BATTERY REPLACEMENT To replace the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) trans- mitter batteries, separate the transmitter case halves at the center seam by prying gently with a trim stick, or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool. The case snaps open and shut. Replace the two batteries with new Duracell DL2016, or their equivalent. Be certain that the bat- teries are installed with their polarity correctly ori- ented. Then, align the two transmitter case halves with each other, and squeeze them firmly together until they snap back into place. (6) Unplug one wire harness connector near the push button module towards the front of the over- head console. (7) Unplug one wire harness connector from the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) receiver near the center of the overhead console.
