The Acadian forest in Canada takes up 12.1 million hectares, and can be
distinguished from other parts of Canadian forests by its location in the lowlands
and deep valleys and by its mixed hardwood and softwood composition. The
position of these trees in deep valleys isolates them from other forests, and limits
their ability to further naturally spread their population geographically, and causes
them to be more significantly impacted by disturbances. The Acadian forest region
covers the Canadian provinces of Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New
Brunswick, with a rich diversity of plant and animal species consisting of many
shade tolerant trees and lichens. Yet these shade tolerant trees are slowly
transitioning into small seedlings as logging practices abolish old trees. The old
growth hardwood population in specific provides critical habitats for animal species
though these trees are declining in numbers due to extensive logging. With the
declining old growth trees, the number of critical habitats will also decline and
animal species will most likely die out. These regions are affected by climate change
at the same time, which increases the vulnerability of Acadian biodiversity.

There are places where there are long, flowing strings accomanying short bursts
from the brass secion, and others where instruments solos fill up all available
space. There are also places where fast trills acompany the melody, or even make
up the melody. My point is this piece doesn t limit it self at all. For much of this
piece, i feel as though i am up somewhere high in the mountains, so i would
describe the timbre as airy because of that. That being said, there are other places in
the piece where airy is far from my mind, such as around 31:20, which is much
darker and buzzy. The form for this piece was very hard for me to narrow down.

пїјA fine grained Indoor Localization using Multidimensional WiFi Fingerprinting
Abstract Although fingerprint based localization is promising for indoor
applications, its accuracy remains a huge challenge. Most existing approaches
depends on the Radio Signal Strength (RSS) to generate fingerprints. Merely using
RSS is unable to accurately localize since such an one dimensional fingerprint is
serious influenced by the interference and multipath effect in the indoor environment.
In this paper, we propose a new localization approach based on multidimensional WiFi
fingerprint. Instead of using RSS only, we employ RSS, transmitted power, and
channel information to construct fingerprints. The extension of fingerprints enables
fine grained localization and tracking services. We also deign a cosine similarity
based matching algorithm and enhanced particle filter mechanism to realize the
localization and tracking. Extensive experiment and implementation results show that
using the new fingerprint can achieve an accuracy within 2m in 90% testing points,
with good adaptability to complex indoor environments.

Harper Lee s story title includes the word ВЁmockingbirdВЁ. The mockingbird is a
sign of symbolism in the story. The mockingbird represents innocence. Tom Robinson
and Boo Radley (the mysterious neighbor) are the ВЁmockingbirds in this story.
Atticus is a hero in To Kill a Mockingbirdfor his bravery and showing of equality.
Atticus put all of his effort in Tom Robinson s trial although he knew that there
was no chance of winning. Atticus told his son Jem, I wanted you to see what real
courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand.
It s when you know you re licked before you begin anyway and you see it through
no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do. Atticus was talking to Jem
about Mrs. Dubose because Jem had read to her everyday before she passed away.
Atticus explained to Jem what real courage was and the topic shifted to the court case
with Tom Robinson. Atticus knows there is no chance of winning, but he still tried

Compare And Contrast Thyroid And Hypothyroidism
There are many different types of thyroid diseases. The two I would like to discuss
are hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. These two thyroid diseases have a few
similarities and many differences.
Hyperthyroidism is known as an overactive thyroid which occurs when the thyroid
gland overproduces thyroid hormones causing the body s natural functions to
accelerate (University Michigan, N.D.). On the contrary, hypothyroidism is known as
an underactive thyroid which occurs when the thyroid gland is not producing enough
thyroid hormone which leads to the body s natural functions slowing down.
Hypothyroidism is more common, affecting five to twenty percent of people in the

The symptoms of hypothyroidism include weight gain, coarse, dry hair, hair loss,
cold intolerance, constipation, irritability, memory loss, abnormal menstrual cycle,
and decreased libido (University Michigan, N.D.). The symptoms of hyperthyroidism
include hand tremors, mood swings, nervousness, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, irregular
heartbeat, skin dryness, trouble sleeping, and weight loss. Fatigue and muscle
weakness are some symptoms of both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.
The process for diagnosing hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism is exactly the same
which includes laboratory test, thyroid scan, and radioactive iodine uptake test. The
laboratory test for diagnosing both are thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) test and
thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin (TSI) test (University Michigan, N.D.).
Treatment for both diseases is remarkably different. Hyperthyroidism treatment
consists of radioactive iodine, antithyroid medication and sometimes a beta blocker to
alleviate symptoms (Milas, 2014). There are two antithyroid medications available in
the United States methimazole, also known as Tapazole, and propylthiouracil.
Tapazole and propylthiouracil both stop the thyroid from producing T3 and T4
