the country.
One of the many victims of this horrific genocide was Jean Louis Mazimpaka, a 17
year old who survived the Rwandan genocide. He lived with his mum, dad and 4
siblings, whom were all Tutsi Rwandans. One day they heard that the Tutsis were
being attacked, but didn t worry because they didn t know whether or not the Militia
would arrive where they live. Unfortunately, the killings reached their hometown
where, his friend, the husband of a teacher, was killed. People with machetes and
other weapons came to steal from his house, and they killed him. Still we thought we
were safe and that this was a one off, but the next day in the neighbouring town
another teacher and his family were killed and we started

Deceit In Benito Cereno By Captain Amasa Delano
In Herman Melville s mysterious novella, Benito Cereno , Captain Amasa Delano
observes, what appears to be, a distressed Spanish slave ship navigating into the
harbor of St. Maria. Disregarding the opposition from his crew, Captain Delano
leaves his ship, Bachelor s Delight, and approaches the foreign vessel, San
Dominick, via a whaleboat. In addition to offering water and provisions to the
vessel in distress, Captain Delano encounters who appears to be in command of
the vessel Don Benito Cereno, and his faithful negro servant Babo. Throughout the
novella, Captain Delano witnesses many suspicious behaviors from Benito
Cereno, Babo, and the other slaves on board. Although Captain Delano has mixed
feelings about Benito Cereno, in which he often views him as a paper captain who
has little of command but the name , Captain Delano fails to latch onto his
intuition of who is truly in command of the ship until it s almost too late. There are
many subtle clues that hint at the notion of Melville spinning a web of deceit in
Benito Cereno, but the most revealing clue that best exemplifies this is when Babo
attempts to stab his beloved master Benito Cereno. In what seems to be an
emotional ending to the novella, Benito Cereno bids his emotional adieus to
Captain Delano while holding his hand; however, after Captain Delano and his
crew are settled in their boat and the bowsman pushes the whaleboat off of the San
Dominick, Benito Cereno suddenly springs into Captain Delano s whaleboat and
is then swam after by three Spanish sailors who attempt to climb on board. Still
unsure on what to make of the situation, Captain Delano spots Babo with a dagger
in his hand, and believes that his intent is to stab him. With this in mind, Captain
Delano flings the boarded Spaniards aside and grapples the dagger that is aimed at
his heart away from Babo. Although there were many hints that Melville was
spinning a web of deceit in the novella, the quote that best captures the most crucial
clue in the text is Captain Delano witnessing Babo attempting to stab Benito Cereno:
Glancing down at his feet, Captain Delano saw the freed hand of the servant aiming
with a second dagger a small one, before concealed in his wool with this he

Following Proven Formulas
Every day consciously or subconsciously we are following proven formulas without
losing our integrity. It is important to copy those who have been successful because
of our morality by standing true to our own belief system, and choosing to follow
proven formulas every day. Every day I follow proven formulas without
compromising my integrity, my belief system, or my unique personality. For
example, when I go driving with my driving teacher I am following his instructions
based on how he learned, so I am imitating him based on his successfulness. He
obtained his driver s license, and I am trying to obtain my license. Consequently
every single day you are either consciously or subconsciously following a proven
formula. You keep your morals by
I First Heard About The Etude Op
I first heard about the Г‰tude Op. 10 No. 3 in E major composed by FrГ©dГ©ric
Chopin in a TV drama. The protagonist introduced the piece as the Song of Farewell
that describes the departure of two people. And while I was listening to the piece, it
walked me through a path of memories.
Г‰tude Op. 10 No. 3 in E major is a ternary form piano piece, with A B A structure.
The piece starts off softly with legato. A peaceful atmosphere is created by the
motive formed by narrow range notes. The arch shaped phrase introduces me into the
journey of reminisce. The bass harmony played by the left hand acts as an
accompaniment and guides me back to the past steps by steps like footprints. The
antecedent and consequent technique also appears in this piece. In the first phrase,
the melody comes in soft and quiet; in the repeat phrase, the volume gets louder and
is a variation of the first phrase. These two corresponding melodies act like the
process of recalling the past time. At first, past memories start appearing in minds;
soon, the pictures become clearer and details pop up. With the uses of dynamics,
crescendo in the beginning and follows by decrescendo, the sadness of the piece is
developed. It allows audience to fall into the memories, realising these precious
times have already become the past and they can no longer go back; the decrescendo
creates the sense of regret and sorrow.
The second part, which is the B section of the piece, composes of a totally different
melody and it is
A Closer Look On How Foreign Doctors Are Discriminated
A Closer Look on how Foreign Doctors are discriminated A lot of people are
bewildered why more foreign doctors are not invited to work in American
workplaces. There is a severe discrimination and prejudice amongst anyone who is
not an innate U.S. citizen. One of the main reasons why Americans are trying to
push foreigners away is for the safety of their nation. Some Americans think that all
foreigners are terrorists and are set out to destroy Americans but this is not true at
all. In fact, statistics show that foreigners actually bring good to the nation. Brian
Palmer, author of Slate magazine says, During the 1990s, a series of studies
showed that graduates of foreign medical colleges performed slightly worse on
exams than their U.S. trained colleagues, and program heads gave marginally better
reviews to domestic physicians. By the turn of the century, however, that gap had
disappeared. International graduates now score higher than U.S. educated doctors
on many exams (Palmer). This was shocking to know that even though foreign
doctors are doing better than domestic doctors, they are still mistreated.
Mistreatment of doctors not only spans out nationwide but hits close to home as
well. I know a person who had to endure this cruel experience. I truly care for her and
she inspires me to be a doctorlike she is. For the sake of anonymity and spilling
private personal information, I will call her Jane Doe and omit some details. A

Jones Soda Company Essay
Marketing Plan for Jones Soda Company Organizational Overview Jones Soda
Company (JSC) is an independent Canadian company for beverage manufacturing
that was started by Peter van Stolk in 1996. Its unique style was evidenced by its
use of bottles that resembled classic beer bottles and by pricing higher than for
regular soft drinks. Despite its small size, the company has enjoyed huge success in
the soda market. However, just like any other beverage manufacturer, the Jones Soda
Company has to continue reinventing the wheel and come up with new product to
meet changing customer needs. To achieve this, Jones Soda has come up with a

Concerning the negativities, consumers have become increasingly aware of the
environmental effects of plastic bottles and bottled beverages, encouraging
companies to alter their corporate practices. Jones Soda brand Beverage Company
has also seen a rise in the number of consumers who attempt to save money by
switching to bulk fresh juice. This is a blow to the company owing to its high
priced products. Another threat is the fact that the fact that the Corn syrup, which
Jones Soda has been using as a sweetener for its soft drinks, has become more
expensive due to high demand for corn. This made the company opt for sugar cane,
which is also a threat due to the recent consumer trends toward healthy living are a
cause for concern for JSC that sell sugar based products (Maxwell, 2009). Recent
research showing a correlation between unhealthy diet choices among young
consumers and serious health problems, including diabetes, has generated a consumer
backlash against many consumer product companies. In addition, the recent
announcement by Seattle Seahawksith JSC is another possible threat. Similarly,
American Airlines announcement to end its deal with Jones Soda, has renders the
company at risk of making huge losses as far as selling its products is
The Benefits Of Organic Food And Organic Foods
As consumers, we see the label organic in most supermarkets that we shop at every
day, but do we know what makes certain food items obtain the label organic? There
is much controversy on the topic organic foods and for good reason. There are many
factors to take into account when decided if organic food is superior to
conventionally grown foods. There are key components that all amount to how
nutritious your food is. It all comes down to the quality of the land that the food is
grown on, the farming technique, the elimination of toxic chemicals, and the increase
in certain beneficial vitamins. The only downside to being pro organic foodis the
slightly increased price tag. Despite the increased cost, organic foods are a healthier
choice compared to conventional chemical ridden foods.
In the United States, organic food has become so popular people don t have to
grow their own food or even find a farmers market to be able to obtain organic food.
You can typically find it in supermarkets everywhere. Organic farminghas been
around for quite some time; it first became popular during the 1940s. Throughout the
decades, people gained more knowledge on the benefits of farming and eating
organic. George Kuepper, a sustainable agriculture specialist, notes, . . . while one
can t say that the 60 s counterculture invented organic farming, it is fair to say that it
created the organic industry (9). During this time period, there was more information
available about the dangers of

Analysis Of Little Shop Of Horrors
Little Shop of Horrors
On October 27, 2017, I attended a performance of Little Shop of Horrors, which
was presented by the WSU School of Performing Arts and was performed at the
Wilner Auditorium. Little Shop of Horrors was directed by Karen L.Robin. Stage
Manager was Remy Kristine Lierz and the costumes were designed by Jamie R.
Turner. The play lasted for about two hours. And for me the two hours went by so
fast, that I didn t even realize it. They reason behind it could be because the play was
very alluring and interesting! Little Shop of Horrors is about humble flower shop
assistant Seymour played by Caleb Freeman craves for co worker Audrey (Ari
Chandler). The flower shop owned by Mr Muchnik (Jackson Dorris) wasn t doing so
well, until Seymour discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only
on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the
previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey s boyfriend, the Dentist
(Carlton Ryker), to the plant after the dentist s accidental death, he must come up
with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant.
As far as production goes, Director Karen L.Robu has accomplished an outstanding
job directing the play. The Wilner Auditorium renowned for its large theatre was
used efficiently by the stage manager (Remy Kristine Lierz). As soon as the
audience enters , we get to see the Proscenium Theatre with a black backdrop

It is extremely important to build you brand loyalty in this industry, whether it s
through rewards programs or unique dine in experiences, it can make or break
your business. Panera Bread Company will need to make sure that it implements a
strategic strategy that separates itself from its competitors and provides a supreme
food quality and dining experience. TO: Ron Saich FROM: Subject 3 5 Year Plan
Recommendation 1: Expand the Panera Brand both Nationally amp; Globally
Panera Bread Company is not reaching its full potential when it comes to their need
to expand into new unchartered markets. By expanding both nationally and
globally they will be able to more readily compete with the likes of a Starbucks
who has over 17,000 stores across the globe. Panera needs to become the place that
people want to get their coffee and baked goods from, an area that Starbucks
currently rules in the market place. Panera also does not have any global presence,
by utilizing different continents such as Europe and Asia they should be able to
bring their brand from a more local/national brand to a more global one, increasing
revenue along the way. In doing this they should begin testing new menu items that
would attract customers of different cultures. Recommendation 2: Expanding the
Current Menu Panera Bread Company should open itself up to the idea of serving
alcohol at each and every one of its stores. In order to enhance its afternoon chill time

Asscher Cut Engagement Ring
One of the most constant engagement ring trends of the moment is the Asscher cut
engagement ring. In fact, almost 1 bride in 3 in the United States is opting for a
square diamond featuring the Asscher cut. These diamonds offer a timeless vintage
feel without looking old fashioned. The square cut adds symmetry to a setting and
the diamond can be set alone or surrounded with smaller diamonds for extra sparkle
and bling.
The Asscher cut is also sometimes known as a modified cushion cut, or a square
emerald cut. The distinctive feature of this sophisticated cut is the square shape with
corners cut deeply to look like an octagon. The Asscher cut has been patented by the
Asscher family, and every genuine Asscher diamond will display the patent lasered

This means that Asscher diamonds will cost more than some other diamonds of the

but in this day and age any look and style is encouraged. Due to the cut of these
diamonds they give off a startling depth when looking into them.
History of Asscher diamonds:
The Asscher cut was originally designed in 1902, and fast became very popular in
the 1920 s, suiting the art deco engagement rings perfectly. The Asscher cut got an
overhaul in 2001, adding 16 extra facets to the original cut to increase the sparkle
factor. This new improved design has been repatented and is apparently harder to

Mesoamerican Civilizations
The prominent civilizations of classical and postclassical Mesoamerica consisted of
the Mayans, Aztecs and Incas. Civilizations developed independently in the
Americas, but there were parallels with the early civilizations of Asia and North
Africa. American civilizations had a separate chronology and unfolded in terms of
their own environment. During postclassical China, the Tang and Song dynasties

to the decline in women s status. New laws favored males in inheritance and

Hydrogen Power and Energy
Most of the energy we produce causes waste and pollution. Water allows us to cut
some of this out of the equation. In 1874, a French author named Jules Verne wrote
that hydrogen has the potential to be our next fuel source long before its potential
was even discovered. And above all else, its abundant! Not only is the earth covered
in 70% of water, but 90% of all matter contains hydrogen in it. Hydrogen itself
produces miniscule amounts of pollution when burned. The problem that stands is
that hydrogen is only found as a compound, and not by itself. Water contains a good
amount of hydrogen, but also contains oxygen. However, we can extract the hydrogen
atoms through a process called electrolysis. Electrolysis separates the hydrogen atoms
from the oxygen atom to create HHO gas.
The problem with this however is that electrolysis requires electricity to decompose
the compound. The more current that is passed through the water the more chemical
change it will undergo. Electrolysis is carried out in an electrolytic cell which don t
contain a membrane. These cells contains two electrodes which separates the oxygen
and the hydrogen.
Now when most people think of converting water into energy, they usually think of
water powered cars. Even though this is not entirely what electrolysis does, it isnt
too far off. Fuel cell technology, even though it is still being developed, works with
electrolysis to make this possible. An obstacle with making fuel cell technology
possible is
Euthyphro Analysis
The story of Euthyphro took place in ancient Greece, and was written by Plato.
Plato s stories are about the life, and death, or Socrates. This specific story focuses
on the Socratic Method, and how Socrates would go about preforming it upon
individuals. Plato only started writing the various dialogues after Socratesdeath. The
Socratic Method is based on the thought that ignorance is blind. He, Socrates, would
approach various people claiming to be experts in a specific knowledge. He would
then questionthem to discover how much they truly knew about the topic. In this
story Socrates was outside the courthouse awaiting his trial. He was on trial for the
corruption of the youth of Athens, and also impiety. While lingering outside the
courthouse he encounters a man named Euthyphro. He was... Show more content on

He even went as far to claim that he was an expert on piety. Socrates took this as an
opportunity to request for him to grant him enlightenment about piety. There were
many gods believed to exist during this time, so Euthyphro firsts tries to answer
the question with a simple deffiniton. He explains how Zeus punished his father for
the sinful deeds of killing his previous children. That it does not matter who brings
him to justice, only that it is completed. He says, Piety is doing as I am doing; that
is to say, any; prosecuting any one who is guilty of murder, sacrilege, or of similar
crime whether he be your father or mother, or whoever he may be that makes no
difference; and not to prosecute them is impiety. (5e). This would mean that piety is
simply persecuting ones father. Socrates is not satisfied with this simple definition
answer, because an example cannot be the accurate deffiniton of something. He
states, Remember that I did not ask you to give me two or three examples of piety,
but to explain the general idea which makes all things pious to be pious
Creating And Developing A Group Dance Performance With
A...
Demonstrate an understanding of the processes involved in creating and developing a
group dance performance with a particular focus on choreography
Introduction
Choreography is the act of creating movement to produce dance. It is a creative
process that requires knowledge of how the process functions (Minton, 2007). Smith
Autard (2010) believes there is a vast difference between dancing and
choreographing. Dancing can be enjoyed for pleasure and the expression of feeling
but to choreograph movement is to create a work of art (Smith Autard, 2010: 3).
According to Smith Autard, (2010) a work of art has to be created with the composer
s intention to communicate a theme or emotion. The movement content is an
abstraction from actual feelings of the choreographer, or the character of the dance
that is being portrayed, which creates a representation of the work that is significant
to the dance idea as an entity.
Composition is the bringing together of smaller sections that can be worked on to
create one overall piece. The process of refinement and reflection to develop
choreography demonstrates how composition begins as small sections of movement.
Basic compositional elements include space, time and theme (Lambert, 2015).
Improvisation is a way of exploring new methods of movement it is a method of self
expression and discovery. Improvisational dance movements came during the
1960′s and 1970′s where an artistic revolution, known as the post modern
movement, made the dancer
The Qr Transformation Protects The Upper Hessenberg
Type...
The QR transformation protects the upper Hessenberg type of the first matrix, and
the workload on such a matrix is O(n2) per cycle as restricted to O(‪n3) on a
general framework. As s tends to infinity, the original matrix merges to a structure
where the eigenvalues are either segregated on the corner to corner or are
eigenvalues of a 2 Г— 2 sub matrix on the diagonal. Thus, we can see that the QR
transformation reduces the complexity and the number of iterations. QR is one of the
mostly used algorithms for finding the eigenvalues of a matrix, where Q represents an
orthogonal matrixand R an upper triangular one, R comes from right.

Now we consider a non singular matrix with real entries, either symmetrical or not. In
essence, the QR algorithm is based on the following property:
If A is factorized in the product A=QR, where Q is non singular, then the matrix of
the product in reverse order, A =RQ, has the same eigenvalues as A has (having
similarity with A).

The QR transformation was introduced in the late 1950s by John G.F. Francis

twentieth century. John G.F. Francis (conceived 1934) is an English PC researcher.

South Korea s current account balance started to deteriorate in 1990, due to the
rising inflation, appreciation of the Korean won and the recession of the world
economy. In 1991 the current account recorded a deficit of $8.7 billion, which was
more than four times the level of the preceding year. The Korean government
encouraged capital inflows in order to finance the growing current account deficit. To
achieve this objective, capital account liberalisation was accelerated in 1991by

Many businesses failed to guarantee returns and profitability. Due to the high rates of
economic growth and the booming economy, private firms and corporations looked
to finance speculative investment projects. However, firms overstretched themselves
and a combination of factors caused depreciation in the exchange rate as they
struggled to meet the payments.
The South Korean corporate governance structure was known for its technical and
ethical inefficiency well before the crisis. The existence of a small number of large
business conglomerates, chaebols, is widely considered to be one of the biggest
problems in South Korean society. This governance system was fertile ground for
inefficiency and corruption. A study shows that only 27percent of the 570 non
financial firms created shareholder value during the five years before the crises.
The South Korean conglomerates were more or less completely controlled by the
government and simply absorbed growing capital investment. Eventually, excess debt
led to key failures and takeovers. In the midst of the Asian market downturn, South
Korea s credit rating was lowered on 28 November 1997 and downgraded again on
11 December. That contributed to an additional decline in South Korean shares since
stock markets were already bearish in November.

Amazing Grace is a film about the abolitionist William Wilberforce. William
Wilberforce was a very strong Christian and he put all of his faith and trust in Jesus
Christ. Wilberforce had very strong foundational values as can be seen throughout
the movie through his actions and choices. Wilberforce s faith changed him from
being a careless wealthy politician into a public servant that was compassionate and
caring towards everyone. He used his gifts and skills in order to help create a
better society. Wilberforce was very strong in character as he had very strong
morals and always knew the right thing to do. While most of society at that time
accepted slavery as being a necessity, Wilberforce did not conform. Most people
back then has been brainwashed into believing that slavery was okay, but that s not
how Wilberforce thought. He saw that slavery was a cruel and evil thing. He knew
that it was against God s will so he did his best in order to end slavery in England.
Wilberforce is urged by his friend Pitt to champion the cause of abolishing the... Show

As the masses of Haiti rises up, Wilberforce moves against slave trade. His motion
in Parliament is defeated. Over the next several years, success in stopping the
importation of slaves continue elude Wilberforce. However, an abolitionist and
Lawyer, James Stephen suggested a change in tactics. The Foreign Slave Trade
Act quickly passes with the effect of prohibiting two thirds of the British Slave
Trade. Next, a bill to abolish slave trade finally passes. Three days before his death,
Wilberforce s lifelong goal is finally accomplished. Wilberforce is the protagonist
who has determination in parliament. He is seen as a hero. He suffered from
Colitis. In the first scene we saw him stopping his coach in the rain in order to
relieve the suffering of a wounded horse being beaten. This film depicts sympathy
towards more than just the slave

Essay on The Success of Bon Jovi s Album Slippery When
Wet
You will be hard pressed to find someone over the age of 25 that has not heard at
least one song by the band out of New Jersey, Bon Jovi. The band got together in
1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey, made up of lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist,
Richie Sambora, keyboardist, David Bryan and Drummer, Tico Torres. Since the
formation of the band, they have been making music for 30 years. Before 1986, Bon
Jovireleased two albums: Bon Jovi(1984) and 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit(1985). They
were able to build a pretty steady fan base from these two albums, though these
albums did not have as much success in the mainstream rock market as their third
album, Slippery When Wet. Slippery When Wet, was the third album released by Bon
Jovi. The release... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It highlights the struggles that are happening for people. There are some great
guitar riffs and distortion. It has a verses/chorus composition. The song is a little bit
slower to begin, but soon picks up the tempo, it is a great song to sing along because
the lyrics are not distorted by the instruments, like you find with some other bands.
This song was written by Richie Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi, and Desmond Child. The
fourth track is Social Disease , which was written by Richie Sambora and Jon Bon
Jovi. This up tempo song has guitar riffs and the drums and keyboard arrangements
make for an awesome listening experience. Sometimes it is hard to tell if the sound
is coming from the guitar or from the keyboards, but the layering of sounds makes
this a true rock song. After the final verse/chorus, the instruments keeping playing,
the chorus is repeated, and then an outro is performed by the instruments to end the
song. The song that takes fifth place on the album is Wanted Dead Or Alive . This
song is a slower song, but has some instrumental elements. The ones that stuck out to
me the most were the guitar and keyboard. The drums were hard for me to pick out
on this track, but I know Mr. Torres was in there. After the first verse/chorus, the
tempo of the song picks up a bit and there are guitar riffs with the accompaniment of
the percussion instruments. Wanted Dead Or Alive was written by Richie
The Great Gatsby Overrated Literary Analysis
Dreams are an escape from reality to a world of imagination that is ideal to
someone. However, we get overwhelm with our fantasies, we lose touch with reality.
In the text, Is The Great Gatsby the Most Overrated Literary Novel of All Time,
Daniel Honan argues that the classic American novel, The Great Gatsby is an
overrated novel in his opinion. Honan challenges his claim on the novel by
questioning, should his book be considered an American classic? Author, F.Scott
Fitzgerald, portrays his novel The Great Gatsbywith a unique writing style, structure,
and captures life in the 1920s realistically. Fitzgerald demonstrates the theme of
illusion vs. reality by showing life in the Roaring 20 wasn t as glamorous it seemed

Myrtle Wilson comes from an area of poverty called the Valley Ashes. When
Myrtle is with Tom, she feels as if she was part of the upper class life. She feels as
if she lives in a world full of money when with Tom. In New York, Tom and Myrtle
have an apartment together, which is when the illusion of Myrtle having money
comes in. When Mrs. Mckee complements on Myrtle s dress she responses by
saying, It s just a crazy old thing , she said. I just slip it on when I don t care what I
look like, (Fitzgerald 31). Myrtle is in denial of accepting the life she has. Even
when it comes the simplest things of wearing a dress, she will do anything to feel
accepted in higher social. Like Lionel Trilling phrase states, a taste for aristocracy,
(quote from Honan), is what Myrtle wanted; a taste of what is it like to come from
old money. With Tom, she can be someone she is not. However, when she is with
her husband George, reality kicks in. Myrtle is living in two worlds with both of
these men. With Tom she is part of the higher class, and has a social status to
maintain. When she is with her husband, she is a poor middle class women with
not even a dime to her name. I married him because I thought he was a gentleman,
(Fitzgerald 34), in order words Myrtle is telling her friend Ms. Mckee that she only
married George because she thought he was rich. The day she saw him on the
subway train with a suit

Parable is an earthly story with the heavenly meaning. That means that Jesus was making up a story in which there would be a real people, working of doing something that was common at that times. Sometimes he used the values whether material or spiritual, that were valuable in old times. So he was making everything to make the story look more realistic. But under the close of the poor man or woman and under the animal or a subject there was always something mach more complicated, something about his father, himself, and the people that were following the God or not. Jesus was telling the parable pretty often, usually the audience was tax ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And another is to understand a parable like an old story about the God helping the people mentally or something like that. When you are reading the parable about The Lost Coin for the first time, the meaning of it might look like that to you. The woman had 10 coins and she lost one them she tried to find it really hard, she spend a lot of time searching for it with the lamp and when she finally found the coin she was so happy. She is so poor and god helped her to find it. God is a good person because he helps poor people might be your conclusion. Yes the God is good. But the main topic, main idea, of the parable is deeply inside. By the character of a woman Jesus meant himself. By the lost coin he meant a lost person or sinner. The friends and neighbors were probably mentioned there as an Angels. The main thing there is the house: very dark, lit only by one circular 18 inch window. The floor was packed dirt, covered by dry reeds and rushes. 2 that represents the Earth. From the Bible we can see that the lamp was needed to search for a small coin in the house, even in the daytime. That means that Jesus needed something to search, for lost people , something bright and important like fire. And that something had to be the Kingdom of Good. In the old days the coin that the woman lost was called drachma, which was equal to the Roman denarius, and worth about 20 cents today. However, it had the purchasing power of about
  • 8. The Value Of A Firm s Cost Of Capital Essay Insert Creative Title Here don t forget to change paper name Calculating a firm s cost of capital is highly important in capital budgeting as capital costs are used to determine investment opportunities, which in turn determines the profitability of the firm. This is true even if a firm knows that a particular project will be financed in a particular way. For example, with debt, the firm must use the concept of Weighted Average Cost of Capitalto evaluate all of their capital investment projects. 1 The target capital structure, which determines the cost of capital, must be applied to each investment opportunity because if all the cheap (i.e. debt) capital is used for one project, only the expensive (i.e. equity) capital will be available for future consideration. A later project could be considered unprofitable if evaluated with the cost of equity, but profitable if evaluated with the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC). This can become confusing for the person evaluating the projects, but there is an easier solution. The optimal capital budget results only when each investment opportunity is evaluated with the WACC. Each dollar in the capital budget is considered part debt, part preferred stockand part common equity. Of course, the equity will come from either current retained earnings or the sale of new common stock. To find the WACC, the cost of each of the capital components mentioned above as debt, preferred stock and common equity are calculated

But clearly in today s society student athletes are making a strong effort to destroy that reputation. By athletes getting involved in the school s campus life as well at the community, they are showing that their lives aren t all about sports. NBC News writer, Lisa Heffernan, shows just exactly how students are becoming involved in the school in her recent article titled CollegeAthletes Find Success in College and the Workplace . She writes Athletes were more likely than non athletes to say that they had a professor who cared about them as a person and were more involved with campus clubs and organizations. (Heffernan). It is very important for an athlete to become close with a teacher or professor, because being an athlete means road games and possibly missing class which is never easy to do. Another statistic Lisa Heffernan points out, is that sports kept students in school and at one school for all four years. Statistics show that Despite the time demands of playing for a team, athletes were highly engaged in campus life. They were far less likely to transfer (39% vs. 22%)... (Heffernan). A school s mission should be to better their students and want them to stay at school for all four years. One way this is possible is by motivating students to participate in sports as well as clubs and organizations. One of the biggest

This caused a massive amount of tension between groups of people over land available to them within the region. With great interest in trade, Timur had an ambitious strategy to reactivate the Silk Road and make it the link between Europe and China. • 22. Deceit In Benito Cereno By Captain Amasa Delano In Herman Melville s mysterious novella, Benito Cereno , Captain Amasa Delano observes, what appears to be, a distressed Spanish slave ship navigating into the harbor of St. Maria. Disregarding the opposition from his crew, Captain Delano leaves his ship, Bachelor s Delight, and approaches the foreign vessel, San Dominick, via a whaleboat. In addition to offering water and provisions to the vessel in distress, Captain Delano encounters who appears to be in command of the vessel Don Benito Cereno, and his faithful negro servant Babo. Throughout the novella, Captain Delano witnesses many suspicious behaviors from Benito Cereno, Babo, and the other slaves on board. Although Captain Delano has mixed feelings about Benito Cereno, in which he often views him as a paper captain who has little of command but the name , Captain Delano fails to latch onto his intuition of who is truly in command of the ship until it s almost too late. There are many subtle clues that hint at the notion of Melville spinning a web of deceit in Benito Cereno, but the most revealing clue that best exemplifies this is when Babo attempts to stab his beloved master Benito Cereno. In what seems to be an emotional ending to the novella, Benito Cereno bids his emotional adieus to Captain Delano while holding his hand; however, after Captain Delano and his crew are settled in their boat and the bowsman pushes the whaleboat off of the San Dominick, Benito Cereno suddenly springs into Captain Delano s whaleboat and is then swam after by three Spanish sailors who attempt to climb on board. Still unsure on what to make of the situation, Captain Delano spots Babo with a dagger in his hand, and believes that his intent is to stab him. With this in mind, Captain Delano flings the boarded Spaniards aside and grapples the dagger that is aimed at his heart away from Babo. Although there were many hints that Melville was spinning a web of deceit in the novella, the quote that best captures the most crucial clue in the text is Captain Delano witnessing Babo attempting to stab Benito Cereno: Glancing down at his feet, Captain Delano saw the freed hand of the servant aiming with a second dagger a small one, before concealed in his wool with this he

Г‰tude Op. 10 No. 3 in E major is a ternary form piano piece, with A B A structure. The piece starts off softly with legato. A peaceful atmosphere is created by the motive formed by narrow range notes. The arch shaped phrase introduces me into the journey of reminisce. The bass harmony played by the left hand acts as an accompaniment and guides me back to the past steps by steps like footprints. The antecedent and consequent technique also appears in this piece. In the first phrase, the melody comes in soft and quiet; in the repeat phrase, the volume gets louder and is a variation of the first phrase. These two corresponding melodies act like the process of recalling the past time. At first, past memories start appearing in minds; soon, the pictures become clearer and details pop up. With the uses of dynamics, crescendo in the beginning and follows by decrescendo, the sadness of the piece is developed. It allows audience to fall into the memories, realising these precious times have already become the past and they can no longer go back; the decrescendo creates the sense of regret and sorrow. The second part, which is the B section of the piece, composes of a totally different melody and it is

A Closer Look On How Foreign Doctors Are Discriminated A Closer Look on how Foreign Doctors are discriminated A lot of people are bewildered why more foreign doctors are not invited to work in American workplaces. There is a severe discrimination and prejudice amongst anyone who is not an innate U.S. citizen. One of the main reasons why Americans are trying to push foreigners away is for the safety of their nation. Some Americans think that all foreigners are terrorists and are set out to destroy Americans but this is not true at all. In fact, statistics show that foreigners actually bring good to the nation. Brian Palmer, author of Slate magazine says, During the 1990s, a series of studies showed that graduates of foreign medical colleges performed slightly worse on exams than their U.S. trained colleagues, and program heads gave marginally better reviews to domestic physicians. By the turn of the century, however, that gap had disappeared. International graduates now score higher than U.S. educated doctors on many exams (Palmer). This was shocking to know that even though foreign doctors are doing better than domestic doctors, they are still mistreated. Mistreatment of doctors not only spans out nationwide but hits close to home as well. I know a person who had to endure this cruel experience. I truly care for her and she inspires me to be a doctorlike she is. For the sake of anonymity and spilling private personal information, I will call her Jane Doe and omit some details. In the United States, organic food has become so popular people don t have to grow their own food or even find a farmers market to be able to obtain organic food. You can typically find it in supermarkets everywhere. Organic farminghas been around for quite some time; it first became popular during the 1940s. Throughout the decades, people gained more knowledge on the benefits of farming and eating organic. George Kuepper, a sustainable agriculture specialist, notes, . . . while one can t say that the 60 s counterculture invented organic farming, it is fair to say that it created the organic industry (9). During this time period, there was more information available about the dangers of

  • 30. Analysis Of Little Shop Of Horrors Little Shop of Horrors On October 27, 2017, I attended a performance of Little Shop of Horrors, which was presented by the WSU School of Performing Arts and was performed at the Wilner Auditorium. Little Shop of Horrors was directed by Karen L.Robin. Stage Manager was Remy Kristine Lierz and the costumes were designed by Jamie R. Turner. The play lasted for about two hours. And for me the two hours went by so fast, that I didn t even realize it. They reason behind it could be because the play was very alluring and interesting! Little Shop of Horrors is about humble flower shop assistant Seymour played by Caleb Freeman craves for co worker Audrey (Ari Chandler). The flower shop owned by Mr Muchnik (Jackson Dorris) wasn t doing so well, until Seymour discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey s boyfriend, the Dentist (Carlton Ryker), to the plant after the dentist s accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant. As far as production goes, Director Karen L.Robu has accomplished an outstanding job directing the play. The Wilner Auditorium renowned for its large theatre was used efficiently by the stage manager (Remy Kristine Lierz). As soon as the audience enters , we get to see the Proscenium Theatre with a black backdrop labelled Little Shops Of Horror . The sets

Panera needs to become the place that people want to get their coffee and baked goods from, an area that Starbucks currently rules in the market place. Panera also does not have any global presence, by utilizing different continents such as Europe and Asia they should be able to bring their brand from a more local/national brand to a more global one, increasing revenue along the way. In doing this they should begin testing new menu items that would attract customers of different cultures. • 35. Hydrogen Power and Energy Most of the energy we produce causes waste and pollution. Water allows us to cut some of this out of the equation. In 1874, a French author named Jules Verne wrote that hydrogen has the potential to be our next fuel source long before its potential was even discovered. And above all else, its abundant! Not only is the earth covered in 70% of water, but 90% of all matter contains hydrogen in it. Hydrogen itself produces miniscule amounts of pollution when burned. The problem that stands is that hydrogen is only found as a compound, and not by itself. Water contains a good amount of hydrogen, but also contains oxygen. However, we can extract the hydrogen atoms through a process called electrolysis. Electrolysis separates the hydrogen atoms from the oxygen atom to create HHO gas. The problem with this however is that electrolysis requires electricity to decompose the compound. The more current that is passed through the water the more chemical change it will undergo. Electrolysis is carried out in an electrolytic cell which don t contain a membrane. These cells contains two electrodes which separates the oxygen and the hydrogen. Now when most people think of converting water into energy, they usually think of water powered cars. Even though this is not entirely what electrolysis does, it isnt too far off. Fuel cell technology, even though it is still being developed, works with electrolysis to make this possible. An obstacle with making fuel cell technology possible is

This specific story focuses on the Socratic Method, and how Socrates would go about preforming it upon individuals. Plato only started writing the various dialogues after Socratesdeath. The Socratic Method is based on the thought that ignorance is blind. He, Socrates, would approach various people claiming to be experts in a specific knowledge. He would then questionthem to discover how much they truly knew about the topic. In this story Socrates was outside the courthouse awaiting his trial. He was on trial for the corruption of the youth of Athens, and also impiety. While lingering outside the courthouse he encounters a man named Euthyphro. He was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He even went as far to claim that he was an expert on piety. Socrates took this as an opportunity to request for him to grant him enlightenment about piety. There were many gods believed to exist during this time, so Euthyphro firsts tries to answer the question with a simple deffiniton. He explains how Zeus punished his father for the sinful deeds of killing his previous children. That it does not matter who brings him to justice, only that it is completed. He says, Piety is doing as I am doing; that is to say, any; prosecuting any one who is guilty of murder, sacrilege, or of similar crime whether he be your father or mother, or whoever he may be that makes no difference; and not to prosecute them is impiety. (5e). This would mean that piety is simply persecuting ones father. Socrates is not satisfied with this simple definition answer, because an example cannot be the accurate deffiniton of something. He states, Remember that I did not ask you to give me two or three examples of piety, but to explain the general idea which makes all things pious to be pious
  • 37. Creating And Developing A Group Dance Performance With A... Demonstrate an understanding of the processes involved in creating and developing a group dance performance with a particular focus on choreography Introduction Choreography is the act of creating movement to produce dance. It is a creative process that requires knowledge of how the process functions (Minton, 2007). Smith Autard (2010) believes there is a vast difference between dancing and choreographing. Dancing can be enjoyed for pleasure and the expression of feeling but to choreograph movement is to create a work of art (Smith Autard, 2010: 3). According to Smith Autard, (2010) a work of art has to be created with the composer s intention to communicate a theme or emotion. The movement content is an abstraction from actual feelings of the choreographer, or the character of the dance that is being portrayed, which creates a representation of the work that is significant to the dance idea as an entity. Composition is the bringing together of smaller sections that can be worked on to create one overall piece. The process of refinement and reflection to develop choreography demonstrates how composition begins as small sections of movement. Basic compositional elements include space, time and theme (Lambert, 2015). Improvisation is a way of exploring new methods of movement it is a method of self expression and discovery. Improvisational dance movements came during the 1960′s and 1970′s where an artistic revolution, known as the post modern movement, made the dancer
  • 38. The Qr Transformation Protects The Upper Hessenberg Type... The QR transformation protects the upper Hessenberg type of the first matrix, and the workload on such a matrix is O(n2) per cycle as restricted to O(‪n3) on a general framework. As s tends to infinity, the original matrix merges to a structure where the eigenvalues are either segregated on the corner to corner or are eigenvalues of a 2 Г— 2 sub matrix on the diagonal. Thus, we can see that the QR transformation reduces the complexity and the number of iterations. QR is one of the mostly used algorithms for finding the eigenvalues of a matrix, where Q represents an orthogonal matrixand R an upper triangular one, R comes from right. ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬в Now we consider a non singular matrix with real entries, either symmetrical or not. In essence, the QR algorithm is based on the following property: If A is factorized in the product A=QR, where Q is non singular, then the matrix of the product in reverse order, A =RQ, has the same eigenvalues as A has (having similarity with A). The invention of the QR algorithm The QR transformation was introduced in the late 1950s by John G.F. Francis (England) [6] and by Vera N. Kublanovskaya (USSR) [7], working separately. A study shows that only 27percent of the 570 non financial firms created shareholder value during the five years before the crises.
