STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
1.What is the profile of the respondent in terms of
1.1 gender
1.2 grades
1.3 strand
2.What are the factors that influence students career choices?
3.What is the implication of the study on the school’s Guidance
& Counseling Program?
MAJOR FINDINGS
1.Because of friends

Yung mga kaklase ko nung grade 10 ,sila kasi ung mga
sinundan ko wala kasi akong ibang kilala sa ibang
strand kaya naman ginaya ko na lang sila.(My
classmates were in Grade 10, I followed them because I
don’t know anyone in other strands that’s why I took it
too. )

Ahm.. kasi nung grade 10 ako ang dapat talaga na
kukuhanin ko yung ICT tapos sinabihan ako nung
classmate ko na mag electronics nalang daw kami
kaya ayun yung kinuha namin.(Ahm..because
when I was in grade 10 ,I should really get the ICT
and my classmate told me that we should took
electronics, so we took it.)
2.Right Choice

Wala naman ok lang naman wala naman na
kaka imluwensya sa stand ko kasi tama naman
kinuha ko.( Nothing,it’s okay, I did not have
any influence on my strand because I took it
right.)
3.They see what’s in that strand that’s
they choose it.

Dahil sa nakikita ko yung mga magtatahi na
ang gagaling nila at ang ganda ng gawa
nila.(Because I see those tuners they are good
and their work is beautiful.)

Mga damit na nakikita ko, pwede ko itong
gawing kabuhayan kapag marunong na
akong mag tahi ng kahit anong mga damit o
mga style ng damit.(The clothes that I see,I
can make a business when I have enough
knowledge of any dress or style of dress.)
PATH
We used this symbol
because we need to help young people
choose a course or strand at grade 11 so
they will not be able to attract people
around them and not to encourage their
friends to choose what he doesn’t
want.Which path will the student go.
CONCLUSION
It should not choose a strand just because
your friends are there and there are also
parents who guide in choosing the right
career .The TechVoc Senior High students
really need to think about what to choose and
they also need to think about what will
happen when they choose this strand.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1.Parents needs to guide their children and talk about what strand will they
choose don’t pressure them to much
2.Teachers encourage them to pick the strand that they really want
3.Studentsthey should think positive on the problems, find some solutions to
the problems so they can pick a strand
4.Further Research employing both qualitative and quantitative method is
encouraged to explore variables not covered by the present research.In this
way,the results will be more comprehensive and could either validate or negate the
findings.

  • 3. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM 1.What is the profile of the respondent in terms of 1.1 gender 1.2 grades 1.3 strand 2.What are the factors that influence students career choices? 3.What is the implication of the study on the school’s Guidance & Counseling Program?
  • 4. MAJOR FINDINGS 1.Because of friends TechVoc student #1 Yung mga kaklase ko nung grade 10 ,sila kasi ung mga sinundan ko wala kasi akong ibang kilala sa ibang strand kaya naman ginaya ko na lang sila.(My classmates were in Grade 10, I followed them because I don’t know anyone in other strands that’s why I took it too. )
  • 5. TechVoc student #2 Ahm.. kasi nung grade 10 ako ang dapat talaga na kukuhanin ko yung ICT tapos sinabihan ako nung classmate ko na mag electronics nalang daw kami kaya ayun yung kinuha namin.(Ahm..because when I was in grade 10 ,I should really get the ICT and my classmate told me that we should took electronics, so we took it.)
  • 6. 2.Right Choice TechVoc student #1 Wala naman ok lang naman wala naman na kaka imluwensya sa stand ko kasi tama naman kinuha ko.( Nothing,it’s okay, I did not have any influence on my strand because I took it right.)
  • 7. 3.They see what’s in that strand that’s they choose it. TechVoc student #1 Dahil sa nakikita ko yung mga magtatahi na ang gagaling nila at ang ganda ng gawa nila.(Because I see those tuners they are good and their work is beautiful.)
  • 8. TechVoc student #2 Mga damit na nakikita ko, pwede ko itong gawing kabuhayan kapag marunong na akong mag tahi ng kahit anong mga damit o mga style ng damit.(The clothes that I see,I can make a business when I have enough knowledge of any dress or style of dress.)
  • 9. PATH We used this symbol because we need to help young people choose a course or strand at grade 11 so they will not be able to attract people around them and not to encourage their friends to choose what he doesn’t want.Which path will the student go.
  • 10. CONCLUSION It should not choose a strand just because your friends are there and there are also parents who guide in choosing the right career .The TechVoc Senior High students really need to think about what to choose and they also need to think about what will happen when they choose this strand.
  • 11. RECOMMENDATIONS 1.Parents needs to guide their children and talk about what strand will they choose don’t pressure them to much 2.Teachers encourage them to pick the strand that they really want 3.Studentsthey should think positive on the problems, find some solutions to the problems so they can pick a strand 4.Further Research employing both qualitative and quantitative method is encouraged to explore variables not covered by the present research.In this way,the results will be more comprehensive and could either validate or negate the findings.
