The researcher tries to find whether the strategies used in the university to teach
English are actually working or not.
Participants:
148 students (87 male, 58 female, 3 unknown)
Instrument:
The TOEFL exam to measure student’s knowledge in English.
At the beginning the students were tested. Then the whole sample was divided in
groups and taught English with a different strategy.
At the end the group was tested again to find out which teaching strategy
produced the best results. These results were shown through graphics.
The researcher always had the control of the variables and the sample. That is why
we can say this is an experimental research.
