Scope of this assignment: In this paper I m going to discuss MNE s (Multinational Enterprise s)
implementations of strategic alliance mostly at the international level; however, I will also provide
some specific real cases as examples of strategic alliance. What compelling reasons might influence
a firm s adoption of strategic alliances when expanding internationally? What are possible pitfalls
and how might they be avoided? Discuss with reference to appropriate With the fast politic and
economic development, and the rapid development in the high technology and information industry,
economic globalization has made the global competition more intense. Many companies expand

The Olympic Ice Hockey Team Winning A Game
The Miracle on Ice was more than just the United States Olympic Ice Hockey Team winning a
game. The win for the United States had major political impacts on the United States, the Soviet
Union and the Cold War.
The Soviet Union entered the Lake Placid games as the favorite, having won the last four ice hockey
gold medals all the way back to the 1964 games. In the four Olympics following their 1960 loss to
Team USA at Squaw Valley, Soviet teams had gone 27 1 1 and outscored the opposition 175 44. In
match ups against the United States, the total score over those games was 28 7 with Russia
outscoring the US. The Soviet players, some were active duty military, played in an elite league
in world class training facilities. Many of the Soviet players were seasoned veterans with a lot
of experience in international play. The United States head coach, Herb Brooks, conducted
tryouts in Colorado Springs in the summer of 1979. Of the 20 players who eventually made the
final Olympic roster, Buzz Schneider was the only one returning from the 1976 Olympic team.
Nine players had played under Brooks at the University of Minnesota, which included Rob
McClanahan, Mike Ramsey, and Phil Verchota. Boston College and University of Minnesota
were perennial rivals in college hockey and the hostility spilled over from some of these players
when they ended up being teammates on the US Olympic team during the first few months. The
average age of the U.S. team was 21 years old, making it the

Fahrenheit 451 Hands Quotes
Your Future Lies in Your Own Hands Aristotle once said, The hand is the tool of tools
(Aristotle), his theory is entirely valid. Hands truly are the most versatile machines, they can be
utilized for a plethora of activities. Most people in society today, however, choose not to exploit
them for the betterment of the world, those are the ones who will be forgotten. In Ray Bradbury s
dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451, the motif of hands is utilized as a way of depicting the contrast
between the longevity of the legacies of those who are idle and those who employ their hands for
moral actions. The depiction of hands belonging to those who obtain no desire to effect change is
used to convey the self inflicted harm which subsequently leads to a... Show more content on

The Montag that is introduced at the beginning of the novel seems quite similar to Mildred,
while he does manage to utilize his hands, they are only employed for cataclysmic purposes.
Bradbury describes Montag s hands as the hands of some amazing conductor playing all the
symphonies of blazing and burning to bring down the tatters and charcoal ruins of history (1).
Montag seems to exemplify destruction in this passage, his hands, however, are the enforcers,
acting as a completely separate organism. The Mechanical Hound, Mildred, and Montag s hands
have all been described in the same way; as being both alive and deceased, ironically all three
objects with that connotation have proven to be extraordinarily disastrous. As time progresses,
and Montag manages to maintain control over his own bodily functions, his actions become
more positive. This change in him is provoked by his realization of the importance that novels
hold, Bradbury explains that his hands had been infected, and soon it would be his arms. He
could feel the poison working up his wrists and into his elbows and his shoulders, and then the
jump over from shoulder blade to shoulder blade like a spark leaping a gap. His hands were
ravenous (38). This is the turning point for Montag; he has been infected with his own harsh
reality. His hands have been affected and altered from the way they had been before; independent
and dominant. Montag is gaining control over his own actions, this is a metaphor for how the
government is losing its power over him now that he understands the truth. The less of a grip the
government has on Montag, the greater chance he has to create a legacy for himself. At the end of
the novel, after the decimation of the entire city, there is no longer a government to constrict

Budweiser Puppy Love Ad Analysis
Budweiser s Commercial Puppy Love
Budweiser s commercial Puppy Love aired during the 2014 Super Bowl had such a powerful
attraction to the audience that were watching. I look at the type of advertising strategy s
Budweiser used to grab the attention of many viewers. With all the attention, this commercial was
getting that it become one of the most viewed ad during the 2014 Super Bowl. The secondary
research relates to previous other works by most of my references state that Puppy Love is the

To Ishmael Beah Themes
First hand and real life experiences are key to an interesting and eye opening novel. Ishmael
Beah is an inspiring author who wrote and continues to write about his life and the terrifying and
heart breaking accounts he has experienced as a boy soldier in the Sierra Leone war. As a child,
Ishmael was in love with the art of rap and hip hop, especially one of the most famous hits from
the United States, Rapper s Delight. To Ishmael, rap and hip hop was not just music; it was a
motivation and a hope to get through the harsh wartime and rehabilitation (Joan). Ishmael Beah is
a modern author who writes eye opening novels about his horrific experiences as a boy soldier in
the Sierra Leone waragainst the Rebel soldiers. Ishmael Beah was born on November 23, 1980 in
Sierra Leone (Beah 1). At the start of Beah s life everything seemed to be perfect, he described

Fear has a huge impact on this book because it is a common emotion people would feel during a
civil war. For instance, Often, my shadow would scare me and cause me to run for miles.
Everything felt awkwardly brutal. Even the air seemed to want to attack me and break my neck
(Beah 49). This quote shows the concern and fear a person would have during a time of war.
Ishmael constantly had to look over his shoulder and worry about his safety. However, another
tone given off was hope. This tone is seen closer to the end of the book when Ishmael starts to
overcome past war memories. For example, Nonetheless, I was happy to have made it out of
Freetown, to have escaped the possibility to become a soldier again. This gave me some comfort
(Beah 217). This quote shows the slow recovery of Ishmael from living life scared to somewhat
content. One of Beah s reasons for writing this book is to tell his life story and how he was able to

Pere s Theory Of Te Wheke
In this essay I will be talking about Dr Rangimarie Turuki Rose Pere and how her theory Te
Wheke has influenced education in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Pere is a Tohuna Tipuna which
means the sower of the sacred seeds of knowledge and keeper of secrets. She wrote her theory
based on the knowledge she gained 12,000 years ago in Hawaiiki. Pere is an International
educationalist who has a lot of knowledge about education from preschool to tertiary level study.
Rose s monograph is used by government agencies in New Zealandas a training model. Dr Pere,
wrote a book Te Wheke: A celebration of infinite wisdom and is being used overseas. Pere also
contributed to the Te Whariki: National Early Childhood Curriculum guidelines New Zealand.
Pere s theory of Te Wheke has eight dimensions; Wairua, Taha Tinana, Ha Taonga Tukuiho (breath,
treasures that have come down), Mana (Divine vested authority), Whanaungatanga, Hinengaro (

Pere talks about Whanaungatanga and how everything that is living seeks different sources off

Whanaungatanga in her book Te Wheke: A celebration on infinite wisdom , which says knowing
where they the child s come from, knowing where they fit in the family, all plays a part in a child
feeling a sense of belonging, sense of security and value of who they are. A strength of this theory
relates to Te Whariki over a wide range of the principles and strand but the few that stood out were
Family and Community principle 3, Relationships principle 4 and also the strand 2 belonging.
These all contribute into Whanaungatanga. Talking with the child s parents and family members
that come into the centre is a way to meet these goals and to make a child feel a part of the Early

Difference Between Inductive And Guided Discovery
Introduction In this provided chapter, the teaching method is more likely to be the inductive
approach to language teaching or learning and deductive approach, or guided discovery.
Deductive vs. inductive grammar teaching There are differences between inductive approach
and deductive approach. Gollin (1998) stated that the inductive approach applied students to
work out what the rules are from examples and find out what the meanings are throughout the
given examples or practices whilst the deductive approach happened when teacher gives the
explicit rules first. To be more specific, the former refers to working from the general to more
specific whereas the latter moving from specific observations to broader generalizations. The
concept of discovery techniques in Harmar (1987) is a keeping of what inductive approach
which students start with several examples and will be soon asked to generate the rules through
their experiences and examples. Upon Harmar s idea, Scrivener (2011) prompt the concept of
guided discovery which is activities that allow learners to generate their own discoveries and
explanations (Scrivener, 2005). Broadly speaking, it is a consciousness raising in order to help
learners notice how a structure works.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

grammatical structures will be taught explicitly, too much/many, not enough, for example. If the
teacher decided using inductive approach, the grammar part will be ignored, instead of by letting
students discuss, summarize or generate it and then give the appropriate

Reactivity Lab
Once the lab was completed, it was realized that there are different levels of reactivity between
all metals. It was also realized that they react to different things such as Calcium reacting to water
and the other four metals not reacting to water. To carry out the experiment, there was a set of
steps that were followed to get results. All five metals were placed in water in separate test tubes
to start with. Calcium was the only one that reacted with water while the rest of the metals didn t.
Those metals that had no reaction with water were taken aside and the water inside their test tube
was poured out. Once the water was poured out with the metal remaining in the test tube, weak acid
was poured in. The results of the four metals with acid were then observed and recorded.... Show

However, the only metal that had no reaction when placed in both water and acid was Copper.
Copper doesn t react with water because the oxygen in water is locked into a compound with one
part oxygen and two parts hydrogen. Copper also doesn t react with acids because its electrode
potential is higher than that of hydrogen, meaning that pure copper cannot displace hydrogen
from weak acids but can easily react with oxidising acids like nitric acid and sulfuric acid. The
purpose of this lab was to test the reactivity of certain metals, then create an activity series based
on observations. A potential source of error could have been when the water was being poured out
of the test tubes with metals that had no reactions, some of the metals that were in powder form
could have been accidentally poured out with the water and so when the acid was placed in there
wasn t enough of the metal to cause a

Explain The Procedures Of Three Sociological Research...
Explain the procedures of three sociological research methods and evaluate their strengths and
weaknesses.
Sociology is the study of how humans experience life. Through studying behaviour, development,
cultures and how people function as a society sociologist strive to explain social problems. This is
achieved through research methods. Research methods can take many different approaches and
rarely is one method used to gain insight and understanding, a mixture of different concepts can be
used so the findings are more rigor. This is known as triangulation (Pullinger,2014,p.89). Many
different factors can influence methods, self interest can affect whether the sociologist is prepared
to carry out time consuming methods, also time available and funds available can be a factor.
Research methods that take long to analyse, such as statistics, might be to time consuming and
large scale interviewing or surveys may not be very cost effective. Methods can also be , in some
situations, unethical therefore a different approach would be needed. The biggest influences are
methodologies and theories. If the sociologist leans towards positivism their research methods will
be hard data and high in reliability, meaning the data will be strong in consistency, precise and if
repeated the same results would thought to have been found. Data findings will be numerical, large
scaled and statistical meaning it is quantitative data. This method is scientific and favours social
surveys and use

Blockbuster Entertainment, Inc. was once a highly successful and profitable brick and mortar

Redemption And The Karmic Cycle
Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. Every living being on this planet has flaws,
has made errors and has committed sins. It is just to say that life has no favourites, and metes
out punishment to anybody who commits mistakes. People eventually pay for their acts of sin.
So, why is it that some people are able to make peace with their past mistakes and graciously
welcome the life they have in front of them? The answer to this is redemption. Redemption is the
second chance life gives us, to atone for our sins, mend our faults and change our story. It is up to
every individual how he or she wants to perceive this rare opportunity given by life. This resonates
with the philosophy of the karmic cycle.
According to renowned mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik, Hindu mythology sees destinations as
merely an individual s choice. For a person who believes there is life after death, death is merely
an artificial milestone. What is natural, however is action. Every action has a reaction,
consequences of which are both short lived and long term. Karma is both the action and the reaction,

Shirley Jackson Conformity
Benjamin Franklin once said, It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority .
The Lottery by Shirley Jackson, features a superstitious town subjected to a brutal and needless
yearly tradition. A lottery is held to choose a single townsperson, who then is surrounded by
every man, woman and child and stoned to death publicly. They believe that this gruesome act
will somehow ensure prosperity for the town and an abundant harvest. This story illustrates how
hesitant people can be to reject outdated ideas and a cautionary tale of the dangers of cultural
conformity. There s always been a lottery, (141) Old Man Warner states when Mr. Adams
mentions other towns are giving up the practice. This type of closed minded thinking, it s always

The younger generation often questions old ideas, but are rebuffed despite new facts being
discovered. Come on, come on, everyone. (144) Old Man Warner urges and pressures the reluctant
ones into an act of group murder. He bullies the townspeople to not think about their actions, just
conform. There will always those who are threatened by change, but the combination of fear and
illogical thinking is a dangerous one. This tale cautions us to think about our actions before we
become the one who casts the first stone.
Shirley Jackson best summed up her writing style when she said, I delight in what I fear. Known
for her gloomy psychological horror stories, The Lottery , is a perfect expression of her fears and
the general publics at that time. Originally written in 1948, the world was still feeling horrified

Effects Of School Uniforms Out Of Style

School Uniforms: Out of Style School uniforms have been around for decades within many private
and parochial schools. In recent years more and more public schools are implementing their own
uniforms hoping to see a change for the good within their schools. Upon researching the effects of
these uniforms, it is clear to see that school uniforms are unnecessary concepts that decrease student
individuality and do not actually help school attendance or test scores. Prior to taking a strong
stance on this controversial topic, it is crucial to understand the background of this concept.
According to Pro Con.org, The first recorded use of standardized dress in education may have been
in England in 1222, when the Archbishop of Canterbury mandated that students wear a robe like
outfit called the cappa clausa. (Pro Con.org). It s not until the 16th century England that the modern
educational uniform comes about. As years passed, school uniforms began being associated with
upper class schools. In the United States, school uniforms followed the English uniform norms and
tended to be implemented only within private and parochial schools. In 1987, the first public
schools to adopt a school uniform were in Maryland and Washington, DC. As more public schools
began to take in their own school uniforms, many different legal cases involving this movement
began to arise. With cases ruling both for and against the uniforms, people

The Development Of Byzantine Architecture
Byzantine architecture is directly related to imperial traditions, to the Christian life and culture of
the Romans. A typical feature of Byzantium is the diverse ethnic composition that includes Greeks,
Thracians, Armenians, Syrians, Copts, Jews, Avars, Slavs and many others. This diversity of
peoples and cultures influences the overall development of Byzantine architecture. Christianity is an
important element shaping the overall appearance of the Byzantine culture.
The light enters through the windows under the dome and illuminates the central ship and the
bridal space.
Procopius explains the impact of the architectural space on the light: The spherical dome, thanks to
the light, does not seem to stand on solid foundations, but seems to hang on a gold chain from the
sky.
In this way one can best describe the beauty and grace of Byzantine architecture.
Byzantine architecture has undergone three stages in its development:
In 313, Christianity was officially recognized. By 326 this was the official religion of the Roman
Empire. The boundaries of the Empire were from Milan and Cologne on the west to Syria on the
east and to Greece and Egypt on the south. The new religion requires all ceremonies to take place
inside the temple, which necessitates the increase of space within the temple. This created the need
for a new architecture. This function took the basilica.

The Stafford act is the backbone to any assistance provided by the federal government in the
aftermath of a disaster, specifically in this case the Military Support to Civil Authorities (MSCA).
Originally amended from its predecessor, the Disaster Relief act of 1974, the Stafford act was

under pressure and dramatically collapses onto a near by couch like a damsel in distress. At this
point, Ripper places his large arm over Mandrake s shoulder and explains the situation in a very

He states the string in my leg is gone. This underscores Mandrake s emasculated state, while
Ripper is fit and agile, a simple string has rendered the British Officer immobile; weak lacking

a hint of homoeroticism. In a desperate attempt to learn the codes from Ripper, Mandrake

You with the old gun, and me with the belt and the ammo, feeding you, Jack! Feed me, you said,

was treating the colonies very poor, making unjust laws, making the colonists pay taxes for the
French and Indian war, sending over soldiers to in force the laws, making the colonists house the
British soldiers and the soldiers ate and drank all the colonists had. After awhile of this abuse the
colonists had enough of it and they started to revolt against the British by tarring and feathering the

British goods. Once the King heard of this he sent more troops and closed down the Boston Harbor

Jingle Ball Concert
Sunday, December 10 was a night to remember. Kiss 108 s Jingle Ball took place, at TD Garden,
Boston. The opening acts began at 6 pm. The one downside to this was I had a basketball game

concert was still the best I have ever attended. The acts I missed were the boy band, Why Don t
We and Girl Meets World star Sabrina Carpenter singing two of her songs.
On the way into the concert, there was a vendor selling t shirts, after bargaining, we bought the
shirts for only $10. We quickly paid for them and ran into the stadium. Luckily, I made it just in
time for the last opening act, Max Schneider. Additional performers of the night included: Camila
Cabello, Charlie Puth, Kelly Clarkson, Halsey, Fifth Harmony, and lastly Fall Out Boy. Each sang
two to four songs. This concert was a nine act, 3 1/2 hour show.
The arena was packed with fans all different ages, all with pulsing energy. People wore festive
outfits and most were in the holiday spirit. I attended the concert with four of my closest friends,

The Importance Of Superstitions
There are two types of people in this world, the people who follow superstitions and people that
dont. Superstitions play a big role in today s society to the point where people will go about their
day due to a superstition. If a superstition that told them they were going to have bad luck because
of walking under a ladder, they are probably going to be more likely to believe something that is
not true. An event like this took place in the book ВЁJulius CaesarВЁ when Julius was told to
beware of the ides of march he did not listen. Some say that believing this saying would have
saved his life. However it must be taken into account the other reasons why it could have
happened. In this essay we will analyze and explain on why superstitions are not to be trusted and
followed.
One way superstitions are influencing our lives is people believing certain triggers of good and
bad luck, according to the us news ВЁ25 percent of people in the U.S. say they are very or
somewhat superstitious in generalВЁ (Colino 1). When people see a black cat or a penny on the
wrong side, it is generally associated with bad luck. In reality a perfectly good penny was just
passed up due to ВЁbad luckВЁ. Most of the time its just as harmless as passing up a penny, but
that s not the case with everyone. Sometimes people let superstitions keep them from doing
everyday tasks. This is important because people are letting rumors and myths that have a pretty big
chance of being incorrect completely change

Globalization has brought changes into the business world. Organizations are taking advantage of

Huey P Newton Research Paper
In African American history, we know of Dr. Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Malcolm X.
We know of Dr. Martin Luther King who dreamed that one day black people would not be
judged by the color of our skin, Rosa Parks, who inspired the Montgomery bus boycott by simply
saying no, and Malcolm X, who exhorted blacks to cast off the shackles of racismby any means
necessary. Many people are aware of these great leaders, though several are not acknowledged by
the impressive works of Huey P. Newton.
Huey P. Newton was born into a world where white peoplewere seen as smart and black people
were seen as stupid . He refuses to fall into the racist, oppressive system. All his life, Huey was a
victim of racism. Near the end of Huey s high school years, he saw many of his friends drift off
into the military, got married, or tried to become part of the system that humiliated black people
their whole lives. It seemed that black people in his community fell into the routine of marriage,
family, and debt. There was no way out of the oppressive system.
In the city of Oakland, California there were countless cases of police brutality and murders against
blacks. Black people also got mistrials in court. Huey wanted this injustice to end which brought
about the Black Panther Party. In 1966 Huey P. Newton formed the Black Panther Party... Show

Say No to Doping!
Doping in sports has been one of the most discussed issues by the world; either by the free
writers or the body of agencies related with sports. The discussion about this kind of issue has
started long time ago but it became more controversial and intense when Lance Armstrong, who
won the 2002 Tour de France by leaving his nearest rival 7 seconds behind, failed the drug test
(Cashmore) . Ellis Cashmore, a professor of culture, media, and sports at Staffordshire University
in the United Kingdom, through his article, Making Sense of Sports , came up with an argument
that drug should be allowed in sports. In the article, he effectively countered the argument of
some people out there that taking drug will lead to the unfair competition. As we are from the
generation who are never bored of seeking the best in human ability, the usage of drug is crucial
in order to boost the performance of the athlete. The prohibition of drug usage in sports surely will
affect the athletes performances and next lead to the turning off by the fans and this is surely a
thing needs to be taken into account (Cashmore) . I, myself, agree with Ellis Cashmore that drug
should be allowed in sports and I will explain my argument in terms of the misconception about
drug, the role of drug in promising competitive sports, and the function of drug in maintaining
athletes health. First, in order to change the entire rule of sports by allowing the presence of drug in
sports, the misconception about

The Economic Differences Between The Upper And Lower Class
All through history, the lower class has repeatedly been placed at a disadvantage. This group has
been suppressed to their superior counterparts since the beginning of time. Society may try to
ignore the gap, but it is dangerously prominent and constantly growing. The economical difference
is only one part of many in the differences of the rich and the poor. Hence the fact that they are
tremendously different in most aspects and this keeps the divide at large. It is also vastly difficult
to move up the class because the wealthy want to remain as prosperous as they can. Even though it
is not always obvious, the upper and lower classes are differentiated by their opportunities
throughout life, their education, and their social status.
The upper class of today is categorized as the part of society that has a surplus of money. This
surplus means the wealthy do not have to worry about income and tend to separate themselves
from those that do have this worry. Those that do have to worry about their weekly income are a
part of the middle class. These citizens are at the bottom of society and have the lowest quality of
life. These two groups are the polar ends of this world s society and contain the most diverse
lifestyles in many aspects. Unfortunately, all the inferior qualities fall with the lower division of
human culture.
Expanding on this, one major difference between the upper and lower class is that of education. In
the majority of lower class families, a strong education

history got under way (Tullai, Martin D. The Constitutional Convention ). Not everyone one

Cathedral There are many themes in the short story Cathedral, some of them include the Cathedral
itself and the difference between looking at something and really seeing something. Throughout the
short story you see how people have different personalities and see how fast a person can change.
The Cathedral and the audiotapes mean much more to both main characters than just an object or a
building.
In the beginning of the story the narrator is completely disgusted at the thought of a blind man

This short story helps make people understand that there is always more to the world than you
know and there is always more to learn. Imagine if a complete stranger came into your life and
changed all your views on the world and had you rethink the way you ve been living your entire
life. You, too, would wantto keep your eyes closed.
This theme is important because people go their entire lives looking but not really seeing. In the
beginning of the story, the blind man asks to see the wife s face, (blind peoples) sense of touch is
no keener than the average person s, but the more frequent use of touch enables them to more
quickly and efficiently analyze the things they touch (Bowles). As humans, we overlook the small
things and concentrate on the big and in doing so, we fail to realize that the little things are
sometimes the hugely important factors in life. This can also go along with not judging people
right away; do not judge a book by it s cover. Nowhere in the story does it describe how the
narrator felt after the blind man drew a Cathedral with him, but you can tell by the words he used
that he had never felt more alive. He felt like he was in an empty world and opening his eyes
would only remind him of the nothingness he s been living. The narrator says many things that
makes it obvious that he is fully capable or looking but that he does not see any solution to fixing
his life. He is leading a boring life he hates with no communication

Southwestern Border
On the South Western border of the United States roughly 2000 immigrants cross the border
illegally from Mexico every day. The vast majority of these immigrants are seeking financial
security and a safer life in the United States however, some are coming over to traffic weapons and
drugs for gangs and cartels. It is these few individuals that have caused the U.S. government to
pursue a multi billion dollar defense along the border.
The border between the United States and Mexico consists of 1,952 miles of land border that
divides a first world and third world nation. Any border is an environment of opportunity. People
flock to borders around the world to exploit the regions resources and people. There are always
plenty of people at the borders of nations to build large factories, or to traffic narcotics and weapons
into neighboring nations.
The Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty in 1848 and the Gadsden Purchase in 1853 dictated the border
between the United States and Mexico. The people of the region that surrounds both the United
States and Mexican sides of the border have a very similar past. The original inhabitants were
Native American societies, then the Spanish came to the New World and, by a perceived divine
right, took the land away from the natives and claimed the land for Spain. After the Spanish settled
into the area the English speaking nations came and claimed the lands from the earlier Spanish

Lesson number three is it is better to be a fox than a hedgehog . On the book, Silver expands this
idea and notes that a fox know many things because it s likely to intensely question itself and
gather information from a variety of sources. A hedgehog, on the other hand, will be more likely
to rely on a single source of conventional wisdom. This idea encourage us to be resourceful like a
fox, so we can be a more valuable contributor during the collaborative process. Collaboration is
typically understood as a process in which multiple people provide input .However, collaboration
can also be performed on an individual basis by collecting the information we need to shape to
temper our projections and plans.
Lesson number four is polls become more accurate the closer you get to the Election Day . This
idea encourage us to continually update our forecast especially when we are approaching a decision

closer you can update your forecasts to the point of decision, the more you improve your chances
for accuracy. But, we need to notice if we wait too long to share our forecasts in order to ensure
maximum accuracy, then we are defeating the purpose of the forecasting process. The optimal time

America And The Great War
America and the Great War At the turn of 19 20 centuries, capitalism has evolved into imperialism.
The world was almost completely divided between the major powers. Unbalance of economic and
socio political development of the countries increased. States, after others entered the path of
capitalist development (United States, Germany, Japan), quickly moved forward and pushed aside
from global markets old capitalist countries Great Britain and France, aggressively seeking
redistribution of colonies. The most acute contradictions have arisen between Germany and Great
Britain, whose interests were encountered in many areas of the globe, but especially in Africa, Asia
and the Middle East, where German imperialism mainly directed its trade and colonial expansion.
Deep were contradictions between Germany and France. Their sources were, on the one hand, the
desire of Germany to perpetuate Alsace and Lorraine, taken from France as a result of the Franco
Prussian War (1870 1871), and on the other, the determination of the French to return these areas
(Audoin Rouzeau Becker, 2002). French and German interests clashed in colonial question: France
attempts to seize Morocco met with strong opposition from Germany also applying for this
territory. Since the late 19th century Russian German conflict grew. The expansion of German
imperialism in the Middle East, its attempts to establish control over Turkey affected the economic,
political and military strategic interests of Russia.

Three Ethical Theories Of Ageism
Robert Butler a physician, gerontologist, psychiatrist, and Pulitzer Prize winning author, who was
the first director of the National Institute on Aging described ageism as [a] process of systematic
stereotyping or discrimination against people because they are old, just as racism and sexism
accomplish with skin color and gender. Ageismallows the younger generations to see older people
as different than themselves; thus they subtly cease to identify with their elders as human beings.
Butler saw ageism manifested in a wide range of phenomena on both individual and institutional
levels stereotypes and myths, outright disdain and dislike, simple avoidance of contact, and
discriminatory practices in housing, employment, and services of all kinds. In today s society
people view seniors as less valuable. They are perceived as frail and undesirable because of their ...

The Feminist Legal Theory focuses on women who are of mature age being given less rights and
opportunities and are also being disregarded in the discourse. It has been pointed out by feminist
writers that age can be an organizing principle of power, just as gender, race, class, and sexual
orientation are.
In context of how systems maintain some arrangements but also may substitute inequalities in later
life, other authors have begun to contemplate age and gender lenses. For example as a group,
married women and men tend to be better off in terms of their economic/material, health and social
resources than those who are not married. Similarly, younger age associates of married women
have a tendency to be better off than older age associates of married women.
This invites consideration of how rules specifically or cumulatively across the life course aid the
relative benefits or drawbacks for various groups of older

Bird And Magic Johnson In The Myth Of The Amateurs
In Yago ColГЎs s The Myth of the Amateurs, he explores the fascinating racial dynamic the
pairing of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson represented. On the surface, this white and black pair was
worlds apart, as ColГЎs pointed out the shy and reserved Bird was praised...for his effort,
concentration, guts, and unselfishness (89), compared to the outgoing and perpetually smiling,
Johnson, who became the embodiment of Showtime (90). However, Bird and Johnson weren t

summarized by Billy Hoyle, the main protagonist of the film: A white man wants to win, then
look good. A black man wants to look good, then win (1:10:50). On the surface, his claim is not too
far fetched. Although we see Billy s fair share of flashy plays, like no look backwards passes

White men are supposed to be bad at basketball; Billy s quite the ball player. Hustlers are selfish,
immoral men; Billy and Sidney are just trying to provide for their family. White men CAN T

is a chump (8:20) and is not good at basketball cause he s white (10:14). He presents himself as a
non threat on the court, a stereotype which he quickly proves wrong. Sidney is presented as the
epitome of stereotypical black basketball players flashy, charismatic, and cocky on the court. He

The Importance Of Creating A Website
When creating a website, it should have a myriad of essential entities. A site should be colorful,
fun to look at, and most importantly accessible to others in need! When creating this website for
Tony s Chips new company, as a software engineer it would be vitally important to capture
everyone attention to our new and improved companies site. By creating this website, it would be
amazing to incorporate all forms of software development such as design, databases, and structure.
In this website, it was essential to add a substantial amount of color, diversity, and a plethora of
helpful cinematography links to access later. Additionally, when adding the colors and font to my
website, I want to make the contrast viewable,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Users have come to expect highly responsive and interactive user interfaces. On my reproduction
site for Tony Chip, I added a fun little animated gesture just in case my users needed help being
guided around the website. Tiny little gesture can say Don t be scary, click me if you have a
Query, or Click me if you re lost . Most people have a hard time trying to find things on a site, by
doing this you re ending the hassle that can be hard for users when viewing your site. Adding
videos to websites play an important role also. This can be a tutorial video, or even a fun video
welcoming new, and returning users to the website page. On my webpage, I deiced to add both.
I added a few tutorial videos on how to use the site, who is Tony Chip, what is the company, and
its products, along with how to order them. I also added a welcome video to my followers
thanking them for choosing my webpage to view the companies fantastic success stories and
other people that purchase from the company. Also, to reduce the redundancy of other sites we
decided to add tutorials, and videos of my users are uploading their best photos. When
approaching the topic of designing a website layout, sometimes you can over construct ideas, so
it best to get the pen to paper, and merely sketch out an idea layout of your website. I made sure
that my web page was easy to navigate, easy for users to locate content on each page, and easy for
users to find what they need on

The Book Of Genesis Is Submerged With Revelation
Introduction
The Book of Genesis is submerged with revelation(s) which shows similarities between the first
Adam(s) and the last Adam(s). Revelation is the knowledge which the owner of the land gives
unto his subjects to execute his purpose in the land, in his place, see John 16:7 16; As the first
Adam is the son of God, see Luke 3:38. The last Adam is God the Son, see Hebrews 1:8. Adam
was given the knowledge to execute the Father s purpose in the garden, this is a type of
revelation, see Genesis 2:15 19. Adam is the prince of this word, he owns the land by
inheritance, and obeys the will of the Father, by operating in the spirit of revelation, see Genesis
2:17. When is, the inheritance given to Adam, Genesis 1:26; says, let them have dominion over
ALL the earth. The only thing that was greater than Adam was God s word. God himself has
now made himself subject to Adam decisions. In Genesis 2:17, Death here refers to dominion
over principalities and powers, see Ephesians 1:19 23. When Adam disobeyed, SIN entered the
world, and DEATH gained dominion over the laws of Adam. Since God was in Adam, DEATH
separated Adam from the Father because of the new law in his spirit, see Genesis 3:7 22. Adam
was now born again, but to death. Thus, death entered the world and became the new
schoolmaster, see Romans 5:12. Subsequently, God removes himself from the body of man, began
his redemptive work, by reducing mans life to 120 years, see Genesis 6:3; and permitting the

Health Benefits Of Hunting
Each year, hunters contribute billions of dollars to the economy and conservation efforts. Sadly,
without these conservationists, all of the land that is maintained for outdoor recreation would be
lost. When a person betters the environment to increase their enjoyment of hunting, they are also
indirectly benefiting everything else in the area. The hunters pay for a majority of the land used for
bird watching, hiking, and other outdoor sports. Lately, huntinghas been under fire for no longer
being needed in today s life. Many people do not believe how much hunting contributes to the
environment in order to conserve public land. Also, a lot of people do not know of the health
benefits of hunting. Along with the benefit of a relatively more active lifestyle, the hunter also
enjoys a healthier and completely all natural meat. Hunting is constantly criticized for being no
longer needed, but it is shown that hunters not only help conservation efforts, they also lead a
healthier lifestyle.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of the money that comes from hunters goes directly to the conservation of all public wildlife
areas that are used by everybody. People such as hikers, birdwatchers, campers, and more use
these areas year round. However, the bulk of the money comes from the hunters and anglers who
are dependant on how the land is kept. If the conservation were to stop, then trails and facilities
would soon fall into disrepair (Lawrence). The parks themselves would eventually close because
nobody would be paid to work there. Eventually, the environment would become overgrown which
would cause the animal population to drop. Since the forest canopy would be so crowded, it
would block all of the sunlight that is required by the plants that are used for food by all animals.
Conservation is dependant on all outdoor enthusiast for its survival but it needs hunting in order to

Henry Hudson Essays
Henry Hudson was an English explorer, who sailed along the North East coast of North
American. His early life is unknown, for there is not even a record of the year he was born. His
final days are a mystery, after his mutinous crew set him adrift in the bay that bears his name, June
1611. It is believed that he could have been the grandson of a London alderman who helped found
the Muscovy Company, which is a trading company. Hudson took four voyages beginning in 1607
and continued to1611, making claims for the English and the Dutch. At one point, he was arrested
for working with the Dutch, because in those days working for another country was considered
treason. Hudson was also known as the grandfather of the English whaling... Show more content on

They put Henry Hudson, his son, and others they didn t like onto a small raft, then set them adrift,
never to be seen again.
Henry Hudson made several important discoveries. He founded the Hudson Bay and Hudson
River. He found the land that later became New York. He also helped to prove that the sun does
not melt the ice at the North Pole and that there is no passage through the Northeast to the Pacific.
The countries that sponsored him benefited though his discoveries. The area, today called New
York, was settled and colonized by the Dutch. As well as, the English whaling industry, which
benefited for his discovery of the whale, pods a Spitzbergen Islands.
Henry Hudson was an adventurous explorer. He started with a sponsorship from his native
country England, but when that was not available he worked for the Dutch. Even though he was
arrested for treason, because he was working for another country, he came back and was able to
get hired by another English company. He was determined to find a quick northern passage to the
east for the benefit of the trade industry. He faced many challenges in his travels. In the end, the
toughest challenge he was not able to over come was his mutinous

The win for the United States had major political impacts on the United States, the Soviet Union and the Cold War. The Soviet Union entered the Lake Placid games as the favorite, having won the last four ice hockey gold medals all the way back to the 1964 games. In the four Olympics following their 1960 loss to Team USA at Squaw Valley, Soviet teams had gone 27 1 1 and outscored the opposition 175 44. In match ups against the United States, the total score over those games was 28 7 with Russia outscoring the US. Hands truly are the most versatile machines, they can be utilized for a plethora of activities. Most people in society today, however, choose not to exploit them for the betterment of the world, those are the ones who will be forgotten. In Ray Bradbury s dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451, the motif of hands is utilized as a way of depicting the contrast between the longevity of the legacies of those who are idle and those who employ their hands for moral actions. The depiction of hands belonging to those who obtain no desire to effect change is used to convey the self inflicted harm which subsequently leads to a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Montag that is introduced at the beginning of the novel seems quite similar to Mildred, while he does manage to utilize his hands, they are only employed for cataclysmic purposes. Bradbury describes Montag s hands as the hands of some amazing conductor playing all the symphonies of blazing and burning to bring down the tatters and charcoal ruins of history (1). Montag seems to exemplify destruction in this passage, his hands, however, are the enforcers, acting as a completely separate organism. The Mechanical Hound, Mildred, and Montag s hands have all been described in the same way; as being both alive and deceased, ironically all three objects with that connotation have proven to be extraordinarily disastrous. As time progresses, and Montag manages to maintain control over his own bodily functions, his actions become more positive. This change in him is provoked by his realization of the importance that novels hold, Bradbury explains that his hands had been infected, and soon it would be his arms. He could feel the poison working up his wrists and into his elbows and his shoulders, and then the jump over from shoulder blade to shoulder blade like a spark leaping a gap. His hands were ravenous (38). This is the turning point for Montag; he has been infected with his own harsh reality. His hands have been affected and altered from the way they had been before; independent and dominant. Montag is gaining control over his own actions, this is a metaphor for how the government is losing its power over him now that he understands the truth. The less of a grip the government has on Montag, the greater chance he has to create a legacy for himself. At the end of the novel, after the decimation of the entire city, there is no longer a government to constrict Montag and his ideas for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Difference Between Inductive And Guided Discovery Introduction In this provided chapter, the teaching method is more likely to be the inductive approach to language teaching or learning and deductive approach, or guided discovery. Deductive vs. inductive grammar teaching There are differences between inductive approach and deductive approach. Gollin (1998) stated that the inductive approach applied students to work out what the rules are from examples and find out what the meanings are throughout the given examples or practices whilst the deductive approach happened when teacher gives the explicit rules first. To be more specific, the former refers to working from the general to more specific whereas the latter moving from specific observations to broader generalizations. The concept of discovery techniques in Harmar (1987) is a keeping of what inductive approach which students start with several examples and will be soon asked to generate the rules through their experiences and examples. Upon Harmar s idea, Scrivener (2011) prompt the concept of guided discovery which is activities that allow learners to generate their own discoveries and explanations (Scrivener, 2005). It was also realized that they react to different things such as Calcium reacting to water and the other four metals not reacting to water. To carry out the experiment, there was a set of steps that were followed to get results. All five metals were placed in water in separate test tubes to start with. Calcium was the only one that reacted with water while the rest of the metals didn t. Those metals that had no reaction with water were taken aside and the water inside their test tube was poured out. Once the water was poured out with the metal remaining in the test tube, weak acid was poured in. The results of the four metals with acid were then observed and recorded.... The purpose of this lab was to test the reactivity of certain metals, then create an activity series based on observations. A potential source of error could have been when the water was being poured out of the test tubes with metals that had no reactions, some of the metals that were in powder form could have been accidentally poured out with the water and so when the acid was placed in there wasn t enough of the metal to cause a ... • 11. Explain The Procedures Of Three Sociological Research... Explain the procedures of three sociological research methods and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. Sociology is the study of how humans experience life. Through studying behaviour, development, cultures and how people function as a society sociologist strive to explain social problems. This is achieved through research methods. Research methods can take many different approaches and rarely is one method used to gain insight and understanding, a mixture of different concepts can be used so the findings are more rigor. This is known as triangulation (Pullinger,2014,p.89). Many different factors can influence methods, self interest can affect whether the sociologist is prepared to carry out time consuming methods, also time available and funds available can be a factor. Research methods that take long to analyse, such as statistics, might be to time consuming and large scale interviewing or surveys may not be very cost effective. Methods can also be , in some situations, unethical therefore a different approach would be needed. The biggest influences are methodologies and theories. If the sociologist leans towards positivism their research methods will be hard data and high in reliability, meaning the data will be strong in consistency, precise and if repeated the same results would thought to have been found. Data findings will be numerical, large scaled and statistical meaning it is quantitative data. This method is scientific and favours social surveys and use ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is just to say that life has no favourites, and metes out punishment to anybody who commits mistakes. People eventually pay for their acts of sin. So, why is it that some people are able to make peace with their past mistakes and graciously welcome the life they have in front of them? The answer to this is redemption. Redemption is the second chance life gives us, to atone for our sins, mend our faults and change our story. It is up to every individual how he or she wants to perceive this rare opportunity given by life. This resonates with the philosophy of the karmic cycle. According to renowned mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik, Hindu mythology sees destinations as merely an individual s choice. For a person who believes there is life after death, death is merely an artificial milestone. What is natural, however is action. Every action has a reaction, consequences of which are both short lived and long term. Karma is both the action and the reaction, the cause and the consequence, the stimulus and the ... Effects Of School Uniforms Out Of Style Zack Helton English IV Rhonda Hill 27 October 2017 School Uniforms: Out of Style School uniforms have been around for decades within many private and parochial schools. In recent years more and more public schools are implementing their own uniforms hoping to see a change for the good within their schools. Upon researching the effects of these uniforms, it is clear to see that school uniforms are unnecessary concepts that decrease student individuality and do not actually help school attendance or test scores. Prior to taking a strong stance on this controversial topic, it is crucial to understand the background of this concept. According to Pro Con.org, The first recorded use of standardized dress in education may have been in England in 1222, when the Archbishop of Canterbury mandated that students wear a robe like outfit called the cappa clausa. (Pro Con.org). It s not until the 16th century England that the modern educational uniform comes about. As years passed, school uniforms began being associated with upper class schools. In the United States, school uniforms followed the English uniform norms and tended to be implemented only within private and parochial schools. In 1987, the first public schools to adopt a school uniform were in Maryland and Washington, DC. A typical feature of Byzantium is the diverse ethnic composition that includes Greeks, Thracians, Armenians, Syrians, Copts, Jews, Avars, Slavs and many others. This diversity of peoples and cultures influences the overall development of Byzantine architecture. Christianity is an important element shaping the overall appearance of the Byzantine culture. The light enters through the windows under the dome and illuminates the central ship and the bridal space. Procopius explains the impact of the architectural space on the light: The spherical dome, thanks to the light, does not seem to stand on solid foundations, but seems to hang on a gold chain from the sky. In this way one can best describe the beauty and grace of Byzantine architecture. Byzantine architecture has undergone three stages in its development: In 313, Christianity was officially recognized. By 326 this was the official religion of the Roman Empire. The boundaries of the Empire were from Milan and Cologne on the west to Syria on the east and to Greece and Egypt on the south. The new religion requires all ceremonies to take place inside the temple, which necessitates the increase of space within the temple. This created the need for a new architecture. We know of Dr. Martin Luther King who dreamed that one day black people would not be judged by the color of our skin, Rosa Parks, who inspired the Montgomery bus boycott by simply saying no, and Malcolm X, who exhorted blacks to cast off the shackles of racismby any means necessary. All his life, Huey was a victim of racism. The discussion about this kind of issue has started long time ago but it became more controversial and intense when Lance Armstrong, who won the 2002 Tour de France by leaving his nearest rival 7 seconds behind, failed the drug test (Cashmore) . Ellis Cashmore, a professor of culture, media, and sports at Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom, through his article, Making Sense of Sports , came up with an argument that drug should be allowed in sports. In the article, he effectively countered the argument of some people out there that taking drug will lead to the unfair competition. As we are from the generation who are never bored of seeking the best in human ability, the usage of drug is crucial in order to boost the performance of the athlete. This group has been suppressed to their superior counterparts since the beginning of time. Society may try to ignore the gap, but it is dangerously prominent and constantly growing. The economical difference is only one part of many in the differences of the rich and the poor. Hence the fact that they are tremendously different in most aspects and this keeps the divide at large. It is also vastly difficult to move up the class because the wealthy want to remain as prosperous as they can. Even though it is not always obvious, the upper and lower classes are differentiated by their opportunities throughout life, their education, and their social status. The upper class of today is categorized as the part of society that has a surplus of money. This surplus means the wealthy do not have to worry about income and tend to separate themselves from those that do have this worry. Those that do have to worry about their weekly income are a part of the middle class. These citizens are at the bottom of society and have the lowest quality of life. These two groups are the polar ends of this world s society and contain the most diverse lifestyles in many aspects. Unfortunately, all the inferior qualities fall with the lower division of human culture. Expanding on this, one major difference between the upper and lower class is that of education. Unbalance of economic and socio political development of the countries increased. States, after others entered the path of capitalist development (United States, Germany, Japan), quickly moved forward and pushed aside from global markets old capitalist countries Great Britain and France, aggressively seeking redistribution of colonies. The most acute contradictions have arisen between Germany and Great Britain, whose interests were encountered in many areas of the globe, but especially in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, where German imperialism mainly directed its trade and colonial expansion. Deep were contradictions between Germany and France. Their sources were, on the one hand, the desire of Germany to perpetuate Alsace and Lorraine, taken from France as a result of the Franco Prussian War (1870 1871), and on the other, the determination of the French to return these areas (Audoin Rouzeau Becker, 2002). French and German interests clashed in colonial question: France attempts to seize Morocco met with strong opposition from Germany also applying for this territory. Ageismallows the younger generations to see older people as different than themselves; thus they subtly cease to identify with their elders as human beings. Butler saw ageism manifested in a wide range of phenomena on both individual and institutional levels stereotypes and myths, outright disdain and dislike, simple avoidance of contact, and discriminatory practices in housing, employment, and services of all kinds.
