This document discusses using the learning management system Sakai to promote ongoing reflection and communication between classroom sessions. It describes modeling cycles where students update models based on course readings, reflect on models and readings, and provide feedback to peers. Twitter and blogs are suggested for extending discussions. A collaborative dictionary activity and cross-class consulting projects are presented as ways to apply course concepts to other contexts. Finally, arranging Sakai to support the overall activity system of the course is discussed.
