I am here
Ever since I was a young kid I have always been interested in movies. My grandma, who was full
of the wise the life experience left, always knew about my interest in movies. She feed my vain for
the art. Even though her religion, she professed Adventist of seven–day religion, didn't let her go to
the cinema, she always found the way to took me to the cinema. She and I enjoyed watch movies.
We used to sit in the darkness room, with our faces illuminated from the reflection of the light
which rebooted from the screen, both absorbs in the plot of the movie which made us laughed or

I never stop thinking about being a film director. All these elements have given me a very broad
outlook, with varying degrees of knowledge in a range of topics. I strongly believe that although
some are not related directly, all these qualities will influence my graduate work.
When the opportunity showed up I took it. I came to New York City to study film. But I have to
start from the beginning. The first year I prepared to get my GED. In October 2001 I took the
examination and I passed it. Now, the second step, how can I do to pay a college or a university?
I started to work and I took editing courses in the School of Visual Art and NYU. I bought a
digital camera and I learned how to used it. I started to work making digital videos for parties and
events. I earned enough money to start my career. The CUNY advisor sent me to HOSTOS
Community College because he told me that it would be easier for me to study there. Even though
the major that I was interested in, wasn't in HOSTOS curriculum, I accepted but with the idea in my
mind to changed to the college where film major was imparted.
After three semesters in HOSTOS I transferred to Brooklyn College and I enrolled in the film

2. FFA Scholarship Essay
I have worked on my family farm ever since I was fourteen years old. This is where I have gained
my love of agriculture. My responsibilities include taking care of my show calves, working cattle,
helping with harvesting and planting, and assisting my father with any other needs around the farm.
The experiences I have gained through working on my family's farm will help lead me through the
rest of my life. I have been very involved in my school these last four years. I have served on
student council for three years and currently student council secretary. I have been a class officer for
two years. FFA is an organization that has been really important to me throughout myhigh school
career. In FFA, I have been the chapter president and secretary. I've had the chance to be on the
Iowa FFA Program of Activities Committee. I have also received all of the possible degrees at the

I see myself going in many different directions, but how I get there is pretty clear. I am going to
Iowa State University and major in Agricultural Business for the first four years after high school. I
plan to maintain my high marks in college as I did in high school. During college I hope to take on
internships at businesses that I may have a possible career at. One of my main goals when
looking for a career after college is to find a job that is both challenging and allows me to make
the biggest impact on agriculture I am capable of. It is important to me to do something that I love
because that is how I know I will reach my greatest potential. While I may not know what the
future holds for me and my career, I do know that I will be making positive influence on the world
of agriculture and the lives around
