/Terao (2003) states, Program planning is an organized process through which a set of coordinated
activities or interventions is developed to address and facilitate change in some or all of the
identified problems. Program Evaluation is the application of different social research designs in
assessing the needs and results of programs. In short, Program Planning and Program Evaluation is

The plan has added another targeted population and other agencies that will be used for particular
services. The plan will outline how the relationship between this agency and other services
providers would function, and the evaluation would outline whether or not the agencies meet the
guidelines set forth by this agency and governmental guidelines. The objective that will provide
young people who are or have been involved with the criminal justice system with a rehabilitation
program targets another population. The plan must define the targeted age group or groups; the
plan must define the sources targeted to work as a part of the rehabilitation program. The
evaluation will determine through research, exploratory study and descriptive research, the most
effective agencies and strategies to use for the success of this type of program. The grant programs
for the funding of the agency needs a plan that will outline securing other funding that will meet the
day to day operations of the program. Staffing, materials needed, and other fundamentals to run a
program must be taken into consideration. The budgeted amount to run the agency can be
determined by the evaluation of all that is a part of the objective and this will determine if the
criteria has been met for the grants applied for. The Investor Program has a maximum number of

Caste Discrimination Essay
Caste Discrimination In Dalit Society
Caste discrimination has affected an estimated 260 million people worldwide, the vast majority
living in South Asia . Caste Discrimination in the conveyance of education and Health facilities and
other fundamental human rights are also the exceptional barrier for Dalit people severely affecting
their well being and possibility. In spite of being a human they are still lacking behind the rights
they are supposed to get to develop themselves. Education and health facilities are the vital factors
which are most important in human life to grow strongly, however, these factors have not been

They are still lacking behind in term of health and education even after the establishment of new
policies for the improvement of Dalit community. However, lots of quotas has for education
sector for Dalit people in order to continue their further education. The government has made a
particular focus on the health condition of Dalit community. The caste discrimination system
has negatively affected Dalit society which has led to inadequate health facilities and education
facilities and is still facing many problems in their daily life. This is, however, is affecting the
people in term of personal growth, so in my honest opinion, the government of a country should
focus more on Dalit people for their development. They should remove the dominance of higher
caste in schools, as a result, it will lead to the increase in the number of participants of Dalit
people. Health awareness education should be given to the people so that they can prevent and
have precaution towards various diseases.. Moreover, hospitals should be available nearby their
houses and education should be provide for the whole society of lower group because it will help

Reflective Essay On Student Behavior
Initial thoughts: Ms. Rollison needs to understand that students behave differently which will
require a different way to approach their behavior. In most cases, when a student is acting out it is
due to something stressful they are experiencing. A young student does not communicate their
wants and needs well, this causes them to express their emotion is not the best manner. When
children need are not met they will misbehave more frequently. Therefore, Ms. Rollison will need to
understand and have patience with the student because there is always a reason behind why the
student is misbehaving.
Final thoughts: Students behavior can be influenced by many things such as their cultural
influences, living situation, and what they are exposed to. Ms. Rollison needs to be aware of the
cultural influence that affects the student s behavior. Every culture is different and it influences
how a student will interact and respond to authority. Culture can influence the way they talk with
their peers, views on sharing, and the way they act all around. Having many students with different
culture background leads to a diverse class with different views on how they act toward their peers.
Ms. Rollison needs to approach the classroom with an open mind and interact with the kids and
learn their behaviors. Moreover, she needs to learn what impact their behavior and understand that
not everybody views the world the same because outside factors play a role in the student s
behavior. Something that Ms. Rollison views as being impolite or rude, might be seen as something
suitable in her student s culture. Understanding other students culture is extremely important
because when she creates her classroom management plan, she will know what will be appropriate
for her students.
Question 2: What can Ms. Rollison do to increase the chances that her students will behave
appropriately in class?
Initial thoughts: There is many technique Ms. Rollison can use to help with her students behaving
appropriately in the classroom. One technique she could use is at the beginning of the year ask the
students what type of rule they would like to have in the classroom. The student will more likely
obey the class rules because they had a part in

The Descriptive and Symbolic Conceptions in Social Studies
1)Symbolic forms are of vital importance in the social studies not only as an object and/or
occurrence, whether naturally occurring or not, but it is also of significance in the socio
contextual situation in which it is received. These symbolic forms can appear as actions and
expressions, conversations, a variety of artifacts artifact being defined as an object made by a
human being, typically holds cultural or historical significance and texts. (Thompson, 1990, pg.
122) (http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/artefact) Everyone makes use of these
symbolic forms on a daily basis to express themselves and their emotions in any variety of ways,
while conforming to commonly accepted means of expression within that individuals society. By
interpreting the reaction they evoke, they develop an understanding of the connotations associated
with the symbols. Once they have learned the social context of the symbols they further their
knowledge of each social background and its construct. For example the symbol of a crucifix and
of a red rose are both simple items, with individual associations under different contextual situations
which determine what relevance that item holds. The crucifix is an artifact holding religious
significance, whereas a red rose is a naturally occurring object which has been assigned its
association with love within specific societies. The associations attached to symbols is entirely
dependent on its socio cultural context in which it is

Truck Leasing Problem Essay
Winnie Cheng
ESE 204
Truck Leasing Strategy
Reep Construction recently won a contract for the excavation and site preparation of a new rest
area on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The main problem is that the firm wants to minimize cost of
meeting the monthly trucking requirements for this project but also follows a no layoff policy.
The constraints of the problem are as follows:
The job requires four months to complete, with 10, 12, 14 and 8 trucks needed in months 1 through
4, respectively.
The firm signed a long term lease with PennState Leasing last year for trucks where one of these
trucks will be available for use on the new project in month 1, two for month 2, three for month 3
and one for month 4. The long term leasing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This plan would lead to a minimal cost of $151,660.
The costs are split up amongst the type of trucks in this way: Type of Truck| Cost| Long term trucks
(7)| 2000*7 = 14000| S13 (3)| 11675*3 = 35025| S14 (6)| 14160*6 = 84960| S23 (1)| 11675| S31
(1)| 6000| Total Cost| 151660|
The reduced cost for S11, S41, S12, S22, and S32 is above zero because in the solution these
values are zero, so increasing the final value of these trucks or leasing one of any of these trucks
would lead to an increase in cost of 3515, 3515, 3725, 210 and 915, respectively. This also means
that the cost would have to decrease by those respective numbers in order for the optimal solution to
include those variables.
The shadow prices for each of the constraints show how much the objective function would get
better or worse by if the right hand side was increased by one unit. For instance if the total
number of trucks needed for month 1 increased from 10 to 11, the cost would get better by $2485
or decrease by $2485 (since the shadow price is the negative of the dual price). The positive dual
values for the long term trucks show that using the long term trucks instead of the short term trucks
actually

Sympathy In The Book Thief
For my fiction book, I have decided to read The Book Thief , by the Australian writer Markus
Zusak. The story begins with an introduction narrated by Death personified. I ve found that
unlike the many times I ve read about this being and their thought process , this one is almost
kinder in a way. It is not a heartless being that has merely grown bored of it s eternal task, it feels
sympathy for those he effects, both directly and indirectly. It seems to take an almost childish
interest in the main protagonist, Liesel Meminger, one filled with innocence and curiosity. As
for her, I have found myself feeling a great deal of both sympathy and empathy for her. On her
way to her foster parents home, her 6 year old brother, Werner, falls ill and dies right in front of
her, and they, she and her mother, are forced to bury him in a graveyard along the railroad tracks.
This is where she steals her first book, The Gravedigger s Handbook. Once she arrives at her
new home, 33 Himmel Street in Molching, Germany, she meets her foster parents, Hans and
Rosa Hubermann. Rosa is violent to some extent, often beating Liesel over the head with a
wooden spoon, as well as using excessively foul language, often calling Liesel and Hans filthy pigs
. Despite this however, Rosa still loved Liesel, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

reading, and I never stray from that, even into the historical fiction genre that this book occupies.
I mentioned earlier that I felt a great deal of empathy for her, due to reading about her story
bringing up some rather unsavory memories about the passing of my own loved ones, as well as a
period in my life where I was one of the worst readers in my age group. It incited a great deal of
emotion on my part, and I doubt I ll forget about Leisel and her struggles anytime

Nuclear Radiation Research Paper
Discuss medical applications of nuclear radiation and their effects on society. Explain briefly how
the applications work. Include some of the scientists involved in their discovery and development.
Simply put radiation is energy or particles flying through space. Radiation comes in three forms
Alpha, Beta and Gamma radiation, all three types have vastly different applications and levels of
strength. The most common type of electromagnetic radiation used in the medical is known as
ionising radiation, that form of radiation is far more powerful than non ionising radiation because
it cannot break molecular bonds or ionise atoms. Nuclear radiation can both be exceptionally useful
and ridiculously dangerous if the proper measures are not put in place. Radiation is used most
predominantly in the medical field where patients receive controlled doses, the expositor to
radiation is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nuclear medicine is a specific branch of medicine that uses tiny amounts of radiation to measure
the severity or even treat many different disorders and diseases like heart disease, gastrointestinal
(stomach), endocrine (gland) and neurological disorders. Radiation is also successful in
identifying molecular irregularities in the body allowing for the doctors to treat the illness
before it progresses to an irreparable or fatal stage. Nuclear medical procedures are non invasive
and, in much of the cases, painless. There is a range of types of nuclear medical exams where a
radiotracer injected, inhaled as gas, or swallowed, radiotracers act as a contrast for the machine to
show the body as the clear image. Nuclear radiation offers procedures like radioactive iodine (I

Similarities Between Antigone And Thomas King
Society plays a crucial role in everyone s lives as it directs the way one behaves, observes, and
interacts. Antigone and Borders written by Sophocles and Thomas King respectively, demonstrate
the roles and decisions executed by the protagonists according to societal expectations. To briefly
describe, Antigoneis a play set in the ancient Geek era where the protagonist, Antigone, breaks a law
that holds the punishment of death, to give her traitorous brother a respectable funeral. On the
other hand, Borders is a short story set in modern day times where the protagonist, the narrator s
mother, is attempting to cross the border to visit her daughter without surrendering her Blackfoot
status to a Canadian or American citizenship. Both women... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

To emphasize, the phrase we had nowhere to go, that neither the Americans nor the Canadians
would let us in indicates that the narrator s mother knows that her decision to drive from border to
border is making the trip difficult not only for herself but her son as well (King 312). Not to
mention, it also illustrates that the mother is trying to dismiss her motherly characteristics like
being nurturing and affectionate and put up a hardened exterior because she wants acceptance for
herself. However, she did express some hope for her son to ensure him that they will gain justice
eventually, which demonstrates that even if she tries to venture out of the societal norms, her
motherly instincts will always be there (King 312). Moreover, it establishes that mother is willing
to push until she gets her way which is again typical of male qualities. Therefore, the violation of
the societal expectations reveals the narrator s mother s strong will to surpass the fear of the
aftermath by not complying to government authorities from two bordering

History And History Of The Arab Films
Do you think history is important? Why is it significant? And, does knowing the history of
everything in the life matter? Actually, these questions and many other questions have been asked
over many years all over the world and they have many different answers. Knowing the history of
many different things in the life is very important because of one sufficient and helpful reason;
knowing the history helps in understanding the present and in building the future. There are a lot of
subjects and things that people should know their history, such as the history of a country, the
history of a family, the history of arts, and the history of technology. Also, one of the most
important things that people should know its history is movies and the... Show more content on

And with this growth came a wider variety of films. But, perhaps inevitably, it was not until the
political upheaval in the years following WWII and the onset of the Palestinian Israeli conflict that
Arab cinema took up more hard hitting themes. (Seymour 70). Therefore, the European colonization
of the Arab nations touched the industry of Arab films positively.
Nevertheless, the industry of films in the Arab nations was not able to fund programs and movies
in spite of the needs to new programs and films. According to Viola Shafik in the Arab Cinema
book, the Arab channels have been in need for new programs but there is no funds that can support
them. Two dozen Arab channels, including those of the Egyptian ERTU (Egyptian Radio and TV
Union), are run in the Arab world and Europe and in the last few years have multiplied the need for
new Arab programs. The film industry, however, is unable to profit from this development. (Shafik
43).
Foreigners or European minorities who had immigrated to Arab countries owned the movies
theaters that were originally introduced in Arab nations. The same applied to film production,
which was originally dominated by investors who were non natives or foreigners. In evaluating the
development of the Cinema industry in Arab nations, Egypt would provide an ideal country

The Middle Of The Frankish Empire
In 772 C.E., the Carolingian ruler, Charlemagne (Charles the Great ) sought out to diminish a
growing threat in the north of the Frankish Empire. To clarify, the Saxons, a ferocious pagan
Germanic tribe, had expanded too close to Charlemagne s domain (Barbero, 2004). According to
Einhard, the little to no natural obstructions between the Franksand Saxonsresulted in arson,
invasions, and murders committed by both sides (Einhard, 122 C.E. ). These particular events
revealed the lack of security in the northern area of the Frankish Empire (Mayr Harting, 1996),
which ultimately, compelled Charlemagneto take action against the Saxons. In order to protect the
settlements and economic factors of the northern area of his empire, Charlemagne forced the
Saxons to convert to Christianity and integrated them into the Frankish Empire, thus, eliminating
the Saxon identity for self preservation.
In consonance with Henry Mayr Harting, a medieval ecclesiastical historian, Charlemagne viewed
the Saxons as a threat to the settlements and economic factors in the north of the Frankish Empire.
For instance, located in the northern region of the Frankish Empire, on the banks of the Rhine
River, were the churches of Cologne and Mainz, which were important to the Carolingian
civilization (Mayr Harting, 1996). Additionally, Rhine played a significant role in the economy of
the Frankish Empire. Between the 780s and 820s, Rhine experienced large amounts of movement
due to Rhenish imports

My Own Guide On Conquering Love
Love is a rigorous journey, with no real rules on how to endure it. After reading many experts
thoughts on love, I have come to realize that it generally falls into three categories: how to find a
casual relationship, how to take that relationship to a deeper level, and how to deal with a breakup.
With the help of various sources of modern and ancient times, I have constructed my own guide on
conquering love.
The first, and most important, step to finding someone you re interested in is to always be
mentally ready to pick up. Experts believe this is an important step because you will run into
attractive people everywhere. It will happen while at the theatre, races, circus, beach, or even out
walking. Social media websites such as Tinder or Hinge, or social events such as, alumni meet
ups, restaurants, bars, parties, grocery stores, out on biking trails, and kickboxing class are also
ways to meet new people.
The kickboxing reference brings us to my next step: take care with how you look. Your hair
should be professionally cut, your nails clean and proper, your nostrils hair free, and your breath
shouldn t smell. Yes, you re trying to look your best, but don t try and conceal your defects.
Despite what others may say, it s unrealistic. Included in your first impression appearance is your
body language; it makes you seem approachable. People are typically attracted to confidence, so
giving your prey the look, or flashing a bright smile can really boost your level

One thing in my life that I had to dive into doing was being a single parent. I no longer had just
myself to worry about and to take care of; I was going to have another person to be responsible for.
I had a mixture of feelings when I found out I was pregnant. I did not know if his dad was going to
be around or not to help me. I was worried, nervous, scared and excited all at the same time.
I was not working at the time, so I had very little money and his father only paid child support
when he decided to, or when the courts forced him to pay. It is a very scary feeling to be on your
own with a little guy who depended on me for his every need. His dad comes and goes in and out
of his life whenever he feels the need to without any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After what seemed like an eternity they finally came, we hopped into the ambulance and sped
off to the ER. They stripped him down to nothing but his diaper and helped cool him off with a
wet washcloth until we arrived at the hospital. After waiting for what seemed like forever, the
doctor came to check him and diagnosed that the reason he had this seizure was because in just a
short time he went from being a normal kid to having a such a high temperature that his body
reacted in quite a frightening and scary way. They gave him a shot of Motrin and we waited until
his fever started to come down.
There have been other times that have been challenging in being a single parent, but we have gotten
through them with the help of friends and family. As he got older he was diagnosed as having
Asperger s Syndrome, a form of Autism, which is a developmental disorder that affects a child s
ability to socialize and communicate effectively with others. He struggles in school with his
homework and relating to other people.
With this disorder he gets stressed out very easily. When he is feeling overwhelmed he tends to
shut down or give up. He was given an IEP, an Individualized Education Program, which helps kids
reach educational goals easier than they otherwise would. It gives him leeway when it comes to
certain things like homework and tests. They limit the amount homework he has

Vanir Vs Aesir
Norse Gods and Goddessess are seperated into two different groups: The Vanir and The Aesir.
The Vanir group were associated with the earth, prosperity, and fertility. While the Aesir were
gods of war and of sky. The two groups were at war in the beginning possibly because of differing
beliefs. Once both sides realized neither would win the war, they joined together to fight common
enemies. The Chief among the Aesir gods, was Odin. Odin is the godof battle, wisdom, and poetry.
He is considered the most important and highly ranked Norse deity. The Voluspa says that Odin
and his brothers made the first man and first woman out of an ash tree and an elm tree. His wife
Frigg was the godess of the sky, marriage, and childbirth. She is the most powerful goddess in
Asgard. Odin had a son named Balder who was the god of light, he was also gentle and handsome.

Comparing The American Revolution and The American Civil...
As we study American history we see that the saying, History repeats itself reveals much truth. As
we look closer at the American Revolution and the American Civil War, we can find many
similarities between the two. Another saying that is made known is that We learn from our
mistakes, ; but even the greatest men and women of our history did not follow. The main causes for
both wars were the fightfor liberty. If we are to analyze this issue in both wars, we see that the
conclusion of one war leads to the beginning of another. As Semisonic sings, Every new beginning
comes from some other beginnings end. ;

A pamphlet authored by Thomas Paine, became a real best seller and many after reading such
literature were ready to fight for their freedom. These legislatures were derived from the King of
England George III. He soon became the most disliked man in American homes. The Revolution
War brought the people together in a patriotic manner. Soon, a document that would change the
lives of many was constituted for the citizens of America. The Declaration of Independence was
then formed and granted all men freedom and equality.
Freedom was finally rewarded to Americans, but how they manipulate, it was up to them. Was
freedom and equality guaranteed for all men and women? Studying history we see that it does
differ and in the Declaration it states, all men are created equal. ; This gets interpreted as all white
men are created equal. In having such frame of mind, civilians began disputing. Not for the equal
rights primarily, but for the unlawful slavery that was occurring. This time in history many laws
and acts were distributed but often ignored such as the Fugitive Slave Acts 1850 and the Wilmont
Proviso of 1846. Both were set for the benefits in trying to start the unchaining of slavery. Similarly
to the Revolution, the Americans can be compared with the slaves of the United States. In parallel
with writings from the Revolution, the Civil War had some great writers that

Analysis Of The Article Battle Of Hastings
The article from Wikipedia called Battle of Hastings is about the historical Battle of Hastings,
fought on October 14, 1066. Part of the Norman conquest of England, it was between the
Norman French army of William, the Duke of Normandy, and an English army under the Anglo
Saxon King Harold Godwinson. Taking place approximately 7 miles northwest of Hastings, East
Sussex, England, it was a Norman victory. This significant battle was fought due to the death of
childless King Edward the Confessor which caused Harold to be crowned king shortly after King
Edward s death. However, Harold faced invasion of Duke William as Duke William claimed he
had been promised the throne by King Edward and that Harold had sworn to this agreement (Battle
of Hastings, 2016). The battle lasted from about 9 a.m. to dusk, with estimates of around 10,000
men fighting for Duke William and about 7,000 men for Harold. The battle ended with the death
of Harold which had led to the defeat and retreat of most of his army (Battle of Hastings, 2016).
Many historians have their theories about the possible outcomes of the Battle of Hastings. One
was Harold had to defend against almost two simultaneous invasions. Some historians will fault
Harold for not gathering up enough, troops after the previous battle he had in the previous month.
Another reason Harold is blamed for the outcome, and loss of England, is because Duke William
was a much more experienced military leader than Harold. In the end, Harold s

Ak-12 Vs M16a4 Comparison
AK 12 VS. M16A4
The AK 12 and M16A4 rifles are good in their own separate ways. One may be better in one
aspect, the other in another. The rifles ultimately balance each other in separate categories. Both
rifles came into service in the 2000 s. Of the two, I believe the AK 12 is the better rifle.
The AK 12 is a somewhat heavy rifle. At 3.3 KG, it is heavier than the M16A4. It has a shorter
length than the M16A4. It s barrel is also shorter, at 415mm, it is shorter than the M16A4 as
well. The AK 12 has a fully automatic system, while the M16A4 only has a 3 round burst or semi
automatic. Since it is automatic, it has a higher fire rate. It also has a faster bullet, as well as
effective firing range.
The M16A4 is a more versatile

Mongeon also claims that the best part of her job is being there every day with the residents,
and that they make it worth coming to work every day. Heather adds that the families can make
things a little tough. According to Mongeon the only time that it gets pretty difficult, is when
the resident is in a higher level of care than the facility can give and the family is in denial.
Heather was asked if she believes there are any social issues for an assisted living home, and
immediately said yes. She states that the residents that are higher class look down on the ones that
are maybe more lower class. She ostensibly said that there are quite a few cliques such as the
gossipers, the bullies, the higher class, the judgmental ones, and of course the nosey ones.
Heather stated that an assisted living home and a nursing home are completely different. An
assisted living home provides some help, but the residents must be able to still ambulate on their
own and bath mostly on their own with some assistance. As for a nursing home, faculty helps with
most of the residents needs. They help with toileting, bathing, feeding, and walking. Nursing homes
are a high care facility. Assisted living homes have only three types of services, independent living,
which they are still able to do everything on their own; then there is assisted living in which the
resident may need some assistance with bathing or walking; finally, there is enhanced living

My Philosophy Statement Essay
My Philosophy Statement
In this philosophy statement you will not be reading the statement of a great philosophical mind,
but of an education student who loves to work with kids and who tries to have the students best
interest in mind. comparing and contrasting my views with the views of many of the philosophical
giants throughout history I will discuss five topics: 1.) the nature of students, 2.) the nature of
knowledge, 3.) the purpose of public education, 4.) the method of education, 5.) and the curriculum
that should be used in public schools.
Taking off on the topic of the nature of human beings we need to look back at our own childhood

I also agree with the pragmatist/progressivists about the area of evolving knowledge. Throughout
our lives, and especially in our younger years, we develop different changes and experiences. For
instance, after sent to stand in the corner for the tenth time Billy finally realized that the action of
talking back to his mother had consequences.
My third topic, the purpose of education, has several areas in it that I am going to discuss, the first
being the general importance of education. Spring outlined many goals for education. The
prevention of teenage pregnancies, prevention of drug abuse, and the prevention of the spread of
sexually transmitted diseases were among the many goals. To achieve these goals I agree with the
pragmatist/progressivists that believe that we need to teach kids how to think and not what to
think. By teaching kids how to think we will allow them to see the consequences of their actions
and let them make the decision of whether they can handle the consequences or not. Today kids are
taught what to think and not how to think so they rebel to get out from under the control of their
authorities not seeing the consequences. For this reason education is very important, because it
allows students the opportunity to make educated and well founded judgments and decisions that
they may not have been able to make otherwise.
Continuing on with my third topic, I hope to accomplish several goals as a

An Understanding of Biblical Eschatology Achieved Through...
Introduction
Theologian Vern S. Poythress wrote, Theological systems, whether dispensationalist, covenantal,
Calvinist, Arminian, or even modernist, have a profound influence on the way we approach a
given [biblical] text. There is no portion of scripture that is more influenced by the theological
system of dispensationalist than that of biblical prophecy, particularly in the area of God s
redemptive plan from for humanity. The purpose of this essay is to establish that an appropriate
understanding of biblical eschatology can best be achieved through a dispensational theological
perspective.
Covenantalism
To gain a clearer understanding of the tenets of dispensational eschatology, it is necessary to
investigate the main ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Barry Horner points out, although the covenantalists feign a high regard of the role of Jewish
people in their covenantal construct, there is nothing distinctively covenantal ...when compared
with differing eschatological opinions . Therefore, they view all believers in both the Old and New
Testaments are to be regarded as the same faith community. Both Jewish and gentile believers are to
be collectively designated as the church and thus all the prophecies regarding both Israel and the
church can be amalgamated and regarded as a single entity. Therefore, under covenantalism, the
nation of Israel has no distinct future and the entirety of the Scriptures focuses solely on the
redemption of the church.
Dispensationalism
Dispensationalism interprets God s redemptive history for humanity by identifying specific
periods of time. These periods of time, or dispensations, are understood as having existed in the
past, persisting in the present, and will continue in the future. Charles Ryrie suggests that
Dispensationalism can be viewed as a household run by God. In this household world God is
dispensing or administering its affairs according to His own will and in various stages of revelation
in the process of time.
Dr. Mitchell defines the hermeneutical basis of Dispensationalism as an inductive interpretation of
the Scriptures. Beginning with the book of Genesis, Dispensationalism is built on determining the
progressive revelation of

German Us Boat Characteristics
German U Boats
U boats is an abbreviation for unterseeboat, which is German for submarine. U boats were heavily
used in both world wars by the Germans to devastating effect, sinking numerous merchant and
naval allied ships during the world wars. This effect was limited when the enigma code was
cracked by the allies and the U boats could be easily tracked.
Figure 1. The schematics for a German type VII C U boat, the most heavily used U boat by the
Germans during World War II.
There were many different types of U boats, each with different specifications. Later in the war
U boats were made for specific purposes, for example the Type VIID was designed for minelaying
and the Type VIIF was made for storing and using torpedoes. The type VIIF has the capacity to
hold 41 torpedoes, over double the capacity of any other U boat. 1
The most common U boat used in World War Two was the Type VIIC, with 577 built, 489 more

The main staging ground for the U boats was in the Atlantic Ocean between America and Great
Britain from the beginning of World War Two until May 1943. The battle in the Atlantic started
when a U 30 sunk an American passenger liner called Athenia. Hitler had planned for the U
boats to fight in the Atlantic anyway but wasn t prepared for the U boats to start so early in the
war. He planned for 250 U boats to fight but only had 57, and only 27 that were able to travel
away from the coast. U boats were a terrifying force for the allies as they had no way to properly
defend them early in the war. U boats mainly sunk American allied merchant conveys during World
War Two which stopped supplies reaching the British allied forces. The main weaponry the U Boats
used to sink the merchant conveys were torpedoes.

Honor In The Tragedy Of Julius Caesar By William Shakespeare
Honor is a quality defined as means of being true to a set of personal ideals, or being a man of
high integrity and respect. This is certainly subjective and can vary greatly depending on the
interpretation. This concept is explored in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare.
While some may argue that Marcus Junius Brutus is dishonorable, in reality Brutus is honorable
because he kills himself more willingly than he kills Julius Caesar, and he kills Caesar for the good
of Rome.
To begin, Brutus kills himself more willingly than he kills Caesar because he truly does love
Caesar and does not want to kill him, but he wants what is best for Rome. Brutus says, Farewell,
good Strato. Caesar now be still. I killed thee with half so good a will (V.v. 50 1). In other words,
Brutus kills himself half as willingly as he kills Caesar. Therefore, this shows that Brutus is
extremely honorable as even though he murders Caesar with the conspirators for the benefit of
Rome, he still has regrets about this decision as he has respect and love for Caesar, but Brutus is
more sure of killing himself then he is about killing a person he thinks is an ambitious character.
Secondly, Brutus, in a noble fashion politely says farewell to all of his friends before he surely
kills himself. Shakespeare writes, Farewell to you; and you; and you, Volumnius. Strato, thou hast
been all this while asleep. Farewell to these too, strato. Countrymen, my heart doth joy that yet all

Thin Red Line Argumentative Essay
The most fundamental and prominent component of the soundtrack is undoubtedly the dialogue.
The dialogue aligns the screenplay and scenes while complementing the screenplay, score,
cinematography and story line. With out the dialogue this would have been a jumbled so so movie.
The end scene affirms this. Through out the movie you hear a narrative of intimate thoughts and

Students With Learning Disabilities And Learning Differences
Intro
Being a teacher, one will encounter many students with learning disabilities or learning differences.
These things can be anything between attention deficit disorder to down syndrome. It is the teacher
s job to understand what that child is going through in order to ensure that they receive the best
available education possible. Now a teacher might say, I am not required to know how to teach
special education , which is where most of these students will be placed. But ones with minor
learning differences will be seen in everyday classroom environments. Therefore, a teacher should
want to educate every student to the best of their ability to ensure that no matter what learning
difference a child has that that child can be successful in life. One specific learning difference I am
going to talk about today is dyslexia. Many do not know what this learning difference really is or
even all of its causes, and symptoms. Many people probably do not know what the child has to go
through when getting an RTI or what that even is. They may not take in perspective on what
impact that child has on its family. Teachers should know how to give dyslexic children the best
education possible, and this starts out by getting with the family and forming and RTI. Then there
are many appropriate tools that may be used to ensure that the children can succeed in their
education.

Although the strenuous physical conditions of farm work in a Daara, as well as the relationship
between the talibe and marabout has attracted significant scholarly attention, it has largely been
misconstrued. As opposed to cruel exploitation of young men blinded by religious fervor, I will
argue that the induction of otherwise disenfranchised males into the brotherhood is a good remedy
for youth dislocation and dampens the disruptive effect of urbanization thus promoting political
stability by deterring civil unrest.
According to many civil conflict theorists, including Stathis Kalyvas, young people who are
physically dislocated from family, and without an occupation that can bring them economic
stability or social status are at risk of joining insurgency groups, since they are dissatisfied with
their exclusion from social respectability and blame it on political elites. While the young talibes of
rural marabouts are close to the bottom of Senegal s social hierarchy, their relationship with their
marabouts offers them opportunities to climb the social ladder that they would not have had
otherwise. For instance, talibes are usually given ownership of the farmland they worked on after
their servitude ends and in some cases; they are even given a wife. Such social and economic
offerings make joining the Mouride brotherhood quite appealing for young men with limited
prospects. The sect also offers its disciples a sense of fraternal belonging.

Research Paper On The Secession

The Secession of the South For years now tension has been building between the north and the
south. Their bonds are at a breaking point. The south, in an effort to preserve slavery, has broken

America? Just one year ago, Sam Houston, the former president of Texas, addressed secession. He

qualities of a person, government, and/or society (Webster s). It has become a natural occurrence
in America s way of life, even all around the world. It eventually evolved into a popular way of
communication called sarcasm. However, satirewas not always widely accepted in popular culture.
It was often shunned or misunderstood as a crude outlook on life. For example, an infamous piece
titled A Modest Proposal used a very large amount of satire throughout the entire essay... Show

This is an extremely satirical idea simply because of the fact that it is ridiculing two types of
people in one sentence. The first, being the Irish Catholics, are made fun of quite obviously. The
innuendo is that, prior to the statement, it is suggested that there is a surplus of papist babies born
nine months after Lent, later supported by calling Catholics the principal breeders (Swift 622).
This is seen as an advantage to decrease the amount of Catholics in England, taking the opportunity
and selling more babies, but with a religious background. This idea is supported by the second,
more hidden bash of prejudice Englishmen with a Protestant religious background. The idea that
the number of papists would decrease is presented through Swift while the narrator is in the
mindset of an English Protestant just to make fun and to point out how foolish the idea of it all
actually is.
The next example of extreme satire is when the author refers to an outside source. Swift goes on to
say that A very worthy person, a true lover of his country, and whose virtues I highly esteem, was
lately pleased in discoursing on this matter to offer a refinement upon my scheme (Swift 621). This
illustrates that another person is willing to support

David by Donatello and Michelangelo
David by Donatello and Michelangelo
When thinking about a triumph over an unimaginable feat, the story of David and Goliath comes to
mind. During the Italian Renaissance, Florence was under constant change and turmoil however
David remained a consistent symbol of endless possibilities for the people. For the Florentines,
David represented the essence of civic virtue courage, fortitude, and faith (Murray, 39). Various
artists have revealed their own depictions of the young shepherd boy but two stand out among the
masses. Donatello and Michelangelo both created masterpieces on the biblical subject although the
approaches of each artist were completely diverse and caused unique reactions.
In 1404, the very powerful Medici ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each David was sculpted in the naturalistic image that their creator envisioned. They also share
the commonality of association with the Medici family, a very powerful group of people that
loved the arts and was said to have commissioned Donatello for the David sculpture. Later on they
became too powerful and the republic forced them out of control, resulting in the creation of
another David as a celebration of their triumph. The earlier David stood in the courtyard of the
Palazzo della Signoria, which also happened to be the very place that Michelangelo s piece was
displayed upon completion.
Despite the fact that the David s share time periods, political meanings, and origins, the two
sculptures look completely different and evoke very different emotions. Perhaps the most
significant difference is found in the choices made by the artists to place their sculpture before or
after the battle against Goliath. Donatello s David is portrayed following the victory against the
feared adversary. He is full of glory and stands on the head Goliath with his oversized sword
clutched in his small hands. Michelangelo takes a different perspective and depicts David in the
moment before battle with nothing but his sling in hand. This creates more of a feeling of
anticipation and strength of courage. The determination in Michelangelo s sculpture s face is very
apparent where Donatello creates a face that is calm and victorious.

Protection for Whistleblowers in Malaysia
1.0Introduction
Legislative protection in Malaysia of whistleblowers is not an entirely new concept. Legislation
mandating personnel to disclose the existence of offences involving fraud or dishonesty, and the
attendant legal protections, already exist in certain sectors.
The Whistleblower Protection Act 2010 ( WPA ), which came into force on 15 December 2010,
is intended to provide all encompassing protection to the private and public sectors. One of the
WPA s key objectives is to fill in the gaps left by the said sectored specific legislation. The objective
of this act is to give safeguard to the whistleblower in the form of confidentiality of their
information, immunity from civil and malefactor action and safeguard from detrimental action
being taken against them. Whistleblower protection is one of the Malaysian Government s efforts
towards tackling corruption and promoting good governance under Regime Transformation
Programme (GTP).
The WPA is also a key legislative initiative to combat corruption by facilitating protected disclosures
through immunity from civil and criminal actions, confidentiality of information disclosed and
protection from retaliatory action. The WPA will, for the first time, introduce employment specific
criminal liability for retaliatory action taken at the workplace. Employers in Malaysia should
therefore review and, if necessary, implement appropriate revisions to their existing whistleblower
policies.

Analysis Of Paul Basden s A Congenial Way
Paul Basden begins his conversation on worship by seeking to define its meaning. However, the
reader will learn quickly that this task is easier said than done. Basden examines worship through
theological, biblical, and historical facets and ultimately determines that Worship has never been
practiced in all places by all people in one way (18). In order to discuss the various types of
worship in a congenial way, Basden introduces six authors that are charged with defending and
critique each other s methods.
First, Paul Zahl defines and defends the practice of formal liturgical worship. For Zahl, formal
liturgical worship is first and foremost vertical worship. Formal liturgical worship emphasizes
structure over spontaneity. Zahl defines ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Best acknowledges that often in worship skirmishes what divides is not what is important, namely
truth, but instead what is temporal, namely music style. For Best, the most effective way to
worship is to rely upon the historical truth preserved in the hymn book.
In Chapter 3, Joe Horness sets forth an argument for contemporary music driven worship. This
style of worship has an emphasis on relationship. Horness seeks to set forth the true goal of
contemporary worship. It is not just about the instrumentation; instead it focuses on the
communication. Horness takes the reader personally through his journey from traditional
worship to contemporary worship, including his experience with Willow Creek Church. In his
chapter, Horness promotes an emphasis on connecting: connecting unbelievers with believers
and ultimately, connecting all people with God. He states, People of this generation are longing
to experience the genuine presence of God. And God is longing to move in and among the
hearts of his people. If we will learn to worship from hearts that are fully engaged, God will be
glorified and set free to move in us and among us (104). Horness ends his chapter with some brief
warnings for those involved in the contemporary worship. He then encourages all worshipers to
seek above all to bring their best to God

Therefore, Ms. Rollison will need to understand and have patience with the student because there is always a reason behind why the student is misbehaving. Final thoughts: Students behavior can be influenced by many things such as their cultural influences, living situation, and what they are exposed to. Ms. Rollison needs to be aware of the cultural influence that affects the student s behavior. Every culture is different and it influences how a student will interact and respond to authority. Culture can influence the way they talk with their peers, views on sharing, and the way they act all around. Having many students with different culture background leads to a diverse class with different views on how they act toward their peers. Ms. Rollison needs to approach the classroom with an open mind and interact with the kids and learn their behaviors. Moreover, she needs to learn what impact their behavior and understand that not everybody views the world the same because outside factors play a role in the student s behavior. Something that Ms. Rollison views as being impolite or rude, might be seen as something suitable in her student s culture. Understanding other students culture is extremely important because when she creates her classroom management plan, she will know what will be appropriate for her students. Question 2: What can Ms. Rollison do to increase the chances that her students will behave appropriately in class? Initial thoughts: There is many technique Ms. Rollison can use to help with her students behaving appropriately in the classroom. These symbolic forms can appear as actions and expressions, conversations, a variety of artifacts artifact being defined as an object made by a human being, typically holds cultural or historical significance and texts. (Thompson, 1990, pg. 122) (http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/artefact) Everyone makes use of these symbolic forms on a daily basis to express themselves and their emotions in any variety of ways, while conforming to commonly accepted means of expression within that individuals society. By interpreting the reaction they evoke, they develop an understanding of the connotations associated with the symbols. Once they have learned the social context of the symbols they further their knowledge of each social background and its construct. For example the symbol of a crucifix and of a red rose are both simple items, with individual associations under different contextual situations which determine what relevance that item holds. The crucifix is an artifact holding religious significance, whereas a red rose is a naturally occurring object which has been assigned its association with love within specific societies. Truck Leasing Problem Essay Winnie Cheng ESE 204 Truck Leasing Strategy Reep Construction recently won a contract for the excavation and site preparation of a new rest area on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The main problem is that the firm wants to minimize cost of meeting the monthly trucking requirements for this project but also follows a no layoff policy. The constraints of the problem are as follows: The job requires four months to complete, with 10, 12, 14 and 8 trucks needed in months 1 through 4, respectively. The firm signed a long term lease with PennState Leasing last year for trucks where one of these trucks will be available for use on the new project in month 1, two for month 2, three for month 3 and one for month 4. The long term leasing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This plan would lead to a minimal cost of $151,660. The costs are split up amongst the type of trucks in this way: Type of Truck| Cost| Long term trucks (7)| 2000*7 = 14000| S13 (3)| 11675*3 = 35025| S14 (6)| 14160*6 = 84960| S23 (1)| 11675| S31 (1)| 6000| Total Cost| 151660| The reduced cost for S11, S41, S12, S22, and S32 is above zero because in the solution these values are zero, so increasing the final value of these trucks or leasing one of any of these trucks would lead to an increase in cost of 3515, 3515, 3725, 210 and 915, respectively. This also means that the cost would have to decrease by those respective numbers in order for the optimal solution to include those variables. The shadow prices for each of the constraints show how much the objective function would get better or worse by if the right hand side was increased by one unit. For instance if the total number of trucks needed for month 1 increased from 10 to 11, the cost would get better by $2485 or decrease by $2485 (since the shadow price is the negative of the dual price). The positive dual values for the long term trucks show that using the long term trucks instead of the short term trucks actually ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The story begins with an introduction narrated by Death personified. I ve found that unlike the many times I ve read about this being and their thought process , this one is almost kinder in a way. It is not a heartless being that has merely grown bored of it s eternal task, it feels sympathy for those he effects, both directly and indirectly. It seems to take an almost childish interest in the main protagonist, Liesel Meminger, one filled with innocence and curiosity. As for her, I have found myself feeling a great deal of both sympathy and empathy for her. On her way to her foster parents home, her 6 year old brother, Werner, falls ill and dies right in front of her, and they, she and her mother, are forced to bury him in a graveyard along the railroad tracks. This is where she steals her first book, The Gravedigger s Handbook. Once she arrives at her new home, 33 Himmel Street in Molching, Germany, she meets her foster parents, Hans and Rosa Hubermann. However, she did express some hope for her son to ensure him that they will gain justice eventually, which demonstrates that even if she tries to venture out of the societal norms, her motherly instincts will always be there (King 312). • 15. The Middle Of The Frankish Empire In 772 C.E., the Carolingian ruler, Charlemagne (Charles the Great ) sought out to diminish a growing threat in the north of the Frankish Empire. To clarify, the Saxons, a ferocious pagan Germanic tribe, had expanded too close to Charlemagne s domain (Barbero, 2004). According to Einhard, the little to no natural obstructions between the Franksand Saxonsresulted in arson, invasions, and murders committed by both sides (Einhard, 122 C.E. ). These particular events revealed the lack of security in the northern area of the Frankish Empire (Mayr Harting, 1996), which ultimately, compelled Charlemagneto take action against the Saxons. In order to protect the settlements and economic factors of the northern area of his empire, Charlemagne forced the Saxons to convert to Christianity and integrated them into the Frankish Empire, thus, eliminating the Saxon identity for self preservation. In consonance with Henry Mayr Harting, a medieval ecclesiastical historian, Charlemagne viewed the Saxons as a threat to the settlements and economic factors in the north of the Frankish Empire. For instance, located in the northern region of the Frankish Empire, on the banks of the Rhine River, were the churches of Cologne and Mainz, which were important to the Carolingian civilization (Mayr Harting, 1996). • 25. Analysis Of The Article Battle Of Hastings The article from Wikipedia called Battle of Hastings is about the historical Battle of Hastings, fought on October 14, 1066. Part of the Norman conquest of England, it was between the Norman French army of William, the Duke of Normandy, and an English army under the Anglo Saxon King Harold Godwinson. Taking place approximately 7 miles northwest of Hastings, East Sussex, England, it was a Norman victory. This significant battle was fought due to the death of childless King Edward the Confessor which caused Harold to be crowned king shortly after King Edward s death. However, Harold faced invasion of Duke William as Duke William claimed he had been promised the throne by King Edward and that Harold had sworn to this agreement (Battle of Hastings, 2016). The battle lasted from about 9 a.m. to dusk, with estimates of around 10,000 men fighting for Duke William and about 7,000 men for Harold. The battle ended with the death of Harold which had led to the defeat and retreat of most of his army (Battle of Hastings, 2016). Many historians have their theories about the possible outcomes of the Battle of Hastings. One was Harold had to defend against almost two simultaneous invasions. Some historians will fault Harold for not gathering up enough, troops after the previous battle he had in the previous month. Another reason Harold is blamed for the outcome, and loss of England, is because Duke William was a much more experienced military leader than Harold. In the end, Harold s ... At 3.3 KG, it is heavier than the M16A4. It has a shorter length than the M16A4. It s barrel is also shorter, at 415mm, it is shorter than the M16A4 as well. The AK 12 has a fully automatic system, while the M16A4 only has a 3 round burst or semi automatic. Since it is automatic, it has a higher fire rate. Heather stated that an assisted living home and a nursing home are completely different. An assisted living home provides some help, but the residents must be able to still ambulate on their own and bath mostly on their own with some assistance. As for a nursing home, faculty helps with most of the residents needs. They help with toileting, bathing, feeding, and walking. Nursing homes are a high care facility. My third topic, the purpose of education, has several areas in it that I am going to discuss, the first being the general importance of education. Spring outlined many goals for education. The prevention of teenage pregnancies, prevention of drug abuse, and the prevention of the spread of sexually transmitted diseases were among the many goals. To achieve these goals I agree with the pragmatist/progressivists that believe that we need to teach kids how to think and not what to think. By teaching kids how to think we will allow them to see the consequences of their actions and let them make the decision of whether they can handle the consequences or not. Today kids are taught what to think and not how to think so they rebel to get out from under the control of their authorities not seeing the consequences. For this reason education is very important, because it allows students the opportunity to make educated and well founded judgments and decisions that they may not have been able to make otherwise. There is no portion of scripture that is more influenced by the theological system of dispensationalist than that of biblical prophecy, particularly in the area of God s redemptive plan from for humanity. The purpose of this essay is to establish that an appropriate understanding of biblical eschatology can best be achieved through a dispensational theological perspective. As Barry Horner points out, although the covenantalists feign a high regard of the role of Jewish people in their covenantal construct, there is nothing distinctively covenantal ...when compared with differing eschatological opinions . Therefore, they view all believers in both the Old and New Testaments are to be regarded as the same faith community. Both Jewish and gentile believers are to be collectively designated as the church and thus all the prophecies regarding both Israel and the church can be amalgamated and regarded as a single entity. Therefore, under covenantalism, the nation of Israel has no distinct future and the entirety of the Scriptures focuses solely on the redemption of the church. Dispensationalism Dispensationalism interprets God s redemptive history for humanity by identifying specific periods of time. These periods of time, or dispensations, are understood as having existed in the past, persisting in the present, and will continue in the future. Charles Ryrie suggests that Dispensationalism can be viewed as a household run by God. In this household world God is dispensing or administering its affairs according to His own will and in various stages of revelation in the process of time. Dr. Mitchell defines the hermeneutical basis of Dispensationalism as an inductive interpretation of the Scriptures. Beginning with the book of Genesis, Dispensationalism is built on determining the progressive revelation of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Honor In The Tragedy Of Julius Caesar By William Shakespeare Honor is a quality defined as means of being true to a set of personal ideals, or being a man of high integrity and respect. This is certainly subjective and can vary greatly depending on the interpretation. This concept is explored in The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. While some may argue that Marcus Junius Brutus is dishonorable, in reality Brutus is honorable because he kills himself more willingly than he kills Julius Caesar, and he kills Caesar for the good of Rome. To begin, Brutus kills himself more willingly than he kills Caesar because he truly does love Caesar and does not want to kill him, but he wants what is best for Rome. Brutus says, Farewell, good Strato. Caesar now be still. I killed thee with half so good a will (V.v. 50 1). In other words, Brutus kills himself half as willingly as he kills Caesar. Therefore, this shows that Brutus is extremely honorable as even though he murders Caesar with the conspirators for the benefit of Rome, he still has regrets about this decision as he has respect and love for Caesar, but Brutus is more sure of killing himself then he is about killing a person he thinks is an ambitious character. Secondly, Brutus, in a noble fashion politely says farewell to all of his friends before he surely kills himself. Shakespeare writes, Farewell to you; and you; and you, Volumnius. As opposed to cruel exploitation of young men blinded by religious fervor, I will argue that the induction of otherwise disenfranchised males into the brotherhood is a good remedy for youth dislocation and dampens the disruptive effect of urbanization thus promoting political stability by deterring civil unrest. According to many civil conflict theorists, including Stathis Kalyvas, young people who are physically dislocated from family, and without an occupation that can bring them economic stability or social status are at risk of joining insurgency groups, since they are dissatisfied with their exclusion from social respectability and blame it on political elites. While the young talibes of rural marabouts are close to the bottom of Senegal s social hierarchy, their relationship with their marabouts offers them opportunities to climb the social ladder that they would not have had otherwise.
