The document investigates the effect of an Al2O3+40%TiO2 coating applied via low velocity oxy fuel (LVOF) process on the oxidation and hot corrosion resistance of boiler steel SA-192 at elevated temperatures of 850°C and 950°C. It concludes that the coating significantly improves resistance, showing approximately 90% and 92% enhancement in oxidation and hot corrosion performance, respectively, compared to uncoated steel, which exhibited poor resistance and spallation under harsh conditions. The study highlights the necessity of protective coatings to mitigate degradation in high-temperature applications.
