INTRODUCTION
• Herbal medicines are those with active
ingredients made from plant parts, such as
leaves, roots or flowers.

Herbal Knowledge
• Traditional knowledge is key as it hosts
the knowhow and skills in identification
and extraction of the medicinal herbs.

• Herbal plants are part of our forests.
• Do they take part in climate action?
• There is need to conserve and use
wisely the medicinal resources that
are available within our forest
ecosystem.
