(Dyer, 2011) This is something I believe is important to this company being successful and
continuing to do so today. I believe Nayar possessed both Discovery and Delivery skills as, he
was able to come into a company that was established and basically start anew, as time progressed
he was able to keep the organization going using a combination of his Discovery and Delivery skill
sets. The results: There was a part of the article that dealt with the ongoing business where delivery
skills are most commonly used, just conduct business however, the global economy dictated they
continue to innovate. When the global downturn began, They began innovation discussions again by
revisiting Point A. "Rather than engage in layoffs or restructuring, I asked employees for ways to
help us get through the bad times. They offered many suggestions. Some of them related to cost
cutting, but most of them focused on how to increase revenues". (Nayar, 2010)This was an
ongoing use of Discovery Skill # 1,(Associating) forever canvassing and spreading innovation
through questioning and the sharing of ideas. Nayar was very successful beginning in 2005 with net
revenues of 764,000,000 by 2009 HCL had changed its business

4. The 1893 World’s Fair Essay
The 1893 World's Fair
A World's Fair is an "[I]nternational exposition that features exhibits dealing with commerce,
industry, and science." (World Book Encyclopedia 412) Entertainment is also present along with
cultural activities. In 1893, the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, although inaugurated a
year late, commemorated the discovery of America. I feel that the Exposition displayed some of the
more beautiful architecture of its time; its immense buildings and sculptures drew heavily from
Greek and other classical styles, and it could possible be because of the sweeping popularity in Beaux
Arts architecture.
The Peristyle, one of the buildings that was constructed for the Fair, was designed by Charles B.
Atwood. It...show more content...
Post, in the Corinthian style. The Manufactures Building measures 787' in width and stretched in
length of 16897'." (Burg 132) "Carl Conduit has judged that "The manufactures Building revealed the
most extensive and elaborate system of hinged–arched framing ever undertaken in the United
States."" (Burg 97) The arches that are involved were not seen until the Roman's dominated in the
field of architecture.
Another building that was constructed for the fair was the Agricultural Building. "In keeping with
the custom of its famous designers, the building was in classical style with the noteworthy feature of
a sixty–four foot wide entrance flanked by mammoth Corinthian columns fifty feet high and five in
diameter." (Burg 128) In the middle of the building there was a large dome; the Romans were the
first to create and use domes. Both Greek and Roman ideas were incorporated into this building.
(Charles B. Atwood had designed the Palace of the Arts in a Greek–Ionic style, with the addition of
the dome. (Burg 147) Van Rensselaer stated, "It is the finest thing on the Fairgrounds, and the finest
building of so classical a sort which the modern world has constructed. It is not just like any
building which classical nations themselves constructed; it is much larger and more varied in mass,
and its dome is a distinct innovation. But we feel it just such a building as the Greeks might have
built had they known about domes and had they wanted

5. Exhibition Reflection
I feel that my Exhibition this term was a lot better than my last. I was able to do a lot more things
I wanted to do and got into more depth with the topics I talked about. I was able to engage my
audience even more with the activity which I would say was a better improvement than last
exhibition. In my Exhibition I felt that I did really well with my volume and how I talked. I was
able to talk a lot more in depth and showed my progress in my topics which I would say I
improved a lot in. Another strength I would say is how I was able to interact more with my
audience and show what I learned in a more interactive way. Rather than me just talking in front of
my audience for 15 minutes about dirt. Some things I wasn't prepared for was how...show more

I will be able to do this by finishing my exhibition early so I have time to practice and practice. I also
want to procrastinate less when I'm making my exhibition, so my plan to achieve this is by
making a day planner. Where it'll have a specific time and what I have to achieve by then, which
will actually help me be more organized with myself. Another challenge I'd like to do is to
continue to try and make more activities so I'm able to present a more engaging exhibition just like
this one. Just so my exhibition doesn't end up being boring but even more engaging for my
audience, just so they have something to do rather than me just talking. I'd say that from my Term 1
Exhibition to now, I was able to improve a lot more in those areas I said in my term 1 reflection. I
was able to manage well better now compared to both my first and second exhibitions, this
exhibition I was able to finish a week before. Which has given me time to rehearse what I wanted
to say and even add on new things. I was also able to engage my audience a lot due to the activity
with the soil. Which I'm pretty sure my audience actually enjoyed quite a lot. According to my
first exhibition, I wanted to improve more on how I talked and I think I got a lot better in that too
as well. As I think I'm able to talk more clearer now than when I first started. Some challenges I'd
say that I'm still facing is just the procrastination part. Even though I have been able to improve a lot
