We collected feedback from our target audience of 18-40 year olds through recorded interviews. We analyzed the recordings to understand how well the three texts were linked, if they supported or subverted the genre of punk rock, and how they were viewed aesthetically. We learned that the recurring themes across the texts helped link them together and that most felt we successfully subverted older punk rock conventions while implementing newer ones. The monochromatic theme created the dark, gritty mood aimed for in modern punk designs. However, opinions were divided on whether the focus was more on the artist or the music.
