This document provides a brief history of Facebook pages from 2009 to 2012 in 3 sentences: Facebook first introduced pages for brands in 2009 which displayed tabs at the top for high visibility. In 2010, apps tabs were pushed to the left and a stronger focus was placed on user input and interaction. From 2011 to 2012, pages saw a focus on profile images, about sections, pinned posts, highlighting important apps and events, adapting tab content to be 810px wide, and removing "fangates".
