4. THEPROBLEM
The quantity of work students face is an overwhelming issue at
Zayed University since it negatively affects their mental health and
increases their stress levels.
5. Zayed University is a higher education institution.
Zayed University is known for its focus on empowering
women and preparing both men and women for leadership
roles in the UAE.

8. CLOSELY SCHEDUELEDCLASSESANDSTRICT DEADLINES:
Having strict deadlines and closely spaced schedules makes it challenging
for students to manage their work and prioritize their classes.
Ihantola's 2020 study on MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) reveals
that fixed-schedule courses have a higher early dropout rate (50%),
compared to self-paced MOOCs (17%).
10. ACAEDMICSTRESSANDPOORMENTALHEALTH
Excessive workload is a common issue at Zayed University, leading to poor
mental health and academic stress.
According to Yang et al., (2021b) there was a positive correlation between
academic workload and perceived stress.
12. SOLUTIONA:IMPLEMENTINGTIMEMANAGEMENTRESOURCES
Promoting time management resources improves student performance, motivation, and
reduces stress. Kearns & Gardiner's 2007 study (269 participants) found higher perceived
effectiveness at work with time management strategies.
Effective time management significantly influences academic achievement. In a survey,
"Time planning" emerged as the most influential predictor, showing the strongest
positive correlation with success.
13. SOLUTIONB:IMPLEMENTINGMENTALHEALTHSUPPORTSERVICES
Better mental health communication boosts academic performance. Priestley et al.
(2021b) recommend improving service accessibility for a proactive university mental
health culture, potentially enhancing student well-being.
17% of students use university mental health services, with 37% lacking information and
30% unaware. Understanding these reasons is crucial for tailoring interventions to
increase mental health support access.
14. Zayed University board and ADEK (Department of Education and Knowledge) can solve this issue
WHOCANSOLVETHISISSUE?
15. By addressing this issue, ADEK and the Zayed University board will
be able to enhance mental and physical health results through the
use of time management and mental health support resources.
Workload prioritization is critical for establishing a healthier and
more satisfied environment.
