REGISTRATION OF COURSES – EVEN / ODD SEMESTER
• Selection of courses satisfying the credit structure of courses as
per the components of curriculum
• Student can register new courses for minimum 14 credits and
maximum 30 credits( Per semester)
• The limit of Maximum 30 credits do not include courses of
reappearance
• The students are at liberty to drop the course (except pre-
requisite courses) in which reappear “RA” grade is obtained and
can choose a new course
• Not Eligible students should register afresh

Formative Assessment – Internal & Model
• Internal Assessment Tests (CATs) and Model examination
• Minimum Passing Marks – 35% i.e. 18 out of 50 Marks
• IAT I – I & II Units ( 90 Minutes)
• IAT II – III & IV Units ( 90 Minutes)
• Model – All Five Units ( 180 Minutes)
Pattern :
IAT I & II - Two Marks – 9 questions : 18 Marks
Sixteen Marks – 2 questions either or choice : 32Marks
Model Examination :
Two Marks – 10 questions : 20 Marks
Sixteen Marks – 5 questions either or choice : 80 Marks

Internal Assessment
• The IA Marks shall be based on day to day assessment, evaluation of
student assignment, Internal assessment tests, model examinations
etc.
• the requirement of 75% minimum attendance percentage for
appearing in IAT/Model
• minimum 18 marks i.e. 35% out of 50 marks as Internal Assessment
Marks
• Students who fail to secure minimum 18 marks have to repeat the
course again
• (IA) Marks already awarded for the courses(RA) studied in previous
semesters will be considered and valid for three attempts only
• Improvement of IA Marks of the courses to CoE through HoI by
paying required fee

• The student shall make a presentation at least three times in
the semester on the progress made by him/her before the
review committee. Accordingly internal assessment marks out
of 50 can be awarded to the student.

Attaining Eligibility criteria
• Students having more than 75% of attendance are eligible to
apply for the University Examination
• Students having attendance between 65% to 75% can are
also eligible to apply for the university examination by paying
the Condonation fees
• Condonation is applicable for the following reasons alone
• Illness (MC & FC should be produced)
• Unforeseen tragedy in family
• For any other reasons , HOI should approve

• Submission of Attendance Percentage (twice in a
semester) to CoE office through principal
• Submission of Eligible and not eligible students list
• Hall Ticket will be issued only to the eligible students

Passing Requirements-R2017
• A candidate securing not less than 50% of total marks
(IA + EA) prescribed for the course in both theory and
practical courses including project work will be
declared to have passed the Examination.
• IA – Minimum 18 Marks
• University Examination : Minimum 23 marks
• IA + University Exam. : Minimum 50 Marks

Calculation of Internal Assessment
& External Assessment-R2021
• 60% weightage of the total marks will be used for
Internal Assessment(IA) of the students by the
faculty in charge / Course handler in theory as
well as practical courses.
• 40% weightage of the total marks will be used for
External Assessment (EA) of the students and it
will be mandatory for the student to appear in
the exam. The examination may be conducted
Online/Offline depending on the prevailing
situation. 21

• A candidate securing not less than 50% of total marks

• IA – Minimum 24 out of 60 Marks
• University Examination : Minimum 16 out of 40 marks
• IA + University Exam. : Minimum 50 Marks

• Classification of performance of students in the
examinations pertaining to the courses in a
Programme is done on the basis of numerical value
of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). The
concept of CGPA is based on Marks, Credits, Grade
and Grade points assigned for different mark ranges.
