Audience
Our film “subconscious” was targeted at a
mass audience, this was decided in our
research of our target audience as the
genre they wanted to see was a horror-
thriller through this it was evident if we
follow the teachings of our research we
could appeal to a mass audience. A thriller
production that had heavy influence in our
production I s firstly “memento” and
“Dexter”. This is through the fact in
“Memento” the protagonist has a split
personality, and our protagonist also had
elements of “Dexter” in his split form of
the antagonist with heavy emphasis on
blood. We also incorporated just like
“Dexter” creative camera shots to engage
the audience.
Key Target Audience
In my film, the key group,
which we mainly targeted,
was both gender from ages of
16+. This is through the fact
this film is horror themed as
this is the sub-genre which
only targets film lovers that
appreciate convention.
My final production includes
elements that an independent
company would have. Firstly
through the fact we used
unknown actors. Therefore, if
our film was to be produced and
distributed it would be by an
independent film company.
Independent films are made on
a low budget.
The final product includes
creativity, excitement, and
restriction keeping the
audience on the edge. This is
inspired from the opening
sequence of “memento”. This
was distributed by
“Newmarket” Productions. Our
production we decided to name
“limitless” which is very
engaging in the editing which
introduces the film

  • 2. Audience Our film “subconscious” was targeted at a mass audience, this was decided in our research of our target audience as the genre they wanted to see was a horror- thriller through this it was evident if we follow the teachings of our research we could appeal to a mass audience. A thriller production that had heavy influence in our production I s firstly “memento” and “Dexter”. This is through the fact in “Memento” the protagonist has a split personality, and our protagonist also had elements of “Dexter” in his split form of the antagonist with heavy emphasis on blood. We also incorporated just like “Dexter” creative camera shots to engage the audience.
  • 3. Key Target Audience In my film, the key group, which we mainly targeted, was both gender from ages of 16+. This is through the fact this film is horror themed as this is the sub-genre which only targets film lovers that appreciate convention.
  • 4. My final production includes elements that an independent company would have. Firstly through the fact we used unknown actors. Therefore, if our film was to be produced and distributed it would be by an independent film company. Independent films are made on a low budget.
  • 5. The final product includes creativity, excitement, and restriction keeping the audience on the edge. This is inspired from the opening sequence of “memento”. This was distributed by “Newmarket” Productions. Our production we decided to name “limitless” which is very engaging in the editing which introduces the film
