Guilt And Guilt In Macbeth
Connor Stoll
Stroeve
English 2, Period 5
2 November 2017
The Feeling of Guilt
Guilt is cancer. Guilt will confine you, torture you, and destroy you as an artist. It s a black wall.
It s a thief Dave Grohl. In the play, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Shakespeare shows how guilt can
cause terrible consequences. The Tragedy of Macbeth is a story about a Scottish general, Macbeth,
who receives a prophecy from a group of witches that one day he will be the King of Scotland.
Intrigued by the news, Macbeth is willing to do anything it takes to be King. Manipulated by his
wife, Macbeth then ends up murdering the King and takes the throne for himself. But after
contemplating on the repulsive act that he had just done, all Macbeth is left with is a loss of
words and a heart full of guilt all because of his wife. In the play, Shakespeare uses a huge variety
of imagery to show how some mistake may cost you your life.
In the play, Shakespeare uses sleep imagery to show how guilt is one of the worst feeling in the
world. People say that guilt is just an emotion that ll go away in seconds, but others think that guilt
is the worst thing to encounter. For example, after Lady Macbeth manages to convince Macbeth to
kill the King, he is then entered into an emotional stage of guilt. In Act II Scene 2, Macbeth says,
One cried God bless us! and Amen the other, As they had seen me with these hangman s hands:
List ning their fears, I could not say Amen, When they did say God bless us!

March Of The Penguins Analysis
The documentary film, March Of The Penguins was a subjective film that showed the tragedies,
loving as well as the survival skills of the penguins. Throughout the film, Morgan Freeman narrated
about every moment the penguins made to show what happens in their day to day life. Moreover,
showing the connection between penguins and humans. March Of The Penguins film was said in a
humanizing voice, which told more of a story than an informational film. The tone of his voice, his
responses to the scenes and the lack of evidence portrayed subjectivity throughout the film. Morgan
Freeman s tone changed the aspect of the film by making it an emotional film. During the scenes
of a devastating lost, his voice made it seem very deplorable. For example,

You know, you truly are an amazing person. You are one with a great many talents and skills,
ranging from your intelligence to your creativity. The work you have accomplished in life is
awe inspiring, especially with your art pieces. Throughout the time we had known each other,
we have shared many adventures and many conversations (though... mostly things relating to

have a very free spirited and playful attitude, there are times where you can be very sincere. You
have always impressed me on how well you are able to assess/interpret situations, then acting
accordingly to resolve it. You are one who uses a rational and logical approach when solving the
problems presented to you; from what I can tell, you always come up with the best solutions.
Indeed, I view you as a very wise and intelligent mentor. Whenever I sought advice, I had often
relied on you. You had always answered to my calls, regardless of how trivial or serious the
subject was (you especially helped me on matters with regards to Nancy, but I could tell you were
having fun). While you do pick on me from time to time, it has always been in a more light hearted

No Color Barrier in Mark Twain s The Adventures of...
No Color Barrier in the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn I felt so lonesome I most wished I was
dead (221). Mark Twain s, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, is a tale about a boy in search for a
family and a place he can truly call home. Through his adventure, he rids himself of a father that
is deemed despicable by society, and he gains a father that society hasn t even deemed as a man.
This lonely and depressed young boy only finds true happiness when he is befriended with a slave
named Jim. Although Huck Finn was born and raised into a racially oppressive society, it is
through his personal growth that he realizes that the color of skin does not make a man, and he

Here s Huck [...] he hain t got no family [...]. They was going to rule me out because they said
every boy must have a family [...]. I was most ready to cry (224). This feeling of disparity and
loneliness is reiterated to the reader because Huck will only be content as he befriends Jim.
Huck is raised in a truly racist slave state and through his ignorance, like the rest of society that
surrounds him, he does not see black people as equals, and he refers to Jim as merely a piece of
property. Miss Watson s big [slave], named Jim (222). Twain clearly implies Huck s view of
superiority over Jim, as Huck complains that Jim is no longer a useful slave because he gossips

moles to hear Jim tell about it [...]. Jim was most ruined for a servant, because he got so stuck up
on account of having seen the devil and been rode by witches (223). Twain depicts this view from
Huck, so the reader had a reference point for Huck s personal growth throughout the tale. He then
continues to show the reader that Huck has no regards for Jim as Huck asks Jim to tell him his
fortune, but he refuses to give Jim any money for

The Influences of the Great Famine on the Catholic Church
The Great famine was a period of starvation, disease and emigration between 1845 and 1852.
Dudley Edwards in the 1950s, stated it was but a period of greater misery in a prolonged age of
suffering .
Around some 3.3 million people were completely dependent on the potato for survival while
almost near up to 4.7 million relied on the root as the main item in their diet. Historian James
Donnelly, junior, believes, It was above all the poverty of such a large segment of the Irish
population that made the Great Famine so destructive of human life . In 1845 a disease reached
Ireland from continental Europe via England. Between 1846 and 1849 the Irish potato crop failed
three seasons out of four. By 1849 the worst was over. But the distressing nightmare of those 6
years 1845‐51 had created radical and long term changes on the Irish society. The greatest
change was the decline of the population and this was due to deaths from hunger and disease and
emigration. The famine was a watershed in the history of Ireland. Its effects permanently changed
Ireland s demographic, political, cultural and religious landscapes.
The Famine was observed as an important period for religious life, because it saw all the churches
face challenges to their spiritual authority, or their status. Religious leaders and the churches were
under increasing pressure for its ideas, its education and its cultural activities. In spite of all this
there was an increase in religious dedication, and this is

the problem. Daily, there is a large number of out of province vehicles, large fleets (Northern

The Characteristics Of North American Currency
Have we always known the distinct characteristics of North American currency? The dollar bills
and coins we use today have been through many changes in appearance and value. Paper and
metals have been the appearance of most currency. The change of currency went through early
colonial period, colonial period, Antebellum period, Civil War period and the Reconstruction period
to finally establish what we now know as American Currency. The separation of our country did not
represent unity or form for America. The American currency did not have an identity until the
National Banking Act of 1863, established the dollaras the currency of choice.
The currency that was used in most English colonies during the 1600s was coins. The Colonists of
that time would count their money based on the English system that consisted of shillings,
pounds, and pence that was valued as; twelve pence equaled a shilling and twelve shillings
equaled a pound (Walbert, David). The pence were also recognized to be a penny. The currency
varied in each region and some would only accept trade and not pence or schillings. One of the
most common identities of currency later became the Spanish dollar. After so many people had the
dollars they become less in value and caused inflation to the country and a new type of currency
needed to be established for the country.
During the late Colonial period in 1690, a decision was suggested that the Spanish dollar was no
longer of a great value and worth its weight in

SchillerВґs Aesthetic Philosophy of Human Nature
Schiller takes the position that his age is lacking something, meaning that it is missing a certain
something that is essential for all human beings. In other words, the part is missing the whole .
Friedrich Schiller on the Sixth Letter of his text On the Aesthetic Education of Man in a Series of
Letters gives an example of a culture, which was not wanting. This culture, the Hellenic Greeks,
seemed to manage a perfect balance between art and wisdom, and their connection to nature, for
they realized art and wisdom were not something of their own that detached them from nature, but
that they were the road itself, which one had to take to find his way towards nature. Schiller states
this differently. For they were wedded [the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Schiller asserts that beauty is an aesthetic unity of thought and feeling, of reason and emotion. It
Is by the attainment of this unity that Schiller believes enables human nature to be realized and
fulfilled. That Beauty may lead to truth, meaning one can become the ideal through joining the
logical and the emotional. However, when truth is perceived, feeling may follow thought, or
thought may follow feeling.(189) When beauty is understood, thought is unified with feeling.
He states the need for this unity much beautifully than just a philosopher could The reality of
things is the work of the things; the appearance of things is the work of man and a nature which
delights in appearance no longer takes pleasure in what it receives, but in what it does (125). At
first, the second half did not make much sense, but upon reflection one may see that Schiller is
saying we should not just revel in what the senses take in, but use our reason to look deeper,
beyond the surface. Schiller however does not believe this is a realistic goal or even an attainable
one, as we discussed in class. Schiller needs to make some sort of distinction between the potential
Man and the goal of Man, as a manifestation or visualization of that potential or archetype. The
impossibility of ever attaining the ideal calls for the identification of potential and goal, which
shows that they cancel each other out: unrealizable potential is not,

Stanislavsky Method Acting

One such case is Daniel Day Lewis who received traditional training rather than experiential at
Bristol Old Vic, a high profile theatre arts school in England. Daniel Day Lewis is known for
refusing to break character in between scenes and doing extensive research for every role he
accepts. This was particularly the case for Spielberg s Lincoln, in which Lewis studied for over
a year and used his Lincoln imitative voice beyond the confines of the set to play the titular role
which won him an Oscar. Lastly, Jake Gyllenhaal is known for undergoing physical
transformations that rival the severity of De Niro s when he adopts a role. This included losing
30 pounds to portrary the neurotic amaetur videographer Louis Bloom in Nightcrawler.
Additionally, Gyllenhaal left the film with a permanent scar on his hand, the result of a mindset

the film Southpaw, Gyllenhaal spent 8 months in an extremely rigorous exercise routine in order

Ethical Issues In Animal Testing
The second factor to take into consideration consists on the ethical considerations of animal
experiments, as animals have the ability to suffer just like humans do. Under some circumstances,
a major key issue of testing animals implicates pain and suffering, which is not considered by
laboratories. Many researchers still frequently use live animals in their experiments and before they
research is done, the pain and distress potential which can be inflicted on the creatures needs to be
evaluated in order to minimize these living beings suffering (Carbone, 2011). The same author
states that it is crucial to find a way to treat humandiseases and severe injuries without causing any
pain to these animals, and the best way to achieve this is by recognizing that animals suffer pain in
the first place. This has already been achieved in some places, such as in Britain, where the

Domestic Terrorism
National terrorism has been the focus of attention since September 11. But now domestic terrorism
is becoming increasingly common among hate groups across the nation. Domestic terrorism can
be defined as visible crime, or street crime. These acts would consist of violent crimes, (acts
against people in which injury or death results) property crimes (acts that threaten property held by
individuals or the state) and public order crimes. (acts that threaten the general well being of
society and challenger accepted moral principles) It can also however be described as political

More specifically, we read and study for classes because we are students. In turn, people in these
deviant groups plan and/or commit violent acts against people, other groups, the government, etc.
because they are in those groups. A specific example from the article would be in October 2004
in Tennessee the FBI arrested Demetrius Van Crocker who hated the government and tried to
acquire explosives and chemical weapons so that he could blow up a government building. [1] His
role was to hate the government, and try to destroy it or hurt it in anyway. Perhaps the concept that
would relate to this article the best is deviance. Deviance is behavior that violates the standards of
conduct or expectations of a group or society. To our society these domesticterrorist acts and
domestic terrorist groups would be considered deviant. They violate the standards of conduct or
expectations that we set for our society, by committing acts of terrorism on people, other groups
and our nation as a whole. Deviance can tie into the labeling theory which is when the label of
being deviant is applied to a person. Furthermore, these people and groups would be seen as pure
deviant(s), which means they are perceived as deviant and actually are deviant. This brings us to
our last concept, social control, which are the strategies and techniques for preventing deviant
behavior in any society. The article describes attempts

These are the processed cheeses most commonly found in grocery stores and markets in the United
States. These cheeses do not require refrigeration and have a very long shelf life, sometimes going
several weeks or a few months without spoiling. American cheese and reduced fat cheeses are
common examples of processed, pre packed pasteurized cheeses. Typically processed cheeses are
required to have artificial flavoring added to them because during the pasteurization process, the
milk s natural flavors are removed, which reduces the natural flavor of the cheese itself. These
processed, pre packaged and pasteurized cheeses are also commonly referred to as club cheeses or
cold cut cheeses.
Pasteurized cheeses are the most common types of cheeses found in markets and grocery stores
and they are the only type of cheeses considered safe and approved for regular consumption by the
U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Pasteurized cheeses are also good for many recipes, whether
just as an appetizer or paired with crackers, fruit, and wine.

Should pasta companies be forced to label the country of origin?
This past week Italy formally asked the European commission to require country of origin on
pastas sold in Italy. As many expected, this has caused an uproar with international companies,
most notably Canadian, who believe this requirement will cause lessen sales. Italy s proposed plan
is to show where the wheat is grown and milled on the pasta packaging. This regulation would
clearly be a detriment to Canadian pasta brands and would also require Italian pasta brands to
segregate from one another by country. With margins in consideration, this will surely increase the

Four years ago the United States was in a similar situation with Mexico in regards to international
meat, rather than pasta. On September 11, 2013, a United States district judge refused to stop
the government from requiring more specific labels on beef, pork, poultry and lamb products
that were sold in the United States (The Pig Site). This served as a victory for defenders of the
mandatory Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) policy. COOL, is a controversial United States
food and agricultural labeling policy that was implemented and deemed mandatory in 2009. The
policy requires that fresh foods, most notably meat, must indicate on the label where the product
was born, grown, raised and slaughtered (The Pig Project). It is not a secret that international and
domestic businesses operate differently, As mentioned in chapter 1 of the textbook, companies can
expand their sales by engaging in international business. In this case, Canada exports their pasta in

The Nuclear Of Nuclear Power Essay
Nuclear power has the potential to create vast amounts of energy from a comparatively miniscule
fuel source. According to the Nuclear Energy Institute, ...as of November 2016, 30 countries
worldwide are operating 450 nuclear reactors for electricity generation and 60 new nuclear plants
are under construction (Nuclear Energy Institute, 2016). Not only has nuclear powerseen use across
the world, but it has seen applications in the United States and right here in Florida. Currently,
there are two facilities operated by Florida Power and Light (FPL) in the Sunshine State that
produce over 3,000 megawatts of energy homes, public buildings, and businesses alike (Florida
Power and Light, 2016a). However, these plants are hundreds of miles away from Volusia County
(located near the major metropolitan areas of Port St. Lucie and Miami) and their benefits cannot
be reaped by citizens in the county due to this distance. With successful nuclear plants already in
operation within the state, why should Volusia County not try to acknowledge the possibility of
such a project?
Fossil fuels, as is widely known, are exhaustible resources that cannot possibly sustain humankind
s energy needs ad infinitum. Nuclear energy provides a way to wean our population off natural
gases, not necessarily overnight, but over the course of years or decades. Volusia does have the
space, and the St. John s River provides an excellent water source to take advantage of for cooling

By the end of the chapter, all six men are transferred to a special unit of the Marines to begin a year
of hard training. This is where they found out that they were going on a special mission to Island

in the same company, Easy Company. The men tried to stay up beat, but most of them knew that
the battle of Iwo Jima was going to be there last.
After training the six men were then placed in a group, called Spearhead, which left Pearl
Harbor and sailed toward Iwo Jima hoping to make land fall on February 19, 1945, also known
as D day. The defenses the Japanese built on Iwo Jima was like none ever expected. They made
what looked like an underground city with an extensive series of underground tunnels, James
Bradley explains. This defense is what made Iwo Jima the bloodiest and most costly battle of the
war in terms of lives lost and injuries.
James Bradley describes how he found people to give interviews to describe the events of the
first awful days of battle for the Marines at Iwo Jima. To let the reader know just how bad D day
was, James puts in these statistics: 566 men were killed, 1,755 wounded, and 99 suffered combat
fatigue, which allowed the story to come alive.

Essay On Texas Local Government
Chapter ten focuses on Texas local government and why it is such a huge deal. The local
government is closer and highly responsive to citizens than the state and the federal government.
They provide water, public education, and other services. Over the years, Texas is rapidly
becoming more diverse which creates a greater demand for more representation in the local
government. The top five cities have diverse city councils. It does make a difference when a city s
council does not reflect the city s population. San Antonio s city council best reflects the racial
/ethnic composition of its population. Sadly, Houston s council diverges the most from its city s
racial/ethnic composition. They have five members of the council who are white, but the largest
race in their population are Latinos (Champagne, Harpham, Casellas 339). I do think it is crucial for
the city councils to reflect the racial/ethnic composition of their communities... Show more content

ambulance services, and hospital care (Siegel). I feel like cities and counties shouldn t do the
jobs that special districts do even though they both exercise the same powers. Special districts are
more hands on and tailored to their counties. Every county has different concerns and needs. Cities

provide services citizens want. The amount differs and for each county. Property taxes and user

The Right To Freedom Of Freedom
The freedom of assembly and demonstration is pivotal to a democratic society due to the fact that
peaceful protest allows citizens to participate in democracy by being active in governmental affairs
through voicing their grievances and opinions in a peaceful manner. The right to freedom of
assembly guarantees the possibility of peaceful protestwithout government interference and
allows those protesting safety and security and also allows those protesting to make use of their
right to freedom of expression. The act of peaceful protest allows citizens to make their voices
heard when they usually would not be, for citizens to raise and draw attention to issues that
concern them and to circumvent traditional legal processes whilst putting pressure on the
government so as to not allow them to infringe upon their rights. This right allows those who are
vulnerable and powerless to express their concerns in the only way available to them in a way that
was disallowed during the Apartheid era and is therefore pivotal in the exercise of all other rights
afforded to the citizens of South Africa in the Constitution. The right to freedom of assembly only
applies when this assembly is peaceful, without weapons, destruction of property and violence and
therefore internally regulates itself by limiting its own scope. The act states that no participants of
a gathering may have any dangerous weapon in their possession; a dangerous weapon is defined as
any object that is not a firearm but

Freight Vs Scripture
FedEx Freight vs. Scripture: Putting people first.
FedEx Freight attempts to put people first by: Allowing the freedom to generate and express
ideas; through providing the ability to hold management accountable; and by encouraging
decision making capability (Hess Cameron, 2006, pp.29 54). These methods are encouraged
within job structures while simultaneously providing the necessary resources the employees need
to accomplish their assigned tasks. This process of putting people first is effective as long as it is a
top down approach. Leadership must show that these values are real by modeling a do as I do
attitude instead of do as I say.
The Scriptures certainly teach people to put others first (KJV, Matt 7:12, Luke 6:31), and it
encourages free thought within biblical parameters. FedEx is similar to the Bible methodology in
that it encourages people to help others and build relationships; however, there is one major
difference. All of the things that FedEx is attempting to do are things that upper management chose
to do. Upper management chose the culture they thought was best and then they have spent the next
several years forcing it on the entire organization. They failed to work as a cohesive unit and see
what the people. This forced acceptance happens in many organizations. ... Show more content on

Analysis Of The Book Rabban Jobanan B The Talmudic...
The Sources of the Story of Rabban Jobanan b. Zakkai The Talmudic tradition concerning the
episode of Rabban Jol;anan b. Zakkai and Vespasian is found (in its entirety) in five books,
namely: (1) Avot de R. Nathan, Version I, iv (Schechter, pp. 22 24); (i) Avot de R. Nathan, Version
II (Schechter, vi, p. 19); (3) Midrash Lamentations (pericope i, 31); (4) Babylonian Talmud(Giffin
56a b); ~J) Midrash Proverbs, xv (Buber 79 80). But it appears that the Haggada in Midrash
Proverbs was taken verbatim from Avot de R. Nathan, Version JI.60 Hence, when we consider the
differences between the divergent traditions regarding this episode, we have to speak of only four
sources. Although the primary theme of these sources is the episode of Rabban Jol)anan b. Zakkai,
yet they sometimes include certain elements that were not, it seems, originally mentioned in the
Academy in relation to this incident. For example, the conquest of Jerusalemis combined in the
Midrash with this story as a single narrative, but from the silence on the subject of the parallel
accounts it must apparently be inferred that this subject formed a separate narrative. Similarly the
burning of the stores in Avot de R. Nathan constitutes a chapter on its own, without any connection
with the tradition regarding Rabban Jol;anan, which in the other accounts is completely integrated
with his departure from Jerusalem.61 Nevertheless, it is desirable to collate all these references,
for we learn from the views of the Sages

Argumentative Essay On Nuclear Waste
A world filled with uncertainty is already a scary place to live. Murphy s law only makes that
uncertainty destined for disaster where anything can go wrong, will undoubtedly go wrong. The
United States has placed itself under the mercy of Murphy s law, not because of Trump s threats of
war with North Korea, but because it has no safe way of disposing of its nuclear waste. Radiation is
a silent killer; if exposed into the environment it could lead to genetic mutations, cancer, and if long
enough, premature death. Furthermore, radioactive material can work its way up from the
environment to animals, to humans up the food chain nowhere near the site of exposure. We have

That one percent of waste can be devastating to any ecosystem it is exposed to. Radiation is
invisible, it has no scent, it cannot be cleaned by soap, and it should be of concern as much as
any disease or virus. The scientific community unanimously agrees that exposure to high levels
of radiation is a health hazard. Many people feel unconcerned because they feel it s not a
relevant problem in their lives. However, there are over 71,000 tons of nuclear waste simple in
temporary storage at the U.S. s 104 nuclear reactors (Oliver). Nearly one out of three Americans
live within a 50 mile radius of a reactor filled with waste (Oliver). Still many are skeptical
remaining ignorant of the potential dangers of radiation exposure. The severity of the damage
to a person s heath due to radiation is based on how much radiation and how long they were
exposed to the amounts of radiation. The amount of radiation a person receives is measured in
rem and depending on that the health effects could range from no observable health effects, to
cancer, to even death (Effects of Radiation). Even a fraction of the amount of radiation to kill a
person could cause nausea, fatigue, vomiting, loss of appetite, loss of hair and abnormalities in
blood cells (Effects of Radiation). Nuclear waste from a typical fuel rod will still have 2,000 times
more rem than the required dosage to kill a person even after 10 years (USNRC). Clear examples

Lauren Banowsky The Hold Dance Analysis
In the hold by Lauren Banowsky, a contemporary dance incorporated with ballet techniques is
performed in a dark and spacious stage. The dance demonstrates the constant hold from one living
its life to the fullest potential due to dragging the past, with the urge to obtain freedom or a sense
of relief. The choreography being displayed by two female dancers consisted of a negative, intense
energy, constant moving towards the ground, and a dragging type of movement due to the stretchy
dress. Most of the dancemoves are considered characteristics of modern dancedue to the movements
towards the ground and dancing barefooted. Doris Humphreys technique of fall and recovery is a
perfect example to the coming of the ground intensively being presented... Show more content on

There was a repetition of the lyric, I been caught in fire which is meaningful to the dance because
the word fire in this dance can mean death, hell, or sadness. Based on the choreography and
costumes the lyrics helped understood the story line for the dance. The style of music chosen
complimented the choreographic intent of a melancholy type of movement upon the performance.
The music affected the dynamics of the dancer s movements because it allowed a more realistic
connection within the dancer. The music choice benefited the dance because the mini pauses
throughout the song allowed the dancer to structure the performance in a more impacting way. The
music style can be related to the Martha Graham and Doris Humphrey style of music for dancing
due to the pace of the music and the type of movements. In addition, the music would have been
more touching if it was sang by a female rather than a male to have more association with the
female dancers feelings. The music is a key element throughout the performance because it allowed
the dancers to dance to the rhythm of the melody and perform with confidence because of the
guidance from the music. Given these points, the rhythm, melody, and pauses the music brought to
the performance was prosperous for the choreographer, which brought a gloomy mood to the
audience with a unique type of music and

Movie Made America Analysis
Hugo and The Artist are two films that share one pronounced quality. The ability of the two
films to be so relatable simply to attract a greater audience has proved itself to be a great way in
obtaining a greater number of interested spectators. Robert Sklar notes an enlightening topic
within his book, Movie Made America: A Cultural History of American Movies, as he states, In
motion picture comedy, a medium close to popular moods and tastes, the pendulum in the early
years of Depression and sound swung back to the rough and tumble chaos of the Keystone style,
this tie in a highly verbal form with a more pointed anti bourgeois animus (120). Note, he is

Much like today, orphaned children without any immediate relatives to turn to seem to find
themselves trouble, whether it be intentionally or unintentionally. Hugo s issues were the
unintentional ends of that spectrum, as proven through the daunting thought of being exiled to a
children s home. His responsibility prevailed as he took over his uncle s job when he went off
on a drinking binge. Hugo s real persistence was prevalent in the scene where he followed
Isabelle home in effort to get his notebook back. His unbreakable bond with his father continued
on after his death and allowed Hugo an adventure of a lifetime and the opportunity to, despite
Hugo s various internal conflicts, ultimately find a home. This sheer fact, in my opinion, inspired
the audience, giving them hope and promise for a better life. This is why I mention the excerpt
from Sklar, noting people s tastes and preferences as being essential in how they respond to a film s
message. If filmmakers do not take into account the audience they are trying to please, the film has

A New Optimization Technique And The Foraging Strategy Of...

By sending the signal, it enables an individual bacterium to communicate with others. Healthy
bacteria will be reproduced and poor foraging bacteria will be eliminated. The bacteria will keep
repeating these processes in their lifetime.
In BFOA, each of the individual bacteria in the search space is representing an individual solution
to the optimization problem [6]. Each bacterium will undergo chemotactic steps to the direction of
minimum fitness function (rich in nutrients). During the taxis, each bacterium will communicate
with other to swarm in the group toward the global optimum. Bacteria will be evaluated again
according to their health and sorted in ascending order. Half of them with better health will be
reproduced by splitting into two and the other half of poor health bacteria will be eliminated from
the search space. In order to explore more space, some of the bacteria will be eliminated and
reinitialized randomly to explore unvisited space in order to find the global minimum or maximum
point. For better understanding, this algorithm mechanism will be explained in solving an
optimization problem.

various forms of business organizational structure is important to each business owner; before
beginning their business venture. The sole proprietor does not have to ask for anyone s

sole proprietorship offers autonomy and freedom from vicarious liability of co owners. In a sole

Rabies Virus ( Rv )
Introduction: Rabies virus (Rv) is a type species1 of the viral genus Lyssavirus from the
phylogenetic family Rhabdoviridae. The morphology pertaining to Lyssavirus consist of a spiked
viral envelop surrounding a protein matrix protein M2 and an inner ribonucleocapsid3 complex
containing the viral ribonucleic acid (RNA). The spiked appearance of the viral envelop is
secondary to the presence of glycoproteins that line its outer surface. Lyssavirus maintains both a
helical and a cubical symmetry, however, the cubic viral complex is most prevalent in mammals.
Throughout the course of history canines, both feral and domestic, have been the world s most
influential vector for the spread of rabies. Records dating back to the Babylonian era, 2300 B.C.,
detail civilian penalties for deaths caused by their dogs biting other civilians. In 100 A.D. the
Roman Empire, Greece and Crete fell victim to the rabies pandemic. It later spread through
Great Britain in 1026, and reached the Americas in 1703. The growing threat of the Rv
engendered an order to shoot all dogs on site around St. James, London in 1753. The canine
genocide did not cease the dissemination of the Rv. Dr. Emile Roux, MD, and Dr. Louis Pasteur,
PhD, isolated and studied the Rv in 1881. Understanding the mode of action of the Rv, Roux and

Examples Of Enjoyment Of Life
I personally disagree with the statement. I believe that there remains a widely held misconception
that the enjoyment of life must be accompanied by youth, vitality and energy. In order to
substantiate my arguments, I must insist on a more profound elucidation of what is meant by
enjoyment of life, in order to demonstrate how old people are actually more capable of succeeding
in these pursuits compared to young people.
Firstly, old people have the means to enjoy life more than young people do. Young adolescents,
teenagers, and perhaps young adults like myself rarely have the financial means to fulfill the
desires we wish to pursue the most. For example, it has been my entire lifelong dream to travel to

thesis by showing that McDonald s sale strategy is inducing customers to eat more than they

By knowing customer psychology which is getting the best deal in comparative pricing,
McDonald is welling to earn a little more from each customer. The company clearly is profit

60% of all US adults are overweight or obsess. (Dir. Morgan Spurlock, 2008) It shows that the

The Key Episodes That Established Leadership Among Israel
The key episodes that established leadership among Israel are the accounts of their tribulations
while in the wilderness and God s responses. Starting in Number Chapter 11 the Israelites are
beginning to complain about their misfortunes. It was not clear to scholars whether the Israelites
were complaining to Mosesor to God. Either way God herd their complaints and took it as if they
were toward him. In return to their complaints God burned against them . Then the fire of the
Lord burned against them. And consumed some outlying parts of the camp . Mosses then asked
God to cease the fire in prayer and God did. But the people cried out to Moses; and Moses prayed
to the Lord, and the fire abated .
Following the Israelites them complained again about not having the same food they once did
when they were in Egypt. The rabble among them had a strong craving; and the Israelites also
wept again, and said, If only we had some meat to eat! Then they reminisced about when they
were in Egypt and the variety of foods they had available. The manna was not sufficient for them.
The Lord then sent in great number quail to teach them a lesson. They had more meat not then
what they had asked for. The lesson was about greed. The Israelites already had food, they were
not going hungry. Instead of being grateful they chose to complain and that is why God sent the

Christianity In Beowulf
Beowulf is an exciting tale about a Scandinavian man named Beowulf, who saves the Danes from
an unconquerable monster called Grendel. It is not known who the author of Beowulf. It is
theorized that the book had more than one author over a period of time. Another theory is that
Beowulf only had one author and other writers changed or added content to the story. Beowulfhas
many Christian aspects. God is brought up many times throughout the book. The different monsters
also represent the different sins that humans commit almost daily. Grendelis envy and anger,
Grendel s mother is feuding, and the dragon is greed and hoarding. Beowulf was written in the time
when England was being converted to Christianityfrom paganism. Because of this, there are doubts
that the authors of Beowulf knew about God. Throughout the book, there are many indications that
the author(s) of Beowulf knew about God s existence. While it is doubted, they still praised God,
acknowledged that he... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When going through hardships, the characters thanked God when He helped them. On page
seventeen of the book, it reads the following: They thanked God for that easy crossing on a calm
sea . Hrothgar, the king, also declared that God had guided Beowulf to help defend them from
Grendel. After Beowulf defeated Grendel, Hrothgar was shown Grendel s talon as proof. The
king gazed upward and thanked God for making Grendel conquerable. Hrothgar also noted that
Beowulf defeated Grendel with God s assistance. When Grendel s mother attacked the Danes
after her son was killed, Hrothgar lost his hope and faith. Beowulf assured him that they would
catch Grendel s mother and avenge those who died in the attack. Reassured, Hrothgar praised God
for Beowulf s courage and his inspiring speech. Beowulf informed the king s men that if God had
not helped him, he would have died. With every victory, big or small, the characters never failed to

Secular And Christian Worldviews In Marketing Applications
Worldview Discovery Paper
According to Merriam Webster dictionary, worldview is a comprehensive conception or
apprehension of the world especially from a specific standpoint. This paper aims at comparing and
contrasting secular and Christian worldviews in marketing applications. Whereas the secular
worldview marketing simply look for ways to sell their products, Christian marketing does that
while delivering the good news of Christ through sincere service to each of their customers.
Dictionary.com defines a secular worldview as the conception of the world from a worldly
standpoint where mankind is the ultimate norm by which truth and values are measured. For
instance, in marketing secular marketers follow what seems to be right in their eyes to generate ...

Hence, they do not clearly have to state the conditions and terms of their products for them to be
sold since there is an incentive attached to the purchase of the product. Not only do many college
students lack in financial skills, they also do not have a good standing credit wise. Although this
strategy may work, it is obviously ignoring the fact that the companies are not clearly
communicating the value and terms of the product they are selling. Since these situations are
quite common among college students, new customers will fall into the same trap or the same
ones who already purchased their first product will come for more as they do not clearly
understand what they product entails. This is very opposed to what Proverbs 22:22 tells us as it
says Don t take advantage of the poor just because you can; don t take advantage of those who
stand helpless in court. Although this is right and profitable in the eyes of man, it is definitely
against God s will.
A Christian worldview according to dictionary.com is a comprehensive conception of the world
from a Christian standpoint. Marketing from a Christian standpoint elicits awareness, trial,

France Is A Country With A Long And Proud History
France
Jesse E. Oliver
13B30 Advanced Leader Course Class 503 17
France is a country with a long and proud history. Sitting in the heart of Europe France is a large
and influential country, the center of agriculture in Europe while also having a strong and diverse
industrial base. Historically The French Republic, as it is officially known, has been seen as
standard bearer of western secular liberalism, a stance that at times marks the French people as
targets for religious and secular extremists alike.
France lies near the western end of the great Eurasian landmass, largely between latitudes 42В° and
51В° N. Roughly hexagonal in outline, its continental territory is bordered on the northeast by

America. French investors have historically preferred to invest in the fields of chemicals,
electronics, and engineering, focusing on investments to improve urban lifestyles. Trade is also an
important part of the French GDP accounting for a fifth of the GDP is primarily grain and other
agricultural concerns. (https://www.britannica.com)
With the shift to what the French consider to be more advanced pursuits there has been a dramatic
drop in mining and smelting across the country. A country poor in mineral resources, France now
relies primarily on importing to meet their energy demands with the exception of Uranium which
the French still mine. Most of these power plants are located in the RhГґne and Loire valleys, a
reflection of the need for large quantities of cooling water. More than three fourths of electricity in
France is produced in nuclear plants, the highest proportion in the world. (https:/

The Invention Of Black Holes
Black Holes:
Introduction:
Without knowing the existence of black holes, we would still be stuck with many unanswered
questions concerning physics. The most important one would deal with the correctness of Einstein
s general relativity. When studying cosmology, various equations are used in order to explain the
different phenomena that it contains, which are derived from general relativity. With this theory
confirmed, all calculations appear more certain and confident. These objects are fairly important as
they are one of the least understood by humans because they depict laws of physics that appear
completely different from elsewhere in the universe, but, with study, can be more understood. Being
completely invisible, it becomes very difficult to observe and study them. However, astronomers
continue to develop different methods to do so. The question that remains is: What exactly is a
black hole? How do they work and abide to the laws of physics? Simple answer, black holes are
regions in space containing gravitational fields so strong that even light cannot escape them. As a
result, they absorb anything that comes close and becomes trapped by its grip. Black holes come
in various forms and sizes, which work differently depending on their properties. These properties,
such as mass, charge and angular momentum, help in defining black holes and it is using this that
it is possible to derive the math to understand them.
History of Black holes:

Roger s Theory Of Unitary-Transformative Nursing
Roger s theory of the Unitary individual is however I feel nursing ought to be practiced. Nurses
ought to read the person as an entire and not as a machine. analyse delineated the simultaneousness

of them is that the Unitary transformative paradigm is analogous to Parse s simultaneousness
theory. The unitary transformative theory describes humans as burled, self organizing fields at
intervals the larger burled, self organizing fields. Applying the Unitary Transformative Nursing
theory in an exceedingly clinical setting would require American state to look at not solely what s
visible and obvious, however additionally that that is obscure as influences within the entire setting.
An exploration of my very own thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors is important so as to try

I don t think that I need to have an extensive sales force in order to be successful. I think the
biggest decision that I made in 2015 Q2 was increasing the large customer discounts for
segments B and D from 12% discount up to 14% discount. I noticed that last quarter both of
these segments expressed their concern that they were not getting the additional discounts that
they should for being such long time customers. The results of my decisions that were made in
2015 Q2 turned out to be better than last quarter results. Existing customers increased by 9% and
sales from new customers increased by 6%, while the distributors, on average, are attempting to
achieve a 5% profit margin; overall not a bad turnover from prior quarters. These decisions led
to segment A as being very satisfied reflecting how the motors high power to size ratio allowed
them to pick up some new business from some loyal customers. Segment B was satisfied in this
quarter like they have been in previous quarters, however they expressed their concern on future
orders that they would like to receive more insight into the market trends by our staff. Segment C
increased their overall satisfaction from prior quarters of being satisfied to very satisfied in this
quarter. By getting the motors that they ordered to them in a rush, allowed them to land a contract

It s a black wall. It s a thief Dave Grohl. In the play, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Shakespeare shows how guilt can cause terrible consequences. The Tragedy of Macbeth is a story about a Scottish general, Macbeth, who receives a prophecy from a group of witches that one day he will be the King of Scotland. Intrigued by the news, Macbeth is willing to do anything it takes to be King. Manipulated by his wife, Macbeth then ends up murdering the King and takes the throne for himself. But after contemplating on the repulsive act that he had just done, all Macbeth is left with is a loss of words and a heart full of guilt all because of his wife. In the play, Shakespeare uses a huge variety of imagery to show how some mistake may cost you your life. In the play, Shakespeare uses sleep imagery to show how guilt is one of the worst feeling in the world. People say that guilt is just an emotion that ll go away in seconds, but others think that guilt is the worst thing to encounter. For example, after Lady Macbeth manages to convince Macbeth to kill the King, he is then entered into an emotional stage of guilt. Dudley Edwards in the 1950s, stated it was but a period of greater misery in a prolonged age of suffering . Around some 3.3 million people were completely dependent on the potato for survival while almost near up to 4.7 million relied on the root as the main item in their diet. Historian James Donnelly, junior, believes, It was above all the poverty of such a large segment of the Irish population that made the Great Famine so destructive of human life . In 1845 a disease reached Ireland from continental Europe via England. Between 1846 and 1849 the Irish potato crop failed three seasons out of four. By 1849 the worst was over. But the distressing nightmare of those 6 years 1845‐51 had created radical and long term changes on the Irish society. The greatest change was the decline of the population and this was due to deaths from hunger and disease and emigration. The famine was a watershed in the history of Ireland. Its effects permanently changed Ireland s demographic, political, cultural and religious landscapes. The Famine was observed as an important period for religious life, because it saw all the churches face challenges to their spiritual authority, or their status. Religious leaders and the churches were under increasing pressure for its ideas, its education and its cultural activities. In spite of all this there was an increase in religious dedication, and this is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The change of currency went through early colonial period, colonial period, Antebellum period, Civil War period and the Reconstruction period to finally establish what we now know as American Currency. The separation of our country did not represent unity or form for America. The American currency did not have an identity until the National Banking Act of 1863, established the dollaras the currency of choice. The currency that was used in most English colonies during the 1600s was coins. The Colonists of that time would count their money based on the English system that consisted of shillings, pounds, and pence that was valued as; twelve pence equaled a shilling and twelve shillings equaled a pound (Walbert, David). The pence were also recognized to be a penny. The currency varied in each region and some would only accept trade and not pence or schillings. One of the most common identities of currency later became the Spanish dollar. After so many people had the dollars they become less in value and caused inflation to the country and a new type of currency needed to be established for the country. SchillerВґs Aesthetic Philosophy of Human Nature Schiller takes the position that his age is lacking something, meaning that it is missing a certain something that is essential for all human beings. In other words, the part is missing the whole . Friedrich Schiller on the Sixth Letter of his text On the Aesthetic Education of Man in a Series of Letters gives an example of a culture, which was not wanting. This culture, the Hellenic Greeks, seemed to manage a perfect balance between art and wisdom, and their connection to nature, for they realized art and wisdom were not something of their own that detached them from nature, but that they were the road itself, which one had to take to find his way towards nature. Schiller states this differently. For they were wedded [the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Schiller asserts that beauty is an aesthetic unity of thought and feeling, of reason and emotion. It Is by the attainment of this unity that Schiller believes enables human nature to be realized and fulfilled. That Beauty may lead to truth, meaning one can become the ideal through joining the logical and the emotional. However, when truth is perceived, feeling may follow thought, or thought may follow feeling.(189) When beauty is understood, thought is unified with feeling. He states the need for this unity much beautifully than just a philosopher could The reality of things is the work of the things; the appearance of things is the work of man and a nature which delights in appearance no longer takes pleasure in what it receives, but in what it does (125). At first, the second half did not make much sense, but upon reflection one may see that Schiller is saying we should not just revel in what the senses take in, but use our reason to look deeper, beyond the surface. Schiller however does not believe this is a realistic goal or even an attainable one, as we discussed in class. Schiller needs to make some sort of distinction between the potential Man and the goal of Man, as a manifestation or visualization of that potential or archetype. The impossibility of ever attaining the ideal calls for the identification of potential and goal, which shows that they cancel each other out: unrealizable potential is not, ... The defenses the Japanese built on Iwo Jima was like none ever expected. They made what looked like an underground city with an extensive series of underground tunnels, James Bradley explains. This defense is what made Iwo Jima the bloodiest and most costly battle of the war in terms of lives lost and injuries. James Bradley describes how he found people to give interviews to describe the events of the first awful days of battle for the Marines at Iwo Jima. To let the reader know just how bad D day was, James puts in these statistics: 566 men were killed, 1,755 wounded, and 99 suffered combat fatigue, which allowed the story to come alive. The local government is closer and highly responsive to citizens than the state and the federal government. They provide water, public education, and other services. Over the years, Texas is rapidly becoming more diverse which creates a greater demand for more representation in the local government. The top five cities have diverse city councils. It does make a difference when a city s council does not reflect the city s population. San Antonio s city council best reflects the racial /ethnic composition of its population. Sadly, Houston s council diverges the most from its city s racial/ethnic composition. They have five members of the council who are white, but the largest race in their population are Latinos (Champagne, Harpham, Casellas 339). • 23. The Right To Freedom Of Freedom The freedom of assembly and demonstration is pivotal to a democratic society due to the fact that peaceful protest allows citizens to participate in democracy by being active in governmental affairs through voicing their grievances and opinions in a peaceful manner. The right to freedom of assembly guarantees the possibility of peaceful protestwithout government interference and allows those protesting safety and security and also allows those protesting to make use of their right to freedom of expression. The act of peaceful protest allows citizens to make their voices heard when they usually would not be, for citizens to raise and draw attention to issues that concern them and to circumvent traditional legal processes whilst putting pressure on the government so as to not allow them to infringe upon their rights. This right allows those who are vulnerable and powerless to express their concerns in the only way available to them in a way that was disallowed during the Apartheid era and is therefore pivotal in the exercise of all other rights afforded to the citizens of South Africa in the Constitution. The right to freedom of assembly only applies when this assembly is peaceful, without weapons, destruction of property and violence and therefore internally regulates itself by limiting its own scope. FedEx Freight attempts to put people first by: Allowing the freedom to generate and express ideas; through providing the ability to hold management accountable; and by encouraging decision making capability (Hess Cameron, 2006, pp.29 54). These methods are encouraged within job structures while simultaneously providing the necessary resources the employees need to accomplish their assigned tasks. This process of putting people first is effective as long as it is a top down approach. Leadership must show that these values are real by modeling a do as I do attitude instead of do as I say. The Scriptures certainly teach people to put others first (KJV, Matt 7:12, Luke 6:31), and it encourages free thought within biblical parameters. FedEx is similar to the Bible methodology in that it encourages people to help others and build relationships; however, there is one major difference. All of the things that FedEx is attempting to do are things that upper management chose to do. • 25. Analysis Of The Book Rabban Jobanan B The Talmudic... The Sources of the Story of Rabban Jobanan b. Zakkai The Talmudic tradition concerning the episode of Rabban Jol;anan b. Zakkai and Vespasian is found (in its entirety) in five books, namely: (1) Avot de R. Nathan, Version I, iv (Schechter, pp. 22 24); (i) Avot de R. Nathan, Version II (Schechter, vi, p. 19); (3) Midrash Lamentations (pericope i, 31); (4) Babylonian Talmud(Giffin 56a b); ~J) Midrash Proverbs, xv (Buber 79 80). But it appears that the Haggada in Midrash Proverbs was taken verbatim from Avot de R. Nathan, Version JI.60 Hence, when we consider the differences between the divergent traditions regarding this episode, we have to speak of only four sources. Although the primary theme of these sources is the episode of Rabban Jol)anan b. Zakkai, yet they sometimes include certain elements that were not, it seems, originally mentioned in the Academy in relation to this incident. For example, the conquest of Jerusalemis combined in the Midrash with this story as a single narrative, but from the silence on the subject of the parallel accounts it must apparently be inferred that this subject formed a separate narrative. Similarly the burning of the stores in Avot de R. Nathan constitutes a chapter on its own, without any connection with the tradition regarding Rabban Jol;anan, which in the other accounts is completely integrated with his departure from Jerusalem.61 Nevertheless, it is desirable to collate all these references, for we learn from the views of the Sages ... However, there are over 71,000 tons of nuclear waste simple in temporary storage at the U.S. s 104 nuclear reactors (Oliver). Nearly one out of three Americans live within a 50 mile radius of a reactor filled with waste (Oliver). Still many are skeptical remaining ignorant of the potential dangers of radiation exposure. The dance demonstrates the constant hold from one living its life to the fullest potential due to dragging the past, with the urge to obtain freedom or a sense of relief. The choreography being displayed by two female dancers consisted of a negative, intense energy, constant moving towards the ground, and a dragging type of movement due to the stretchy dress. There was a repetition of the lyric, I been caught in fire which is meaningful to the dance because the word fire in this dance can mean death, hell, or sadness. Based on the choreography and costumes the lyrics helped understood the story line for the dance. The style of music chosen complimented the choreographic intent of a melancholy type of movement upon the performance. The music affected the dynamics of the dancer s movements because it allowed a more realistic connection within the dancer. The music choice benefited the dance because the mini pauses throughout the song allowed the dancer to structure the performance in a more impacting way. The music style can be related to the Martha Graham and Doris Humphrey style of music for dancing due to the pace of the music and the type of movements. In addition, the music would have been more touching if it was sang by a female rather than a male to have more association with the female dancers feelings. The music is a key element throughout the performance because it allowed the dancers to dance to the rhythm of the melody and perform with confidence because of the guidance from the music. Hugo s real persistence was prevalent in the scene where he followed Isabelle home in effort to get his notebook back. His unbreakable bond with his father continued on after his death and allowed Hugo an adventure of a lifetime and the opportunity to, despite Hugo s various internal conflicts, ultimately find a home. Each bacterium will undergo chemotactic steps to the direction of minimum fitness function (rich in nutrients). During the taxis, each bacterium will communicate with other to swarm in the group toward the global optimum. Bacteria will be evaluated again according to their health and sorted in ascending order. Half of them with better health will be reproduced by splitting into two and the other half of poor health bacteria will be eliminated from the search space. The morphology pertaining to Lyssavirus consist of a spiked viral envelop surrounding a protein matrix protein M2 and an inner ribonucleocapsid3 complex containing the viral ribonucleic acid (RNA). The spiked appearance of the viral envelop is secondary to the presence of glycoproteins that line its outer surface. Lyssavirus maintains both a helical and a cubical symmetry, however, the cubic viral complex is most prevalent in mammals. Throughout the course of history canines, both feral and domestic, have been the world s most influential vector for the spread of rabies. Records dating back to the Babylonian era, 2300 B.C., detail civilian penalties for deaths caused by their dogs biting other civilians. In 100 A.D. the Roman Empire, Greece and Crete fell victim to the rabies pandemic. It later spread through Great Britain in 1026, and reached the Americas in 1703. The growing threat of the Rv engendered an order to shoot all dogs on site around St. James, London in 1753. The canine genocide did not cease the dissemination of the Rv. Dr. Emile Roux, MD, and Dr. Louis Pasteur, PhD, isolated and studied the Rv in 1881. Although this strategy may work, it is obviously ignoring the fact that the companies are not clearly communicating the value and terms of the product they are selling. Since these situations are quite common among college students, new customers will fall into the same trap or the same ones who already purchased their first product will come for more as they do not clearly understand what they product entails. • 42. The Invention Of Black Holes Black Holes: Introduction: Without knowing the existence of black holes, we would still be stuck with many unanswered questions concerning physics. The most important one would deal with the correctness of Einstein s general relativity. When studying cosmology, various equations are used in order to explain the different phenomena that it contains, which are derived from general relativity. With this theory confirmed, all calculations appear more certain and confident. These objects are fairly important as they are one of the least understood by humans because they depict laws of physics that appear completely different from elsewhere in the universe, but, with study, can be more understood. Being completely invisible, it becomes very difficult to observe and study them. However, astronomers continue to develop different methods to do so. The question that remains is: What exactly is a black hole? How do they work and abide to the laws of physics? Simple answer, black holes are regions in space containing gravitational fields so strong that even light cannot escape them. As a result, they absorb anything that comes close and becomes trapped by its grip. Black holes come in various forms and sizes, which work differently depending on their properties. These properties, such as mass, charge and angular momentum, help in defining black holes and it is using this that it is possible to derive the math to understand them. I think the biggest decision that I made in 2015 Q2 was increasing the large customer discounts for segments B and D from 12% discount up to 14% discount. I noticed that last quarter both of these segments expressed their concern that they were not getting the additional discounts that they should for being such long time customers. Existing customers increased by 9% and sales from new customers increased by 6%, while the distributors, on average, are attempting to achieve a 5% profit margin; overall not a bad turnover from prior quarters. These decisions led to segment A as being very satisfied reflecting how the motors high power to size ratio allowed them to pick up some new business from some loyal customers.
