This document analyzes farmers' access to agricultural services in Bangladesh, comparing areas in the Feed the Future zone in the south to other areas. It finds that while extension services reach mostly larger farmers, their outreach is relatively better in FtF zones. Small farmers benefit more from extension in terms of higher yields. Though marginal and small farmers make up most farmers, they receive little institutional credit and borrow more for non-agricultural purposes. The analysis concludes policies should focus on improving marginal and small farmers' access to agricultural services and credit to boost technology adoption.
