This document outlines the final course project assignment for a portrait or self-portrait class. The assignment is to create a portrait of someone you know using any media. It should convey something personal about the subject and show the effort and care taken to portray them. Suggestions are given such as using warm-up sketches, different styles like chiaroscuro, or portraying someone in a positive light if they are in frail health. Examples of previous students' works are also listed.
