2.  What is electrolysis? How does it work?
Thisis the heartof the echomachine.Electrolysiswas discoveredinthe year1800 by Dr.
AnthonyCarlisle.He wastryingto finda wayto produce hydrogen.Electrolysisworkswhen
water(hydrogenandoxygen,2gassesthat forma liquid) goesintothe electrolyticchamberand

 Does Echo® water have any taste?

 What is the difference between the alkaline and acidic water?
The difference betweenthe twowatertypesisthe pHlevel.Alkaline waterhasa pH higherthan
7, while acidicwaterhasa pH lowerthan7. Howeverthe benefitcomesfrommolecular
hydrogen,notthe level of pH.
 What are the uses with the acidic water?
Acidicwatercan be usedon yourface,hair, teeth,andto rinse yourmouthto kill bacteria.It'sa
wonderful sterilizer.Youcan use itfor skinissuessuchasacne, eczema,psoriasis,cuts,and

 How soon after I start drinking Echo® water will I experience benefits?

 What kind of maintenance will I have to do for the Echo® machine?
If you have a countertop machine,there isnomaintenance thatyouwill do.The machine is

 Can I store Echo® water to take on the go? How long will the hydrogen last in a
container?
Yes!It will dependonthe containerusedandthe temperature stored.The largerthe volume,
the longerthe hydrogenwill stayinthe water.Youshouldfill yourcontainerall the waytothe
top withNOair space.Make sure to close the containertightly.Once youopenthe containerto

 Is Echo® water, structured water?

 Doesn’t water already have hydrogen in it?
The water molecule hastwohydrogenatoms, chemicallyboundtothe oxygenatom.Thisis
differentfromthe hydrogengas molecule(H2),whichisjusttwohydrogenatomsboundonlyto
each other.
Here’san example:we needoxygen(O2) tolive,sowhycan’twe justget our oxygenfrom
drinkingwaterH2O?It’sbecause the oxygenischemicallytiedupinthe watermolecule. We
needavailableoxygengas,(O2) thatisnotbond to otheratomsor molecules. Bythe same
token,we needthe availablehydrogengas(H2).
Thisis whywaterisnot explosive ordoesn’tburn.Although,itcontainshydrogen,whichis
flammable,andoxygen,whichfireneedstoburn,the hydrogenandoxygenare bonded
togethertoform water(H2O).Thus,waterisnot flammable-infact;H2Ois whatwe use to
extinguish fires.
Furthermore,virtuallyeverythinghashydrogenatomsinit, butthose hydrogenatomsare
chemicallytiedupwithotherthings. Forexample, awatermolecule hastwohydrogenatomsthat
are chemicallytiedupwiththe oxygen.Or,asugar molecule like glucosecontains12hydrogen’s,
but those hydrogen’sare all boundtoothercarbon andoxygenatoms. Inhydrogenwater,the

8.  If water is “hydrogen rich”, then isn’t it acidic?
Great question!If the waterisrichin positive hydrogenions(H+
).thenyesitIS acidic.Butin this

It can be confusingtohear“hydrogenwater”because we usuallythinkof hydrogen(meaning

 I read that if you add hydrogen to water, then it makes it hydrogen peroxide, is that
true?
Water hasthe chemical formulaH2O, andhydrogenperoxide hasthe chemical formulaH2O2,
whichbycomparisoncontains extraoxygen,nothydrogen.So itdoesnot,indeeditcannot,
formhydrogenperoxide.The factis,hydrogengasdoesnotbondto or reactwiththe water
molecules,itjustdissolvesintothe water.Itdoesnotcreate some novel molecule like H4O,

 Won’t the dissolved hydrogen gas immediately escape out of the water?
Yes,it doesimmediatelystartcomingoutof the water,butit doesn’tjustvanishimmediately.
Dependingonthe surface area,agitation,etc.,the hydrogengascanstay inthe water fora few
hoursor longerbefore itdropsbelow atherapeuticlevel.Thisismuchlike carbonatedwateror
